First time posting on this thread. IRCC is toying with Nigerians. This study permit that takes months to process in Nigeria, took me 20 days.

Applied on the 20th of July and got ppr on the 11th of August. Just normal application.

Also, the list of documents they make people provide is absolutely ridiculous. ( I don’t know if they are the ones who actually request for most of them sha o, cos me no know wetin land document and personal assets dey do inside visa application. What the hell do they need ones birth certificate, Waec result, Nysc certificate and all the gbogboe for?)

When I submitted my application, I gave them just what they requested. I didn’t even have a letter of intent. I only sent a letter of intent via web form after I kept seeing people posting about it in online forums. The LOI never got uploaded to my profile.

Abeg IRCC, is just Orishirishi! Also, is it possible we are overdoing it with the excessive provision of supporting documents?

P.S I didn’t need a medical exam, and I already had my biometrics from a previous TRV application.

No mind Nigerians. Na Nigerians start all this land documents and stuff. Them no request am, them no need am. Some people even do the bare minimum and still get the visa. We go overboard sometimes because we fear rejection. And other times, somebody will come with some unverified news and then everybody will follow follow. In a country where if you take the wrong step, they can axe you immediately (Go back home and bring your certificate!), you can expect things like this to keep happening.

Don't let anyone tell you something is impossible. If you will enjoy and can be creative with your fashion designing, by all means you should do it. You could become the first person to set a trend that many will love. The most important thing is that you derive satisfaction from even the small wins. From my side, I would say you should definitely give it a go. The Nigerian community in Canada is growing at such an accelerated rate that even CAD is becoming expensive now. In 10 years, all things Nigerian will be in greater demand. I wouldn't be in the least surprised if this includes Nigerian fashion. There never used to be many African stores by Nigerian. But these days, with the continuing influx of Nigerians, African stores by Nigerians are popping up left, right and center. Who knows what Nigerian thing will be in demand in a few years. So, please do it!

My cousin was denied two months ago after paying full tuition and showing bank statement of about 14million for a one year PGC program who does that? Their reasons: no home ties, he will not leave after study. After paying close to 7million in tuition. Em no get home ties na em pay that amount, na from tree dey money take come out. He actually submitted landed property, his father was the sponsor, no study gap, 24years of age. So tell me what the problem was?.

Luckily, he decided to go to the UK and it took them less than 2 weeks to issue him visa for an m.sc program. He only paid about 2million for tuition deposit.

I will advise if you are young, say 21-26 and your target is Canadian PR please try UK tier 4 visa it is easier to get and faster too, after you program you get 2 years PGWP. After working for two years by then you would have recovered your tuition, you can then apply for Canadian PR via EE.
