Mk12:What does it mean in Fulani/Fufulde? |
Are you referring to the shaft pulling out, or the ball joint? It appears one can happen without the other. Cc Lexusgs430, adanny |
'RUGA' stands for Rural Grazing Area. It is not a Fulani term in that sense. Cattle rearing is the challenge and these are the men to fill the manpower needs of that challenge. Time will tell whether they are ready. |
The size of the beams, the thinness of the decking, the possibility of a septic tank AND borehole in less than 1.5metre surrounding, poor runoff... It's easy to see, but difficult to exact punishment because... it's ALWAYS better to force compliance at extra cost. Building should be demolished and compliance enforced. |
Will Mr. Adesina please do well to furnish the public with the dates the bail was granted and when the other cases were instituted? Highlighting Monday makes better sense when we assess the FG's presence at other hearings during the time period. |
I remember the VP's statements during his debate with Mr. Peter Obi on the issue of rice importation and imports from China, as a whole. He opined that Production was his focus and that we have done so well at it, in such a short time. Obi's view was that the economic metrics do not support that view. We are in the fifth year of this administration. The phrase "previous administration", which APC uses to refer to the entire PDP era, but especially the Jonathan era, should now be removed officially. We build and commission mills, but are they viable and producing? What is the distance from source and distance to market? What are their energy needs? Are they profitable? Asking such questions, without going ".. the money for those were squandered by the PDP government", is key. They squandered their budgets. Have you utilised yours? 2. Another of his opinions was the issue if the length of time. This is his fifth year. What has he started and when will he finish? It should be clear that issues, not politics, should henceforth be raised. |
Upon all the lying down the "wall" performed, upon all the strategy. Chai! E dey pain! |
1. Contest for long balls is poor 2. Coordination in attack needs to improve 3. We need to force a goal back by mounting pressure They are doing all the above better! ![]() |
@OP Perhaps you mean "Apena"? Nigerians need to correctly pronounce and spell in another language, as long as it is also Nigerian. |
People on here reasoning and writing about the so-called "wide consultations", "gradual ban", "in due time" are not really sincere, in my opinion. The President said in the last NBA conference that he decides what National Security entails. He needs to clarify the threat faced from IPOB rallies and speeches and that from the Almajiri system, as currently run. There is need to show Nigerians what his roadmap is and when his consultations will end. Telling the truth is a necessity for our history. Can he say, publicly, what manner of education he has in mind for these children, what manner of family care? |
Hey! First off, Chiamaka Nnadozie's name should be on this thread. Her sadness was touching. Even the referee knew to leave her alone after her double-handed thumbs-up. Cheers to her, wish her a good game against Germany! Now, we can talk vanBasten, his injury and the FIFA changes. |
Nice summary, adanny01 Sometimes, the savings in economy comes from timely trade-offs. Using the directional A/C vent when it rains, even in city driving, improves visibility and safety. Keeping the windows up in city driving carries beyond comfort to security, safety and visibility. Personally, it helps me deduce the state of the engine. I hear the compressor and the fans kick-in and go off, I watch my temperature gauge more closely and tune my sense of smell. I have come a long way, with experiences that necessitated those. It becomes an advantage during interstate driving because you trust the car and become more confident...with a very safe arrival ![]() |
@MrMcJay Ever left Lagos? I heard of Sweet Sensation when I came to Lagos. Haven't met a Crunchies here. |
When I hear the LIRS and FIRS say "only 10% of income earners are taxed", I wonder who is being referred to. Each time IGR is to be increased, someone or the other talks about "widening the tax net". The cost of legitimate business is not really analysed and the complaints of multiple taxation is ignored. OP, I'm glad you're not into haulage or transportation because, after you purchase a Federal sticker, you are obliged to purchase not only every State's you pass through, but every Local Government sticker as well. Yet you are not in a "tax net"? Signages are now part of overhead costs, different from the operational license. I've not even gotten to the CAC and TIN. Please, do help me spread the word, "most tax-payers are in multiple tax nets"! |
