You have a combined period of physical residence in the U.S. of at least 15 years before your retirement; and
You filed a petition for special immigrant status (Form I-360) no later than 6 months after your retirement.

...a surviving spouse of a deceased officer or employee of such an international organization

Hello, please anyone travelling this month or early next month to the US, to help me send books to my sister, I don't mind paying for the luggage. Thank you.
This question raises lots of red flags!
Anyone that can afford to pay a traveler for helping to carry luggage should be able to pay for courier service, at least NIPOST courier service. Equally, just saying going to US is so vague, the book would still be posted in US anyway.

Accepting to carry anything from a stranger is the easiest way a traveler can land himself in a foreign country's jail.

Good evening everyone, I have never traveled out but praying visa is granted this year. I have gained Alot reading questions and answers on this thread, nevertheless, I have some questions:
1. The plan is to move and stay with my uncle, study and work for number of years I can't say. what is the maximum number of days/months/year one can be granted at POE?

2. when asked reason for moving to USA, is it ideal to say to work, study and stay, when I actually don't have work permit or license or admission into any of the school. (although am doing my PG studies here already)?
3. my passport is expected to be renewed in the next five years, if by the time of renewal, I am still abroad, what may nearly happen to me?

4. About the application for the visa, I know nothing, my uncle just asked for my name, age and passport. what could be the type of visa is applying for on my behalf?

I am really a novice in travelling and I kindly need your help in getting myself prepared for questions during interviews when called.
wink wink Indeed your post (or questions) truly confirmed you're a novice concerning traveling. Like the creator of this thread always say, come back here to ask question when you have your visa.

He is actually. To clear all doubts he can ask the Vo @ abujaniv's thread
One of the questions he'll be asked when booking for appointment is "if his visa has been cancelled or revoked before" and once he answers "yes" to this question, then the system won't take him to the page where he would be able too print the dropbox eligibility letter. No harm in asking AbujaNIV.

Hello everyone, I'm asking this question on behalf of my younger brother in yankee. He got a 2 years US visa in April this year, then travelled in middle of May, on his arrival at the POE, he was told he can only stay in the US until 1st of June 2017 (2wks stay). But, today is 8th of July and he's still in the US. But he plans on leaving by next month to come back to Nigeria. So, we're just scared of what might happen if he wants to return probably by next year. Will it be possible for him to also apply for a visa for his wife & kids? We need advice's please. What's his fate on coming back next year? What will happen to the current 2 years visa?

Abeg, make ona no fry us too much with yabbing o! Just go straight to the point on your advice please, Lol. Thanks in advance!
He is no longer a trusted traveler, his credibility is now at stake.

LONG POST ALERT

Hello guys great work here time to share my experience.

left 9ja through abv to Fra on the 3rd of July with lufthansa airline the expression with them was great.

got to fra spent like 4hrs 30mins there before we took the next flight (thats from frankfurt to Dallas dfw) the flight was looooooooonng mehn but twas great the food the drinks asin twas kiss. (by the way frankfurt airport is REALLY BIIIGGG)

so finally we landed dfw at exactly 2.05pm dallas time
our flight was the only one that landed at that time
so went straight to scan my pp for self service koisk and my slip came out with circle on it.

went to show it to the guy checking it and he said I'm free to go collect my bags. I was quite suprise cause twas just going smoothly.

so I finally collected my bags o and went straight to MEET C.B.P officer it got to my turn and I didn't spendo up to 50sec with him. here is it

C.B.P.what are you here for
ME.for vacation and to have my baby

C.B.P did you bring food stuff
ME.yes and started naming them cause I declared what I brought and he just said don't bother after naming the 3rd item

C.B.P. what my final destination
ME.told him elpaso

and he stamped my pp till Jan 2018 with b2 circled on it.

and that was it off I went to take my connecting flight to my final destination with south West air line.

my experience at dfw was really nice and fast I thank everyone for sharing thier experience cause nothing was asked or checked.

so that's my own personal first hand experience right there.

Hi, there is nothing wrong with you travelling a few weeks to resumption as long as its after your earliest date of arrival, however you might be asked two important questions, why you are arriving so early and why you are arriving in Houston and not california, if you're able to explain well that you are meeting your sponsor to make arrangements for school fees payment, insurance and all that before connecting to california you should be fine. goodluck.
p.s it might also help if you have a ticket for the 2nd leg of your journey from houston to california.
No no!

He/she doesn't have to be in US to make arrangements for payment of tuition fees.

This is definitely a red flag.

It still stands as above $10,000 which they have to declare if they wish to split it since they are traveling together.
Save yourself the declaration and hold the $9k and use your cards if need be.
The $10,000 is per person (adult presumably).

My school only requires I pay my fees after my visa is approved, but before arriving at the school. I have only previously paid for the application. Don't know why you say it makes no sense.

What makes no sense to me is waiting till last minute to rush everything without even having seen the person who has promised to sponsor me face to face. It's only respectful I humbly see her than just make demands from a distance.
In case you're yet to travel it's safer to get your sister (or whoever is sponsoring you) to pay at least a substantial amount as deposit before your arrival, so as to demonstrate her financial ability to sponsor you. Let me be frank and hard, if I were you I won't go if she refuses to pay some money as deposit to your school else you'll arrive and another story would start. I can bet on this. Foreign students' tuition is not a joke!

