NYSCFlood: No Passing-out Ceremony In Bayelsa – NYSC by CrazyMan(mod): 6:17pm On Oct 17, 2012
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Bayelsa will not conduct a passing-out ceremony for 2011 Batch ‘C’ corps members because of the flood disaster in the state, an official said.

The NYSC Public Relations Officer in Bayelsa, Mr Pius Iyamah, made the information  known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Yenagoa on Wednesday.

Iyamah said, ``the passing-out which is scheduled to hold on Oct.18, 2012 without the usual ceremony.

``We will assemble them at the secretariat and call out their names to receive their certificates due to the situation in the state occasioned by the flood disaster. ”

Iyamah disclosed that the ongoing distribution of relief materials to flood victims had compelled the NYSC to shelve the ceremony.

The Yenagoa City Hall normally used for the passing out ceremony by the NYSC has been turned to a storage centre for relief materials, he said.

NAN reports that the flood has also affected social and economic activities in Yenagoa, as almost every available space has been taken over by flood victims.

The victims are currently camped at the Indoor halls of Samson Siasia Sports Stadium, Bishop Dimeri Grammar School, and the premises of Community Primary School in Ovom, among others. (NAN)

AM NOT SURE THE GUY HITTING PLANK ON THEIR HEADS IS AMONG THESE ONES, BUT I THINK THE CHELSEA GUY LOOKS MORE LIKE HIM. THE LADY AMONG THEM SEEMS TO BE THAT VIDEO RECORDER.
Apart from the lady, (who was in pink during the execution,) all those arrested played very little roles in that barbaric killing.

The main killers are yet to be apprehended.
PoliticsEx-N'Delta militants Donate N52.7m To Flood Victims by CrazyMan(op): 3:31am On Oct 17, 2012
Ex-Niger Delta militants undergoing reintegration have donated N52.7m to flood victims in the region.

A statement from the Head of Media and Communications of the Presidential Amnesty Office, Mr. Daniel Alabrah, quoted the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, as saying the money was donated by 26,358 beneficiaries of the Phase I and II of the amnesty programme.

According to Kuku, the ex-militants agreed to contribute N2,000 each from the October allowances to raise the N52.7m to those seriously affected by the flooding disaster.

Alabrah said the members of staff of the Amnesty Office also donated between 20 to 30 per cent of their October salaries to flood victims in Bayelsa, Cross Rivers, Delta, Edo and Rivers states.

He said an 18-man relief committee of volunteers from the Amnesty Office headed by the Technical Assistant on Reintegration, Mr. Larry Pepple, had been constituted.

According to Alabrah, the committee has the responsibility of procuring relief materials and liaising with the various state governments to distribute them to the beneficiaries.

Christianity EtcRe: Possibility Of Satan Repenting And Returning Back To Heaven by CrazyMan(m): 6:42am On Oct 16, 2012
xyoung: Jus curious if satan decide to repent 2day and God forgives him, will the evil things end since satan is in charge of all the evil spirits.
In brief, God refers to human beings as the "elect" which means out of all God's creation (including angels, archangels, and animals) humans are the only ones that are given the opportunity to get saved (ie. forgiven).

God is love, but God is also holy. God gave angels and human beings the power of choice, (ie "freewill"wink but from what I understand from God's Word (the Bible), because mankind is the "elect" and since mankind also has the power of choice, mankind could choice sin (disobedience to God) but God they would still have the opportunity (before they die physically) to be saved.

Angels, especially Satan do not have that chance to be forgiven once they use their power of choice to turn their back on God (sin). God is also all-knowing (knowing the future from the beginning etc) and He knew Satan would rebel because Satan doesn't want to be inferior to God (even though He will always be because as a created being, you can not be superior to the One who created you, even though mankind still tries to be superior to God). Satan wants to be God and since God is the only God, God knew that to forgive Satan would be meaningless in my opinion because He already knews that Satan lives to try to owerthrow God's authority and take God's place as supreme being.

Again, this is not specifically stated in the Bible, so don't take my word for it. But God did give us a mind, and gave us reason and as long as our reasoning doesn't contradict clear passages in His Word then its ok. But if I have contradicted some CLEAR biblical passages in my conclusion then please inform and I will gladly go back to the scriptures and correct it if necessary. I'm not the final authority, God and His Word, the Bible are!

xyoung: Secondly in the book of Job, satan always return to heaven whenever the sons of God were counted..Note lucifer have been casted down to heaven before the world was created so does it mean that Satan can enter Heaven anytime to raport with God
Some1 should throw more light
Yes satan still has access to heaven. But it appears not freely, he must be summoned, meaning that the visits are temporary, therefore his time before God's throne is limited.

Regardless, he accuses us so often that he stands before God and accuses us "day and night."

The Bible does not specifically condemn gambling, betting, or the lottery. The Bible does warn us, however, to stay away from the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10; Hebrews 13:5). Scripture also encourages us to stay away from attempts to “get rich quick” (Proverbs 13:11; 23:5; Ecclesiastes 5:10). Gambling most definitely is focused on the love of money and undeniably tempts people with the promise of quick and easy riches.

What is wrong with gambling? Gambling is a difficult issue because if it is done in moderation and only on occasion, it is a waste of money, but it is not necessarily evil. People waste money on all sorts of activities. Gambling is no more or less of a waste of money than seeing a movie (in many cases), eating an unnecessarily expensive meal, or purchasing a worthless item. At the same time, the fact that money is wasted on other things does not justify gambling. Money should not be wasted. Excess money should be saved for future needs or given to the Lord's work, not gambled away.

First Timothy 6:10 tells us, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” Hebrews 13:5 declares, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, ‘Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’” Matthew 6:24 proclaims, “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”
