Bro, i suggest you try to offer services on preply.com

And congratulations on your success! Especially as a self taught person.

Carry others along.
79733139:
Do You Need a French Speaking Partner Who is Conversant with the TEF Exam?

Then, I am your guy! Hello, my name is Tayo and officially I started learning French (on my own) on 1st October 2019, but I did not get serious till around April/May 2020. Before I took the TEF exam on 31st October 2022 (in Cotonou), I was self-taught (I took just 15 hours of speaking lessons with a French tutor) and I did relatively well except in the speaking where I scored 430 points. I need at least 450 points in all the tests to get the additional 50 points for French as a second language.

This year, I attended a French speaking class for B2+ in February (all lessons totalled 42 hours) and I have taken speaking lessons with two French tutors (a combined total of 65 hours), practising and drilling on the speaking test of TEF.

I intend to take the exam this month or next month. If you need a speaking partner or someone to correct your essays (both the journalistic article and the formal letter) and also rewrite your essays using your own ideas, I am always available.

I charge a token fee for these services, so kindly call me on these numbers: [08039194272 - Whatsapp] or [07056193484].

PS: I have attached my TEF results to this message.

TravelRe: All TEF Candidates For Canada Immigration, Let's Meet Here! by cooooooks(m): 11:34pm On Jun 08, 2023
I strongly suggest you consider Cameroun amd Benin Republic.

I would have said Senegal but there are some political issues there right now.

Do a course, or textbook by yourself first, over 1 - 3 weeks.

Go for a long term immersion. 4 - 8 months, with the view of taking an exam immediately after.

babakb:
French is the most relevant thing now on Canada Immigration and is likely to remain so for the next 5 years.

I've procrastinated enough, I'm moving to Abidjan next month for a 3 months immersion and intensive course.

Turn your main bedroom into bedroom and office.

Or turn your living room into office.

Rent out the one room on airbnb, target visitorsat N15,000 a night for 20 nights a month. That's an extra N300,000 a month.

Essenza01:
I really don't know anymore, i just did my budget for the month and i am scared, i have cut from everywhere possible and i fear for my self.. i dont have a GF, Wife, Children.. my salary is N400,000 and i have added side businesses and one or two's to even survive.. but with this fuel increase, what else is left... zero savings..

- Rent - N108,333/mth (1,300,000/12)
- Fuel for car - N180,000 (36k for 5-6days)
- Auto maintenance - N30,000/mth (service/repair)
- Fuel for generator - N50,000/mth (20ltr/wk)
- Feeding - N62,000 - (N2,000/day)
- Health miscellenous - N5,000/mth
- Dstv - N4,500/mth
- Data - N7,000/mth
- Recharge card - N3,000/mth
- Dry cleaner - N4,000/mth (Starch/iron)
- Hygiene maintenance - N10,000 (body spray/perfume, roll on, soap, cream) etc..
-  Gift to people - N10,000/mth
-  Family House contribution - N20,000/mth
- Eko electric - N10,000/mth
- repairs and maintenance - N12,000/mth
- Clothing, footwear etc - N10,000/mth
- Outings, restaurant, sit outs and provisions - N30,000/mth

Total = N556,500...

My rent is average rent for where i stay, its a two bed flat, i use the other room for home office..

Feeding is N2,000/day.. its not anything out of the ordinary.. tried cooking and spent more with time wasting.

Fuel for car is at the new rate of N500/ltr, my car is a 70ltr car tank..

Auto maintenance is basic brake pads, shocks, service 2mths, tire guage, police pr, tire purchase if any, minor touch ups etc... nothing major.

Fuel for generator is 20ltr/day (2hrs or less daily)

I need help.... how are you people doing it, what am i doing wrong? The rat race is killing me..

TravelRe: Thinking Of Relocating Back To Nigeria From Canada by cooooooks(m): 2:38pm On Apr 09, 2023
Nobody will give you any kind of refund. Not in this life.

If you want to come back, I strongly suggest you get your residence or citizenship and then come back.

The point of the study route is to have the money already available for your studies. Or last last, make up money for living expenses during summer or part time.

Bigcoconut:
Hello, guys
I don't want to bore you guys with long epistle. Yes, as the title suggests.

I travelled to Canada through the study route this January but I can tell you for a fact that I'm already bored with this place.

I'm redoing a 2 year program that I have already concluded in Naija but just because I want japa, I redid it. But that's not the issue.

The issue is that I'm working in a company but the department I was posted to was a physical demanding one..

To the extent that if I work for a day, I feel pain all over my body for a week. And this is seriously affecting my education because anytime i go to work, i wouldn't have the energy to do anything again as i would be so weak. but i have to work because i have bills to pay.

Nobody send you for here except you want sleep for cold outside.

Even half of my salary goes in the form of settling bills.

The work makes me depressed. This is not what I bargained for. .

