Shy Steady:
I am have been dating a lady of I love for the past three years during which we have always met with each other's family members, friends and relatives.
She visits me in the same compound I share with my parents (I live in a separate flat), and most times spends the weekend in my house with my parents being aware as well as her's.
Shy Steady:
Thirdly and worst of it all; they have asked my fiance to leave me alone because they don't want their son to marry outside their tribe (total rubbish to me).
Three years of dating and family get together and your parents just realized your girl is not from your tribe!

FamilyRe: Sisters Batter Mistress For Dating Their Brother by coolier(f): 2:26am On Dec 16, 2009
She should either just let the law take its course, because that is not two fighting, it's four people bashing an innocent girl. But then that would mean the end of the courtship because her in-laws would deal with her after the wedding. Or she could withdraw her case, forgive her in-laws in the hope that they would accept her, and get on with her life.
FamilyRe: Married Or Not by coolier(f): 2:11am On Dec 16, 2009
jejelolatu:
church weddings ar not recognised in d court of law if its nt backd up by a certificate from d registry,
posakosa:
White weddings are not real WITHOUT A LEGAL DOCUMENT from the courts/Registry.
That is not correct. Church weddings are legal if performed in authorized churches, Orthodox churches like the Anglican Diocese of Nigeria, the Church of England, the Baptist Convention, Methodist and the Catholic Mission worldwide. These churches are licensed to marry. Their marriage certificate is binding under the law and can only be dissolved in the High Court of Justice.

Only Penticostal Churches(new generation churches) all over the world, that are not licensed to perform marriages require that the couple first of all be legally joined together at the Registry. A lot of people don't know this and these churches would not tell their members that they are not authorized to perform marriage ceremonies. So they suggest the couple get married at the Registry first and come in for a Church blessing. The plain truth is they are not licensed to marry and the marriage certificate issued in such churches is null and void except backed by the one from the Registry.

For me I would say that is a chance of a lifetime. Be it a course, some other form of further training, experience or a transfer abroad, forget who he's going with, that is not the issue here except you're making it one, you keep on emphasizing the fact he's going with a lady for one year, what has that got to do with anything? Is he eloping with her?. I would think that is a sort of progress/promotion for him now and when he eventually returns, if he does come back!. But better still for all you know it might be an open door for him. An opportunity which might never come again.

So his wife is pregnant with his first child? Big sentiments. Is he the first man that would miss the birth of his first child? That is why parents and in-laws abound.

and pls the company aint prepared 2 send the wife over with her hubby and the boss~
so she stays in nigeria~
If the company is not going to be responsible for his wife, though I find that hard to believe, then he should do it. A whole Manager of a company that can afford to send two of its staff abroad for a year should be able to apply for a visa for his spouse bearing in mind that he has a permit to work abroad, thereby living there for a year. Immigration laws allow your spouse to accompany you if you're being posted abroad legally. That way his wife can either go with him now or join him later. Or is your guy going on a visitor's visa? Is he staying in the same apartment with his boss for a year?
