Family › Re: Love Is not always sweet .. 7 years marriage experience by CountVersailles(f): 9:11pm On Jul 17, 2021 |
Rhodaogunpeju: I decided to write this because I have come to realize that Love can get boring.. . I remember when I met my husband , he was such a Nice and handsome Man. I mean I already decided if he ask me out I will say yes from the first day I met him but I still made him beg and purse me for a whole year before finally accepting to date him ..
6 months after our relationship we got married. and our marriage was bliss , I married a friend , we have our downs and quarell but we always make up before we sleep because of the fact that we made it compulsory that we must have a family prayer Every night , we usually settle most of our fights during these prayers ..
But sometimes marriages can get boring , you have gisted all the entire gist ,talk about everything talkable till there is actually nothing to talk about,. Then the husband starts drifting away .maybe he's got a new friend or found a new love ...sometime this new love might not be a person ,For instance my husband new love is politics..He's always working and when he's home he is either watching the News on Tv and even when he tries to talk to me he will be like "Baby can you believe what kai muhammad said again"..
And I'm just sitting like who and what is my concern with lai muhammad?... Yet he doesn't see my reaction,he just continues to talk untill we fall asleep.i listen to him because I have to he is my husband.
The love flame was slowly wearing our ,I mean he no longer wants me to wait for him before I eat. .. if I call him to inquire when he is coming back home , he replies with "I don't know but eat o.. don't wait for me "...
How about the sex life ... What use to be mind blowing sex is now just average .just because he's had too much if it ..I could also say the same about me..I mean before seeing my husband in boxers turns me on but now even if he's naked it doesn't seem to move me Hmmm but regardless I still love my husband. .I have sat him down many times and talked about spicing things up but you know Men... Anyways the moral of my story is that when you marry ..marry someone that even when he/she changes you would still love them because trust me they will.... . Honestly, from all you have written, I think you have a problem. A problem of thinking that you can live in la-la land forever, a problem of thinking you can be a child forever. You really should grow up. Every good thing becomes boring eventually. It is up to you to find your own personal joy. Your husband now likes politics, but what do you like? What have you become passionate about that you also talk to it about your husband, even if he doesn't care to listen? You should grow up and stop being a child. That love (or anything else for that matter) wears out is only a matter of course. It is nothing surprising. |

zoeA: These attitude towards celebrating occasions has dragged the black man backwards. They say an African loves to dance... whether in marriage, death or birth...we just love to dance... imagine if Obi Cubana and his cohorts as rich as they claim to could pull their resources creatively towards the development of their immediate environs that untarred road I saw in Obi Cubana's village no for dey... It's almost a crime celebrating lavishly in the midst of poverty... Roast me please You couldn't have said it any better |

RussellRutherfo: I love Sound Sultan.
My only pain is if he accepted Jesus Christ before he died.
I am just hoping he didn't die as a Muslim (One who subscribes to the false teaching of the 7th century illiterate Arab MuhamMad who slept with a doll playing 9year girl child called Ayesha and bore False Witness against Jesus Christ like Rutherford and Russell).
Such a lovely man. He would be missed. Craze don start. Na small before you enter street |

Cabble4: You will take back all this in a few moments to come,Trust Me. Saul turned Paul did worse than you. But, he was the one who suffered the most for the gospel he fought against. Don't act all wise when you can't see or determine or have control of what will happen to you in just a moment ahead. Have you actually thought for a moment that the white people who introduced you to this same Bible have stopped following it a long time ago? Are you aware England is much less Christian than it was years ago when they sent ships down to the south of Nigeria to evangelize? |

enthronedbyGod1: TB Joshua died and was highly honoured by the world and Christians at large. SCOAN held a week long programme to mark his death. He was eulogized by the high and mighty to the extent even Israelites had delegates attending his burial.
I promised myself not to say anything about him again either good or bad , but something was stirred up in my spirit last night as I had communion with the Holy Spirit and this led me to open this thread.
I read threads how a lot of people( prophets inclusive both false and real eulogized him and it got me thinking so much ).
After I went through his burial pictures last night , I went into deep thoughts. I was thinking and praying in the Spirit non stop , when the Holy Spirit started ministering to me and we had a lovely communion and I want to share some of the things I got from that.
You might not like the things I say here, but your opinion on this wouldn't really matter cos God gave me a scripture as my motto when He called me ( Let God be true and every man a liar) . This has been my guiding scripture all my years as a Christian. wake up from you sleep. There's no such thing as a book of life. Stop following the whiteman's religion. Your ancestors did better. They had their own gods. No carry white man Jesus for head. |

AnotherAlien: I've heard of stories of people planning to relocate to foreign countries and end up getting abandoned by the friends and family members they relied on, right there at the airport. So, how do you expect to know the system anywhere when you don't know anyone to show you the ropes?
Like someone said in the earlier posts, information is key. Lack of information is what makes a lot of Nigerians make hasty decisions. Let me tell you a story. My brother left school and job prospects in Nigeria and went abroad. He had a student visa, some dollars and was expecting a relation to pick him up at the airport. That was about it. When he got to the airport in Houston, no one was there waiting to pick him up. In fact, the relation called him and told him to start heading back, that he has no interest in having him around. He had nowhere to sleep. Hustle started. He had to go to the branch of our Nigerian church in Houston to beg to sleep. They pitied him and accommodated him, and allowed him to live on the chairs of the church for a week until he got a restaurant job. He contemplated coming back home and in fact bought a ticket, took a taxi to the airport, but changed his mind at the last minute. Resolving to stay back, he intensified his "hustle", working in restaurants where they treated him like shit and started going back to school. Five years later, he is now employed in two places, making north of $120k as a software developer. Planning to start his own company and offer jobs to his developer friends he left back in Lagos, many of whom are still struggling to find a good job. In fact, some of them are now working for him (online). He got his green card legally, and planning to marry soon. What am I saying? Most Nigerians give up easily when they go abroad. Abroad is not a bed of roses. You have to work, have to show a strong desire to succeed. Nothing is going to be handed to you on a platter. For many Nigerians who have had it easy before travelling out, this is often difficult to understand. They find that they can't cheat the system. No lecturer will collect money from you to bump your score. You suddenly can't enter a bus without paying by lying to the conductor that you lost your money. Those tricks with which you survived in Nigeria no longer work. You have to learn new tricks. This is the part where many people fail and is probably the only lesson here. Whether you are in Nigeria or abroad, you have to show a desire to succeed given your environment. IF this desire is not there, failure awaits! |

One of the problems with Nigerians is not willing to take on challenges. Nothing can be more challenging than moving into a new environment. If you can't adapt, you get eaten up. |

descarado: Bill are inevitable in Nigeria too. The only diff is that Nigerians cut corners. Both rich and poor.
It's hard to cut corners abroad.
Bills are higher in Nigeria actually when you do the math. Good point. Most Nigerians even dupe the country's power generating company by bypassing light and shit, making them pay less bills. You can't do that abroad. |