For me to raise money for my tuition fees and travel expenses, at least I wasn't doing bad in Nigeria before i left. In addition, I hardly have time for myself.

My situation is even better, most of people who we came same time haven't found jobs yet.

My thinking is if I should ask for refund of my remaining tuition fee and relocate back Naija, or go back Naija and take some courses online, as there seems to be an option for that.

I wish to see some of the final year projects our engineering/architecture students have come up with.

Perhaps some could be developed further, seeking international funding.

PoliticsRe: Rivers, Kano, Abia… 27 States Attracted Zero Foreign Investments In 2022 by cooooooks(m): 12:14am On Apr 06, 2023

PoliticsRe: Governor Wike Commissions The 11th Flyover In Rivers State by cooooooks(m): 10:26pm On Apr 05, 2023
The entry/exit spaces for all the flyover bridges in Port Harcourt are grossly inadequate.

The only reason that they won't be too fatal is that the average speed in Nigeria is not too high.

raskymonojendor:
Flyover designs have been around for decades all over the world. The design has been repeated over and over again. What you have in Nigeria is bad drivers that never attended any driving school.
PoliticsRe: Governor Wike Commissions The 11th Flyover In Rivers State by cooooooks(m): 7:26pm On Apr 05, 2023
The only bad thing about the flyovers, is that they are not properly designed. As such, they sometimes cause confusion. Also, they are dangerous at the entry/exit points.

Thanks very much. For other people's info: Agents are charging N130k to N230k.

I heard it's like N30k to N40k if you go by yourself.

Africankel:
Someone must go. Either you, or an authorized representative.
TravelRe: Morocco Tourist Visa by cooooooks(m): 2:04pm On Apr 02, 2023
Hello, do you know if the pricr has changed?

An agent called an ungodly amount.

I can't go but can send a representative.
Nchabuomo:
Sure.

I applied in Abuja. The visa processing took 10 working days I think. After applying I paid 30k abi an 35k cash as visa fee which is refundable if the visa is denied.

Documents:
1. Bank Statements
2. Letter of introduction (self written)
3. Payslips
4. Filled Visa Form
5. Passport (old & new)
6. Travel Insurance
7. Accomodation details
8. Flight itinerary
9. NIN slip (I found this very weird as I didn't even initially have one but had to go get it after the people at the embassy insisted that I need to submit one)

You do not need to book an appointment, they offer drop-ins (Submission Monday-Thursday 10:30-1pm)

Got 6 months, multiple entry.

Let me know if you have any other questions

TravelRe: Morocco Visa by cooooooks(op): 1:38pm On Mar 29, 2023
Okay nice.

So visa can be applied for without going to the embassy?

Africankel:
Morocco Visa is fairly easy to get as long as you have the right documents for your travel purpose. Applications are submitted in person or by an authorized representative at the Embassy in Abuja. The beautiful thing is, if your visa is denied, you'll get a refund of your visa fee.
TravelRe: A Nairalander's Short Trip To Marrakesh, Morocco (Photos) by cooooooks(m): 2:59am On Mar 29, 2023
From my Moroccan friend, tourism isn'ttoo profitable....yet.

The government is trying to expand the economy of the country mightily. They want people to be employed in everything. They want to be plugged into the global supply chain, including in tourism and travel.

There is still some slight maltreatment of some Africans (family member experienced this during covid)

Iqtest:
You are absolutely right. 👍, 50-70% of tourists in my hotel were mostly Americans and Europeans.
Morocco is currently one of the biggest tourist destinations in world, the government are really making huge revenues from tourism.
Wish Nigeria government could invest more in tourism like other Africa nations

TravelRe: A Nairalander's Short Trip To Marrakesh, Morocco (Photos) by cooooooks(m): 2:49am On Mar 29, 2023
Nigeria, and someother countries, were wary of Morocco usurping them as the major country.

They are bigger, more developed, etc.

They would suck up a significant portion of the traffic of rich and middle class africans who usually go to Dubai, Turkey, Spain sef.
LordAdam16:
That entire Morocco-ECOWAS fiasco was a geopolitical red herring.

Morocco is always on the lookout for opportunities to court international political capital for its claims in Western Sahara.

Nigeria rebuffed that advance because it'll get us entangled in sh*tty Middle Eastern politics. We have enough problems with Islamists to choose a side. Algeria, Iran, Qatar, and certain pacts in Egypt and the UAE would have made giving Morocco's claims legitimacy a very painful decision for us.

Like Oman, they're the outcasts of the Ummah. Historically, they've pursued unilateral moves because of deep suspicion of other forces in the Levant.

The development in Morocco is mostly to pacify citizens because the Monarchy has very powerful geopolitical foes. It is on that basis that they can't offer Nigeria the same visa privileges they extend to some West African states, lest our Islamists be used by Middle Eastern funders to destabilize Western Sahara and the ruling house's hold on power.

I like the Amazighs tho'. Proud, fascinating, fiercely independent, and politically deft people.
