I understand why someone would be uncomfortable, but it's not wrong. And no one should feel they need to stop being friendly in the community because their friend feels uncomfortable. It's great to have people like that around who really care about people. |
reddingtonblack:Let's say you want some yam and eggs. Put the yam to boil. Then prep all the stuff you want to put in your eggs. Eggs won't take long, so as the yam approaches being done, you start your eggs. They should both be done at the same time and not over/under cooked. You can do the same with veggie, chicken, fish, or wara soya. If the protein will take longer, sort out the difference and start the longer one first, e.g. goat meat. One trick you could use for maybe rice or something else is to have a tin (inner pot) or silicone bag (submerged in water) in one side. Then you just pull it out so you don't overcook the rice or whatever. You can also use a thermal container to keep the finished stuff hot while the other finishes. It's really not hard, and I think it's worth the effort just to save on time. Also, clean up is faster. |
lanre4411:Even if that's true (and it's not). Are people supposed to run from something because "poor" people use it? Don't be ridiculous. |
This is wild. I hope he makes a full recovery. |
reddingtonblack:All you have to do is adjust when you start one and how. It's not that hard. And if that adjustment saves you money and makes dinner faster, why not? |
I'm going to get 2 of these: a deep skillet with one divider, and a fryer divided into multiple spaces. It's good for when you want to make a little stew or something and some rice/veg. The multiple compartments is good when you want to make a bunch of little things for breakfast. It's actually a really good idea for making breakfast for like 1 or 2 people.

Good idea, but it should be wider, and it doesn't look like it truly separates the food. Here's another version that does:

Osimhen is definitely talented. But f*** Italy. |

Put her in different activities, so she can make friends: dance class, sports, Nigerian Girl Guides. You can also do some church organized activities or events. That's a good way for her to make friends. And no offense, but if she really is underweight, you better teach her how to fight. Right now, it's not an issue, but these little kids can be nasty creatures when they get older. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdgMFTD2x8M |
It's definitely wise to consider studying abroad where you'll be paid to do it. Furthermore, there will probably be a good paying job waiting for you in UK/US/CA. Let us know what you decide to do. |
This is unnecessary. Like, what's the point? |

I think people are judging him too harshly. Sometimes people reach a crossroads or they have a powerful experience, and they choose a different life. And people are also assuming that his previous life was really him. It could have been a phase motivated by any number of things. Maybe he simply grew up. |
Congrats. |
How do we know those people are actually missionaries? And unfortunately, every missionary isn't out there doing good things. |
Yeah, I'll be watching. |
Tips on how to save (and eat well): 1. Cook. 2. Buy in bulk. 3. Shop around. 4. Haggle. 5. Try different recipes. 6. Find sales/deals. 7. Buy online. 8. Buy direct from farms. 9. Buy stuff that will go bad soon, and either freeze it or cook and eat it that day. 10. You can grow substantial food in a pot or sack. 11. Maybe do extreme bulk buys where you and a bunch of people pool your money for a huge (business size) buy. 12. Buy more fresh produce than packaged food. |
Good thread. |

That's wrong and illegal. This could cost someone job/business opportunities. |

It's (probably) psychological. And totally treatable. https://www.webmd.com/urinary-incontinence-oab/sling-surgery-incontinence Yes, treatments can help. The most common one is a form of cognitive behavior therapy known as graduated exposure. You’ll be slowly re-introduced to the fearful situation. That helps lower your brain’s anxiety response. You might see a major improvement after just 8-12 sessions with a trained behavioral therapist or even a friend or family member. The International Paruresis Association offers tips that can help. You have other options too, and trying more than one boosts your odds of getting better. Among them are hypnotherapy and self-catheterization, after a urologist or other medical professional teaches you what to do. Talk to your doctor before you try any type of treatment just to be sure nothing’s wrong with your urinary system. Go to the International Paruresis Association YouTube channel. There's therapy videos that can help you. You'll be alright, my guy. |
