You wanna change the world, you gotta change yourselves first. You cure yourselves first. You have not even begin to do that. You think by carrying bible all about gives you the qualification to change the world? It doesn't. Christians have been in this world for about 2 millenia and the world is still sinking in chaos. Have you ever asked yourself why?

You don't have to beg a spirit for anything because everything you wish for is in existence. It is up to you to recognize and seize such opportunities. God doesn't need your money...tithing is simply a means God devised to test the giving capacity of his children.

Most pastors make it sound as if God would appear to count the money himself simply because their main motive is to use it to enrich themselves.

Read Malachai 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe," says the LORD Almighty.

God wants to know how generous christians are...if they indeed worth his blessings.

A child who keeps demanding from is father with no hope of appreciating him even once would have his goodies cut short by the disappointed father.

Same is the case with God...like is stated earlier, he doesn't need you money. All he wants is an appreciation from you. If all you do is to ask ask and ask, and you can't even contribute a penny in his house, why should he bless you?

Once you prove to him that your willing to give all you have to him, you would provoke him to even bless you much more.

Look at the case of Abraham and Isaac...God's intention wasn't foe Abraham to murder his son, but to see how far Abraham would go to obey his voice. And Abraham was blessed after he proved to God that he was willing to obey him no matter the cost.

Would be nice if Christianity is only a religion of peace. But,also a religion of fear and judgment. Judging someone is as bad as killing them.You consider yourself better than me because you are a christian. That ain't right,don't you think?

I don't consider myself better than you simply because I'm a christian. My bible tells me that while we were yet sinners, christ died for us.

Therefore I'm not better than you...so please don't look at it that way.

About the issue of tithing, I believe we ought to give God a thank you gift for his love and kindness towards us.

Look at it this way, suppose you link me up with a contract, and I execute it and disappear with all the money without even calling to give you a thank you amount, how would you feel?

Whether or not tithing was discussed in the bible, we don't have to wait for God to beg us before we appreciate his kindness in our lives.

No we don't have the same religion.

Christianity is a religion of peace...the new testament is quite different from the old one because in the new testament, christ clearly abolished the law of moses.

His death gave us a new law sealed with his blood...and violent free.

So the church of today as you know, live in peace with people regardless of their beliefs towards christ.

This cannot be said about islam...

I feel the police should commended for speed by which they apprehended her killers.

If they say they want an autopsy on the body, then lets be patient with them while they conduct it.

Now about the issue of your mum...I would suggest that you give into her desires for the sake of peace. You must understand that Nigeria is a very religious country.

I know parents who force their children to sleep outside their homes simply because they attended churches which the parents feel is inferior to theirs.

So like I stated earlier, give into her desires for now...wen you become a full grown man, you can make your decisions yourself.

Now to your story, I won't try to argue with you that the bible doesn't place a lot of question mark on the minds of determined scholars...but in as much as it confuses people, you should also know that its highly educative.

I spent my teenage days reading the bible, therefore I won't advise you to shove under your bed simply because you feel its folly. When next you feel the urge to read it, cast your mind away from passages you feel would lead you to confusion and focus on passages that can be of great benefit to you as in individual.

The book of Esther for example...God's name wasn't mentioned through out the whole 10 chapters of that book. But I find it very interesting to read.

Also in the book of proverbs, you'll find a words of wisdom which I believe can be of great benefit for youths like yourself.

I would conclude by seconding Mr Anony's advise, Don't just give up on God yet, look for a grounded minister of God and try asking him questions you feel sounds absurd to you. And I'm sure that when you merge both knowledges, you would come up with a reasonable conclusion.

I don't consider height as a criteria if I'm looking for a girl...once she has a good attitude and we're compatible, I would go along with her...her height wouldn't be an issue.

I believe there's an attitude in you that has turned him into a living zombie...or perhaps he heard a rumor about you during your vacation.

I wouldn't recommend a discussion as you yourself have stated here that he snubs you openly.

Therefore I would suggest that you consider little gestures such as, preparing meals for him, washing his clothes if you notice they look dirty, playing the video clip of your wedding whenever he's in the living room, and any other idea you can come up with ...and I'm sure that with time, you would win back his confidence.
