Yugoslavia247: I don't think this will matter to unemployed person who has stayed home for months jobless.
And in Nigeria if you get a job and ask too much there are 10001 people waiting to take that spot.
For now get the job and think of next step.
Than doing what labour laws have not implemented Fact of life. Little wonder why people still work for 30k /month in today's Nigeria....smh Our system sucks. |

TheBillyonaire: The decision to deactivate my accounts are because I do not want mentions of my username to trigger my return when I do not want to, and secondly, there is egocentric attachment to these names that make people feel there are needed or important, so I kill my ego always and I am learning from this site how to master my emotion even when insulted based on my opinions, which could be wrong anyway.
With regards to the thread, it is okay to kneel for parents because you are literally their Ancestors and they are now your parents and when or if they chose to return back to the blood line, they become your kids or grand kids, so it is okay to even kneel for parents.
But when it comes to kneeling for a fellow human being because he is in position to grant you wishes on the ground of humility, I see it as debasing onself just for financial gains. And I also see that those want you or expect you to kneel down for them are actualling controling the kneelers. Certain Cultures and Tradtions are actually designed to control and these Customs were enacted and any idiology enacted must also have expiry date. If our forefathers used to kneel to be given food, we can feed ourselves now so there is no need to kneel for others. It's really a fine thing to acknowledge that your opinions could be wrong. On the topic again... I still don't understand why I have that feeling even when it's my parents. I just wouldn't be sincere if I ever did that. I've long accepted it that way. I can't kneel to save my life even... My sister says it's too much ego but I tend to ignore anything that will tell me otherwise on that matter. Maybe I'm too set in my ways but I've made peace with my ways for too long. |

TheBillyonaire: You have no reason to kneel down in front of another human being. The system of 'Respect' is common among tribes where free citizens are controlled and cheated on by the controllers.
Check every tribe that kneel or lie down to greet, there is a class divisiveness where the Controller is wealthy and sort of demigods and the controlled have nothing but respect for the controllers.
Even Religions thrive on this same old game. Been ages brother. Welcome back. I went off NL too for a spell but didn't deactivate my account for I did have the feeling that I'll be back, Mr Seun has made an addict out of this daddy... How about not deactivating your account if you feel you need some off time off NL? At least we'll know once you comment on any thread. Glad you're back though... On the topic... I personally even find it difficult to even kneel to my mum and dad plus how strong I believe the emotions of respect I hold for them.. My Pa is recently gone though... And they've come to terms with my kinda person. But they know when I'm sincere. There's no connection between sincerity and kneeling down. And i know me more than anything else... Again , I greet you.. |

piper7: What else do you think they'll start changing now apart from gender? I'm changing my visibility status now. I'm now invisible. You can't see me. Let me recommend one funny yet somewhat scary novel I once had. Search for REPO MAN. In that book, there happens to be a time where man was so advanced medically that virtually any part of the body can be changed and replaced with more advanced Lab produced parts, you just name it. One can even have x-ray vision like Superman. But the catch is, you pay for the parts like your mortgage and if you ever miss any installment, the REPOMEN will come after you to repossess the said part... There was even a lady who has replaced virtually every organ in her body with advanced parts and it took dozens of REPOMEN to take her down.... Imagination is truly like a wild horse with no reins whatsoever. Ah, imagine, just imagine... The book was still stolen by one of my female friends...smh Like I suspect, all these plastic surgeries and transgenders are just pioneers to get to the real destination. We're evolving differently. I only hope the world's consciousness agrees with this direction of evolution, else we'll only end up eliminated and abandoned by it. |

Nazgul: This is where the problem is. Professional therapist are trained like specialist to handle a particular area of your life.
This means that if you're having relationship issues, the therapist who would be assigned to help you out would politely refer you to someone else if after your sessions on relationship, you tell him/her that you're battling with alcohol, drugs, betting..etc. They know their speciality and they stick to it.
But in Nigeria, one pastor would want to tell you how to run your business, manage your family, manage stress at the office, manage your studies as a student, tell you who and who not to get married to, see vision and prophesies for you, keep asking you to sow seeds and make donations for problems he has no solution to...etc. You would end up becoming slaves to them, cos at that point, they'll literally be controlling every area of your life and you would have very little success to boast of.
You're very right when you said they spiritualized everything cos that's exactly what they do. They know that once they tell you that God showed them this or that you would believe them more. The average African is a mental slave to religion. All these gbogbonisé pastors... It's one of he curses we've been trying to purge from our society. . Oftentimes, only we can heal ourselves. The words of others can just be that spark of enlightenment to unlock the healing to fix the ails in our lives. This i know... |

SOLUTION: get a GF so that you wont have to spend all your money on oloshoes for sex. It's okay to think so. One can only but imagine how mannerless her children will be. I really weep for her husband that's if she has any. I give up on her. Nah, do not bring her parents into this.
