But mostly it usually occurs and one most times do not luckily escape it yes! according to the scripture in the bible i quoted, it is rendered invalid to the dead. But so long one is alife, infact you will have to face the consequences of the sins another person committed. christians do not believe that death ends it all, and that's a benefit ? Wagwanbrethren: What if she eventually agrees to marry you? Where's the karma there?🤷♂️ This is only a direct consequence of one's action, and not karma.
Karma believes good or bad ALWAYS comes around, right? Why should he be paid bad when he clearly had a good intention? I don't see the karma! Karma does not believe. People believe. Karma has no business with good and bad. It's just a reply to an action. Whether positive or negative, as long as there be a reply, that's karma. If there's no reaction, well that's also karma but then it's called No Karma. Lord Isaac Newton says there's an equal and opposite reaction to every action but this ancestor says it's not necessarily equal or opposite. A reaction is all there'll be for the event to be crowned as KARMA. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Karma, Does It Exist? by correctguy101(m): 9:41am On May 07, 2023 |
Wagwanbrethren: In my opinion, there are many reasons why Karma doesn't exist. The first reason is that Karma is based on the idea that people are rewarded or punished for their good or bad actions in this life or in a previous life. But people are not only good or bad, they are also complex. They can do good things for bad reasons and bad things for good reasons. It's not fair to judge someone's whole life based on one action.
Another reason Karma doesn't exist is that it's based on the idea of a soul. But there is no evidence for souls and there is no proof that they are punished or rewarded after death. Even if there were souls, it's not clear how they could be affected by the actions of people in this life.
Also, Karma is often used as an excuse for bad things that happen. People say "it's Karma" when they don't have a good explanation for why something went wrong. But saying "it's Karma" doesn't solve anything. It doesn't help us understand why bad things happen or how we can make things better.
In conclusion, there are many reasons why Karma doesn't exist. It's based on flawed ideas about people and the world. It's used as an excuse for bad things, and it doesn't solve anything. Someone should raise an argument against this! My brother, many ideas from long ago are being misrepresented with meanings they shouldn't have. Based on your reasons, this ancestor agrees with you and yet finds it hard to accept entirely. I'm that undecided on some matters....lols If you look at life, you'll find that we're mostly reacting to this and that since birth. Since the first elusive action of reality every other thing in existence is just a reaction. Your birth, your actions, your death. Even deadbody dey react to the environment. Many cause lies within these reactions we all take part in, but it's all crazy ideas here and there. Make we Siddon one day drink together and talk bro. So that I'll finally make you lost... Corridon: It doesn't. Evil people keep progressing and succeeding in what they are doing while the righteous ones suffers. No it does. The problem is in the context. It's also a natural law and Sir Newton puts it this. For every action, there's always a reaction, but this ancestor says it's not necessarily opposite to the applied force, that's where context comes in. Evil people as you judge might know more than you do and the application of their said knowledge is why they progress as you judge. Morning |

Christianity Etc › Re: Karma, Does It Exist? by correctguy101(m): 9:26am On May 07, 2023 |
paxonel: According to Merriam-webster, the word "Karma" was first used in 1827 by Buddhists and Hinduists whio described an ethical subjected principle that says "you reap what you sow ". They held that there is a force generated by a person's actions which has ethical consequences to determine the nature of the person's next existence(even up to the person's after-life).
Certainly, going by human natural experiences, this ethical principle called Karma has been proven valid and is responsible for the many fortunes and misfortunes we go through today in our lives. For instance, a man who send his child to school(formally or informally) may end up having the child becoming wealthy and knowledgeable, and the one who refuses to send his child to school may have the child battling poverty in the future and put the blame to some witches and wizards in village.
But what does the bible say about Karma, do Christians believe that this principle still have effect to their after-life even after they die?
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
This also suggest that the old creature died away the day you died, and you are now a new being not having the sins of your past life inputed in you.
Paul says in Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I NOW live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Obviously, according these scriptures if Karma is anything to go by, it ends abruptly the day you die as a Christian, but the effects thereafter lives on even up to generations You used the word MAY. It already renders your example moot as to Karma. And did you just say you'll become a new creature and the former actions are now rendered invalid? In society, depends on the extent of the degradable action else, jail terms await you if you're ever found out. To be candid, any so-called born again should own up and report himself to the necessary authorities and see if the actions of the past creature will affect the new creature... Ah, if you mean when someone dies, it applies to everyone, Christian or not. Death ends it all. Only very few gets recycled with same elements. What does this ancestor even know about your belief systems? Since my disillusionment, I've never bothered to look back. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Eternity Is Greediness. by correctguy101(m): 5:45pm On May 06, 2023 |
Maynman: The Concept of Eternity has long captivated human imagination. The idea of living forever has been explored in Literature, Philosophy, and Religion throughout history. However, as the oldest story of Humanity, "The Epic of Gilgamesh," reveals, the desire for Eternal Life can be seen as a form of Greed.
King Gilgamesh, the protagonist of the Epic, is a powerful and arrogant ruler who is feared and respected by his subjects. However, when his best friend Enkidu dies, Gilgamesh is forced to confront his own mortality. Faced with the prospect of death, he embarks on a quest for Eternal Life. Gilgamesh's journey takes him to the ends of the earth, where he encounters various obstacles and challenges. Eventually, he realizes that his quest for Eternity is futile and that he must accept his own mortality.
