If she is still in Nigeria for the next 2-3yrs, she should apply to a nursing school in naija as that will save you lots of money and you will be debt free.

You can pre-book or buy at the airport (usually more expensive).

You could also do a train movement if possible (check viarail to see dates, durations).

I posted here because some people going to Canada are learning French to boost their scores and options.

If one has presentation skills in English, they have it in french as well. I would think that a B2 level (or strong B1) is enough for this job.

New Brunswick is hiring casual staff to work remotely from Nigeria.

Nigeria most times will give u RN or HND courses which will qualify for LPN.

Alternative to Nigeria if you have the money, is to go to Cameroon for HND or BSc and license there before travelling

This is basically the blueprint we have. Step by step when she comes.

What we're wondering is if she should study something in Nigeria in the meantime in addition driving, french, english.

If she is sure of getting this Spousal visa that will solve the immigration aspect of Canada's Nursing route, then while in Canada u should search for certain colleges or vocational schools( some are free or subsidized by government) to do Personal Support Worker course/ program which may not be more than 1 year. This will put her foot in the health care industry then, she will see how to go for Nursing course proper as she earns money from the PSW job.... Some schools may give waiver on some courses already earned during the PSW course. Studying in Canada gives an edge to easily register in Canada as a Nurse.

* The NNAS will now be contacted... Those who studied outside Canada( who have a way of getting their immigration status), will still need the NNAS, CNO( If in Ontario) and NCLEX RN.... Writing the NNAS and CNO will help clear doubts..... You need to specifically ask if they register new Nurses too. Another province used by international Nurses is Edmonton, Alberta..... Anything, Canada for Nurses need PATIENCE as you walk through it.

Besides, ad u are trying to do the Nursing process, you have to sort out the Permanent residency aspect concurrently.

Check YOUTUBE especially for Ontario and New Brunswick provinces and on DIY possibility.... You may opt for LPN route....YouTube will still guide you.

In Port, 400,000 should be good enough for most young-ish people. To keep them here at least another 5 years. Provided the currency or inflation do not get worse.
