Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Should I Go For M.Sc Or A Level 12 Job In A Private University? by CountVersailles(f): 1:53pm On Sep 16, 2021*. Modified: 2:37pm On Sep 16, 2021 |
Iamjobless: Will be very brief and I pray this reaches the front page. I graduated in the year 2019 from one of the foremost Universities in Nigeria, did my NYSC but after that I have been applying for job all to no avail.
During my job search, I applied for a job in a private University in February, after much delay, we did Examination in June and interview in July, I was picked as I have seen my name on the list of successful canadidate. The job is very OK and working environment superb and with a moderate salary and virtually no stress But the thing, I have strong passion for my course, I have even applied for M. SC(1 year) in another University just to gain more knowledge, already have thesis topic and everything that I will need all through, I have already initiated how to japa through study abroad once I finish my course, now I am scared, like really scared because if the plan doesn't work out, then I will be losing a very good opportunity.
Note : I can't study my M. SC in that university because they do not have the department and equipments I'll just let you know that, the way I see it, you are probably smarter than 90% of those who will type on this thread, supposedly giving you "advice". Ask yourself why you should be taking advice from some of these people you are possibly much smarter than. Ask yourself that question before deciding if you should go with any crowdsourced advice here. |

A metaphor for where the country finds itself. At the rate of 550 dollars to a naira and with the economy hopping on one leg, or justices getting bribed to deliver corrupt rulings, a stick is actually what is supporting the country. |

Things like this just make me wish I wasn't Nigerian sometimes. We are too stupid a people. Just too stupid. God! How did we ever get to the stage where people think like this? I'm guessing it's the years of bad education and intense dose of religion. Just stupid! |

Temyay: Hi ,Please when is the best time to get married and add spouse after AOR. Do I need to wait for my MEP and BIL? Or anytime after AOR is fine.
This is so encouraging. My best friend I grew, studied with and worked with, who we always talked of leaving for Canada just left. That's when it hit me I must stop procrastinating. Hopefully this month I and my wife start the WES process. I have a good job with an iNGO, with the the whole UK government cuts to foreign aid I'll be out of work soon. My wife however works with a very good government agency and we don't know how she will leave that job yet honestly. We'll just apply for the WES and see what happens after. Icing on the cake for me would be having my children in Canada. Most people always "wake up" when someone close to them gets express entry |

ednut1: how many members of mopol or sars are interested in express entry or qualify. Not much guity by association. Some mopols basically served as houseboy or driver and may not have done any criminal acts. Some are. I think I've seen a few posts on earlier express entry threads. |

https://www.nairaland.com/6750846/canadian-court-describes-nigerian-police#105774006n April, another Canadian judge, Sébastien Grammond, also denied asylum to Olushola Popoola, a former member of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) on the grounds of his association with the police unit.
Popoola had also requested for a judicial review of the decision of the immigration department which found him inadmissible into the country on the grounds of his membership of the Nigeria Police Force.
“I am dismissing his application because the decision-maker reasonably assessed the relevant factors for deciding whether Mr Popoola made a knowing and significant contribution to the crimes committed by the Nigerian Police Force,” Grammond ruled. Looks like it might get more difficult for members of the Nigerian forces to get express entry or any other forms of Canadian immigration benefits |

When I asked him what he really wanted, he said "I dont want a relationship, I like you and just want you around".. To me,its selfish and seems like torture to my emotions going with the facts that I'm beginning to have catch feelings.. I'm so confused now, what do I do?? I'm planning of stopping communications and erasing all memory of him... Why is it always all or nothing for you girls? Can't you just be friends and try leave feelings out of it? He wants to be friends. Then be friends. Don't let feelings take over. Guard your feelings, stay friends. It's that simple! |

dirtydiva: The only solution is for all of us to come out clean and tell ourselves the bitter truth, all ds dollars importers are demanding for are dey using it as dem request or are they stockpiling them? Thats the question we have to ask ourselves.
Imagine CBN releasing forex from our forex reserve dat is going down heavily only to end up in foreign accts of some Nigerians who are speculators because dey want to cash out big The market demands that people like this will always exist. It's the job of the government to deploy economic policies that will punish such people. Any draconian law that doesn't solve the root problem, but instead attempts to impede speculators, will only make things worse. With sound economic policies designed to punish speculators, nobody will tell them before they convert their dollars back to naira. |

Doree: I'm still making my arrangements and will fill the ArriveCan when the time is right. Thank you.
That being said, can the newly arrived travellers who have an experience with the requirements throw light on my question please? Typically, you are not supposed to share any facilities during your quarantine period. You should be completely by yourself. In fact, last I heard, you are only entitled to maybe 15 mins or so outside your room each day. |

Doree: Good day all.
Please, for newly arrived travellers, will a quarantine plan for a shared bathroom/toilet though an entire room to myself be accepted? One other person uses the other room, although he is fully vaccinated and is not a vulnerable person. These are questions you must have been required to answer when you filled your details in the ArriveCAN app. That'll tell you if it's acceptable or not. |

Rossinkipp: Why haven't they kidnapped the 99.99999% of Nigerians making their cool bread, while you lament?
What 'bad policy' of Buhari stops you from being a creative, innovative business person?
This idea of tying your life prospects to one man amounts to making him far more powerful than he actually is. Stupidity dey worry you. Either you are misinformed or you are just plain stupid, if you quote 99.9999%. Where did you get that statistic? If you thought the business environment were friendly in this country, then you are clearly misinformed. There is a very good reason the country does not attract quality foreign investment. E get reason why. |

Rossinkipp: Yes... things are hard, and Buhari, as president, will naturally attract some opprobrium.
But most of us are not helping ourselves, and refuse to be creative and innovative in our approach to making money, especially the 70% of us that are into business activities of various kinds. You are very stupid. What happened to Risevest, Chaka, and Bamboo that were creative? Or to Gokada that was creative? Do you really think this government wants the average Nigerian businessman to succeed? A government that doesn't even know what it's doing. |