@ericmor I'm glad you saw the corner kick awarded against Ordega, even when she protested enough for a review. The yellow given the French for the poleaxe attempt on a defender's head was shown from various angles in multiple replays. Did you notice the Ordega replay was just once? In summary, until that penalty resulted in the best outcome, it would have been retaken. It wouldn't matter if a hundred people were inside the box already. |
We played well. Technical ability has improved. We were slow, with rather short passes, but we did well. I remain proud of the effort! |
I don't like the commentator. She can keep her personal opinions to herself. |
Alibaba should also think of crediting the accounts of citizens when public utilities fail. I wonder how many millionaires would have been made by now? Shock absorbers, street theft, poor street lighting, environmental sanitation, lack of potable water... I'm a millionaire, set for life! |
@naptu I like you, so I'll tell you. The Jonathan administration FROM THE TIME money was released began piling. Funding for this project became even less national and more participatory with the last administration. This stage of work could easily have been everything if the last election was lost. Point is, this job is now also longer than the past four years as well. This wasn't a Yar'adua project, mind you. The lesson to me is the same one not well learnt by this administration - to be honest about the challenges. With budgets coming mid-year, public/private participation will help release funds; but how well will currency fluxes be guaranteed? It's akin to the fuel importation problem where the issue was beyond importers looting. Payment had to be made readily. That fact is clearly seen now. It wasn't simply a political party issue. This isn't, either. |
I was flogged for serving my Grandfather's guest with my left. Literally flogged out of the house. I ran out for safety and was afraid to step back. I recall my Grandpa asking the person who flogged me whether he had forgotten that it was in the family. He then asked me what I did wrong and I really had no idea. People look at left-handed people strangely when we mould our "eba" and swallow with our left hands. Driving, both in Nigeria and the UK, feels better. I steer faster with my left. I now write with my right, though, to appease the effort of good people who wanted me to be a faster writer. It is peculiar, but it is not a curse. You can bet I don't mind children who offer their left hands for a handshake, much to the chagrin of their parents... |
This is a true example of "agbado inside bottle"... |
I sincerely hope Professor Osinbajo is reading this. After listening to Dr. Akinwumi and Peter Obi on this rice importation issue, I was surprised the Vice President still had a political opinion during his debate. It's almost like Petroleum Products importation or the Energy sector - any system that works as designed will be seen to be working. |
1. Thread is off. Well, comparisons can be made and decisions taken. 2. Personalities were foreseen. Dampening, really. Which way, Nigeria? Which way to go? |
Hello legalwealth, Would you mind giving dimensions of this LED caution sign? Alternatively, please try for a picture with one of the more popular types beside this LED type. (There are 2 popular types- one comes as double with very light aluminium stand, other is single, heavier and with a 3-point stand). |
Is "positioning" = Airport taxi and the likes? @OP Insightful story. You will need to ask yourself what you could have done better. The car owner's part is clear. Maybe that's the "positioning"... |
luvinhubby:Keke and okada would not have allowed Mr. Mills journey to the moon from Nigeria. They would have intercepted him before he left our borders, assisted by our roads. Yes, that little a distance. |
Double post due to server error... |
There should also be Governors' Pensioner Verification Exercise. They, too, should gather at Abuja with their original certificates of return, their original WAEC certificates, bank account details, payslips with evidence of tax deduction. They are also civil servants. |
After diligently reading 6pages, no Nigerian asked for Mr. Musa's national Representative or Senator. He also should have a local government chairman and State representative. Mr./ Mallam Musa, his family and his community have been trekking to fetch water for long enough for it to be a burden. It has become desirable in Nigeria that government officials no longer live huddled together, but amongst the people they represent. Every month, someone collects money from crude oil for a constituency project in Mallam Musa's community. Every month. It will be enlightening to enquire how this was not a priority. Can we now ask the right questions? ![]() |
Onnoghen doesn't count. If the APC/ Presidency feel they are up to the task, they should reject his resignation and conclude his trial. |