However, if you're already in US kindly update the house if not done already.

Remain blessed.

You can re apply for a visa and come out clean in your DS 160 form.

You can also go the dropbox route though you'll most likely be called for an interview, come out clean and say the TRUTH as to what transpired.

Though i doubt your story as to why you were turned back... goodluck
With the cancelation of his visa, he is no longer qualified to use dropbox.

It is perfectly legal to give birth in the US you however have to make your intentions known at the point of interview.

So my question is were you pregnant during your interview or not?

If you got pregnant way after the visa was issued, then delay your journey till you are about 34-36 weeks gone, get a doctor and hospital in the state you're visiting to accept you for childbirth if possible pay the fee in advance and travel.

At the POE when asked let them know you are their for childbirth and present all doctor's / hospital's correspondence. You should have no issue whatsoever. Also go thru the 'giving birth in US thread' and you will be better informed. start reading from part 1 to atleast part 3.

If however you LIED/MISREPRESENTED in your interview... OYO is your case.

NB: forget the 2 weeks vacation for a 7 months preg lady. Even me wey no be VO will doubt your story because why will a 7months pregnant lady fly over 23hrs for a vacation and fly back in 2 weeks? That is stress

I forgot to add. I sat with a racist on the plane to Texas. Lol!
From the moment he saw i was to sit by him. I saw his countenance and immediately knew he was a racist. As we were in the air..he started complaining that I was using my body to touch him. I adjusted abit....and ignored him. As God will have it, he dozed off and used his orange head to hit my shoulders, Omo if u see as i flare up, hey bro, u sit up ok and never hit me with your head again(forming ascent). The way i talked with my voice raised, everyone close looked at our direction. The flight attendant nearby came to ask what was wrong, i told her, tell this guy here to put his head straight up and not hit me again cos he complained a couple of mins ago my body was touching him while im just sitting like everyone else ( i was forming ascent) cheesy. I stood up immediately to the rest room, everyone around immediately knew what was going on, one particular white guy, winked and smiled at me. U need to see the face of the racist...it was red with anger....the guy nor fit sleep again.

Has Sultan of Sokoto or Emir of Kano said anything that doesn't favour the North? The North mostly comprises of Muslims and they know if government does that, it's to their favours. Didn't ex CAN president say nasty things during his reign. Perhaps Muslims should have concluded they were trying to Christinize Nigeria.

Wasn't CAN president in the know about the weapons GEJ tried buying from SA? Won't you hypocrites have shouted if it was a Sultan or Emir or something.

You should start using your brains. It's damn free
I am yet to see the evidence that you've started using yours.

Let pretend what Sultan said is true? Does that mean Nigeria is gonna be lislamized? Didn't the former CAN president said worse things, did Muslims shout Nigeria is gonna be Christianized? You guys need to start using your God given brains. Wasn't this curriculum of a thing initiated during GEJs era? Why didn't you shout then, why now? Why aren't you calling GEJ names? He is a Christian so he is exonerated.
I am sure someone living in self denial is definitely not using his God given brain. It's the same thing for someone that has problem in saying the truth or is deceitful. That's the worst person on earth, a deceitful being.

When the Islamic head in the country says they want government to use public resources to propagate Islam to non-Muslims in a non-combative manner, yet you don't see islamisation in that, then you're very deceitful.

In as much as I don't like dabbling into issues generated by imported religions, I couldn't resist myself from commenting on this.

Last weekend, the above news was reported in virtually all the nation's major newspapers and to date it has not been refuted.

I repost some extracts here.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Abubakar, has given details how religious leaders pushed the Goodluck Jonathan administration to change the status of Christian and Islamic subjects in school curriculum.

The two subjects, previously optional, are now core for students of respective faiths.

The government denies the allegation, saying it merely made Christian Religious Knowledge and Islamic Religious Knowledge compulsory for Christian and Muslim students respectively.

Speaking Friday at a National Symposium and Lauching of 2025 Vision by Da’awah Coordination Council of Nigeria, Mr. Abubakar, who is the head of the Nigerian Muslim community, urged the council to propagate Islam to non-Muslims in a non-combative manner.

“Tell people what Islam is; tell them why they should be Muslims and what difference it could make to their lives,” he said.

It is obvious that all Muslims denying the "Islamisation Agenda" are being deceitful because the intention is clearly stated in the Sultan's reported speech (which hasn't been refuted). Why does the muslims want to use public resources to propagate Islam to non-Muslims in a non-combative manner? When you're deceitful, how do you want me to trust you with your religious message and religion? If I want my child to know about a religion then I will sent him/her to a faith based school.

This particular policy is sinister and will not see the light of the day.

Please educate me on the right answer to this question "Are you applying in the same country or location where the visa above was issued, and is this country or location your place of principal residence?".

My last F1 visa was issued in Abuja, Nigeria and I intend applying through Lagos, Nigeria. In view the fact that the city of application is changing, do I answer "No" to the question?

From your previous posts, I should be able to use the dropbox privilege despite the change.