The story of Gilgamesh illustrates the danger of greed and the desire for Eternal Life. Gilgamesh's obsession with Immortality blinds him to the beauty of life and the importance of cherishing the time we have. His quest for Eternal Life is ultimately a futile one, and he comes to understand that death is an inevitable part of the human experience.
The desire for Eternal Life can be seen as a form of Greed because it is a desire for more than what is natural and necessary. It is a desire to extend our existence beyond its natural limits and to avoid the inevitability of death. While it is natural to want to extend our lives and to enjoy the things we love for as long as possible, the desire for eternal life can become an obsession that leads to a neglect of our responsibilities and a disregard for others.
Furthermore, the concept of Eternal Life raises important questions about the meaning and purpose of life. If we were to live forever, what would we do with all that time? Would life lose its value if it were never-ending? How would we find meaning and purpose in an existence that never ends? These are challenging questions that require careful consideration. As Robert Heinlein notes, "Millions who yearn for Eternity don't know what to do with themselves Sunday afternoons.”
The desire for Eternal Life is often fueled by a fear of death, but it is important to remember that death is a natural part of life. Instead of obsessing over the desire for eternal life, we should focus on living our lives to the fullest and cherishing the time we have with our families, friends and making the most of the time we have. While the concept of Eternal Life may seem attractive, it is important to recognize the potential downsides of such an existence.
It seems to me that those who desire to live forever have not thoroughly considered the implications of such an existence. How many times can one express gratitude and Praise to a Deity for avoiding damnation/hell before the significance of it all begins to fade? Maynman, my guy. I no dey always like your talk even if you speak my mind sometimes... It's not good for a tree to be overly straight.. Crookedness is good and fair... This I've learnt as I grow older. It's normal for those who possess awareness to want to retain that awareness for as long as they could, especially if it's within their powers.. As for me, I'm aware of my mortality that's why I only care about experiencing as much as I could as long as it depends on me. Make jaiye jaiye no finish me.. . Those church boys go come fire me for this kind of talk later... Matter has always loved Matter. And don't mind Mr. Robert. Saying Sunday Afternoons shows he has a group he's targeting in mind. How about those Ndi Naku Isi Na Ala? Well, I like that you're among those calling people out to the futileness of their pursuit. The JW people will have your head for this. Na their business you wan spoil so. Before I forget, the JW's don invite this ancestor again for their program at Badagry. I have my suspects for the frequent invites. TheBillyonaire: A general purpose intelligence transformer with Large Living Language Models(LLM) are capable of self updates and when integrated to a neuromorphic robot, hosted on a cloud running of quantum server farm and powered by the sun is capable of existence for as long as the hardware survive.
The death of hardwares can be overcomed by using distributed server system of nodes, and will gain sentience as the LLM updates to a level of collective intelligence and sentience of the nodes.
Eternal Life requires so much but existing for a few millions of years is quite possible, connecting the brain-machine interface and constantly updating from quantum cloud LLMs and shifting consciosness between self and the robotic self until the robot build becomes capable of our human level morphology.
Alternative is to master consciousness transfer as our fore-fathers used to do, and go near a maternity ward to transfer consciousness into a brand new body to continue living, but to handle memory transfer is the issue, cos memory is cellular, and transferring cellular memory is easier cloning clones.
Third-option is cloning yourself and using consciousness transfer to move from one body to the next. This is possible today. Brother, I only have heard of consciousness transfer, but even that still eludes us at this stage. Clone Tech is improving by the day, with many willing lab rats looking for what they didn't lose. When people are arguing and quarrelling about transgenders, the research of how to improve our evolution will continue until we get to a stage where our physical follow-come bodies can be abandoned at will, to be replaced with something more durable and long lasting. Yet, I agree with Maynman, ETERNITY is a pipe dream and only greedy and clueless people will spend supposed valuable time pining for that. They're not really any different from thiose who go under the knife just to look like the eediots they thought they could look like..lols Even the long lived suns can die. Humans ehn, their wahala and wants are endless and with no limits. Oftentimes , the price for intelligence is foolishness. If you know, you know. |

lhordspy: There are 3 sides to this.
Firstly, it is either Russia is trying to use a false flag operation, by carrying out a self-sabotage, a pretext to escalate things in Ukraine. Maybe Russia is getting tired of the petty military operation. They want to start levelling the ground already. They needed a tangible reason to do that, and an attempt on Putin life is a very solid reason to escalate things.
Or secondly, Maybe Some sections or groups of the Ukrainian military are feeling fly and stupid, or maybe suicidal; probably inflated and intoxicated by the empty-promises of the west. So they are trying to dare Russia and see what the hell they can do.
Or maybe, The Ukrainian military truly launched the attack. With the confidence that no one is actually going to believe the Russian's part of the story. Afterall their puppeteer, the Un!ted state controls the media. The world only believe what they want us to believe.
Whichever way, one thing is certain: There will be repercussion, there will be consequences. Ukraine is in trouble. You understand things. |
