I have always believed our hospitals are slaughter houses. No drugs, no good modern day equipment and most of our experienced qualified doctors have sought for greener pastures in Europe and Saudi Arabia. In a country where we have over N300m allocated for Health alone in 2007, and our president still has to be flown abroad for medical treatment! Members in our House of Reps who think any unspent money is national cake which should be shared and 'eaten' by them should all cover their heads in shame. And the monies they spent, what do they have to show for it? can anybody see anything done?

There is no doubt that many Africans have an Obsession with Western Products from Education to Football.

There will always be some cases when the medical expertise needed may not be available locally for some ailments but the general attitude of rich Nigerians is to go abroad for the slightest medical discomfort.

Every citizen has a right to good comprehensive health services. Our leaders our corrupt. They have no excuse for Nigeria turning out the way it has. But then people have a right to spend their money the way they want. If they choose to spend it on medical trips abroad then that is their choice and it's their money NOT the governments. But you see these rich people as you call them have NO CHOICE than to go abroad. We have no hospitals in Nigeria, and no rich man would want to be bothered with buying cotton wool, a piece of gloves, syringe or even a pint of blood, armed with your bedsheets, pillows and pillowcases when going on admission in a government hospital. No sane person would want to be killed in a Nigerian hospital for that matter.

Now why would you be asking that now after having gone through all the admission process. One would have thought that is the first thing you should have done - find out all you can about the school before applying for admission. Then next is "Thanks Bulga, am actually considering University of Glasgow".

So are you going to start the admission process for Glasgow all over again? Or you think you can just call UCAS from Nigeria to change your university just like that, after having received one admission package, a copy of which would have gone to the British High Commission in Lagos?

If this had been an examination, you would all have failed woefully. Simple question: Can Abiola Ajimola Govern Oyo State? And you all went on and on about Abiola Ajimobi. Is it possible for the guy to have two surnames?

Can someone please tell me why these people are already in court(sharp sharp like my people would say) and nothing has happened to Madam Speaker yet for her almost N640m embezzlement. Or have I missed the news somehow?

like i said,football might not mean anything to you but it means a lot to lagosians,go find out how many nigerians are stuck to their tv s when the football season starts or when nigeria is playing any national or international match,what dyu think has been calming people down apart from show biz.

Am a football fanatic myself. But am still saying football reality shows should be left to the private sector, it SHOULD NOT be the preoccupation of any serious state Governor. And I believe there are far too many forms of recreation and better things to do with ones time and energy than sitting in front of the f---ing TV and watching a monotonous nauseating football reality show.

Doing a lot in Lagos State? The first I heard of the guy he was trying to build a Boat Hotel at a ridiculous whooping sum of about 25 million (euros). Nobody has accused him of corruption yet on this thread, but now - you have rightly said it.

Wonders will never end. "We are in the process of cutting off some fingers, these people are still trying to put on a ring", now why would a state governor turn TV producer/director. If fashola is that interested in sports why doesn't he try to revive the then AAA (Amateur Athletics Association) Sports, Ionian Sports Competitions and a lot of others. Who voted all these people in?

I would advice the government of Anambra State to stop wasting tax payer's time and money on petty, idiotic and propagandistic projects like banning the use of condoms! What? Someone should please tell this joker governor to embark on cardinal programmes that would benefit the masses. Am sure there's loads of them.

At least the next generation would be luckier.

Am sure the baby would understand perfectly well when she grows up and even boast about it to her friends in school. It is only in a country like Nigeria that people are shocked, amazed and gossip about things like that. Sex change is quite common here in UK.
