RomanceRe: When Do We Say That A Lady Is Beautiful ? by coolier(f): 9:41am On Sep 07, 2008
When she has 'soul'. Beautiful from within, from the things that come out of her mouth - the way she speaks, comports herself and relates to people.

CrimeRe: 2 Kids Die Inside Parked Car, As Parents Party by coolier(f): 5:16pm On Sep 06, 2008
brownbonno:
Legal system attributes responsibilities to every person,in this case the Lady in custody is negligent and own a duty of care to secure her car against any unwarranted access without supervision.(if you carry a minor in your car without a set belt,if the police stops you,you will be given a fine because the minor is not wearing the belt). The parents of the late kids will only be charge if it can be established that they abandon the children to go their party.
Law is awkward in some situation that is why you see warning signs like, beware of Dogs,No trespass,Car park at owners risk.
I don't understand this, the car belongs to the lady and was parked in her garage. She just washed it and left the doors open to dry. As much as I feel for these two poor kids(God bless their souls), are you saying Mrs Abiandu has no right to leave her car opened in her own garage? Or is it her responsibility to keep vigil and keep an eye on other kids while their parents are partying?
FamilyRe: Can You Donate Your Kidney, for Your Husband Or Wife. by coolier(f): 4:47pm On Sep 06, 2008
@ Siena
OK forget God. We need two kidneys to function properly. That is the way it is and the way it will be. In a situation where one has a problem with one of the kidneys, the other authomatically takes charge. We need two eyes to be able to see flawlessly and two ears to hear soundly - but some people still use one, not as a matter of choice - and you yourself would agree with me that 'one is never like two'. There is no useless part in the human body.

And below, culled from the internet for your info:

"However, even in 1976 medical textbooks were beginning to admit the appendix had functions:

The appendix is not generally credited with significant function; however, current evidence tends to involve it in the immunologic mechanism.2

And in a 1995 medical textbook, the authors are emphatic about the function of the appendix:

The mucosa and submucosa of the appendix are dominated by lymphoid nodules, and its primary function is as an organ of the lymphatic system.3"

PoliticsRe: Oyo: Muslims Kick Against Return Of Schools To Missionaries by coolier(f): 3:44pm On Sep 06, 2008
In this particular case I don't think the government is favouring any group, it is only returning the schools to its original owners which are mainly missionaries. The government shouldn't have taken over the schools in the first place.

watin concern Mallam Bahushe with hustling, margarine no be dog food
To the average hausa man the world start and end in the north. They are so blinded by their ignorance that they believe God is an hausa man. Their blind arrogance is reflected in the plate number of Sokoto state, " the right to rule".
You're absolutely right no hausa man would go hustle abroad not because 'margarine no be dog food' but because our 'monkey dey work their baboon they chop'. They do go abroad and you need to see the way their young men spend while there. I had come accross two in a high brow shop in London once and they had this huge pile of travellers cheques(which would not be less than ten thousand pounds). They wanted to pay and could not decipher which is which. I had to come in when I realised they had Nigerian passports, took the whole lot from them(they did not even think twice before handing it to me), counted out their bill which ran into thousands, paid the cashier and hand them the remaining.

If mammals need only one kidney to function according to you and researchers like you, tell me, why did God give us two? Is it so that we have a 'spare' to give our husband when he needs it?
CrimeRe: Brother Attacks Sister For Refusing To Travel To Italy For "Business" by coolier(f): 2:15pm On Sep 06, 2008
There has to be more to the story, maybe the woman is a prostitute and the brother thinks the business is more lucrative abroad, or maybe she has those kids for her brother - something is just not right in her story. Or why else would she not report a criminal to the police? and how did she get to the hospital after she was set ablaze? And the hospital also did not call the police before admitting and starting to treat her?

Ms Coolier, if his life didn't depend on it, he wouldn't need a kidney donation.
Otherwise, he'll be on a Dialysis machine, for the rest of his life.
Could you honestly cope with that, see his daily suffering?
Well then if my life doesn't depend on it! If giving him one of my kidneys would not be my shortfall.

That is the height of poverty. Poor baby!
but i am kind of surprised as to why the clinic will ask for deposit, isnt it the duty of the govt to see how that little boy will be taken care of?
Na wa oh
Private clinics are not funded by the government. And even if they had taken the baby to a government hospital, they would still have asked them for a deposit, somebody has to be responsible for the upkeep of the baby except if the orders were from above!
