And for the quality points... A.....is 5 not 7 B.......4 C.......3 D.......2 E.......1 And F....0 So if you get and A in a 3 unit course, you automatically have 15 points because it would be 5 (quality points) multiplied by the credit hours which is 3...therefor it would give 15. Same rule applies to all other grades. |
ShehuAba: I got dis 4rm a pal in a thread. Dis is d Grades Points calculation in UI :Good efforts, but this isn't university grading its waec grading... Below is university grading... 0 - 39 = F 40 - 44 = E 45 - 49 = D 50 - 59 = C 60 - 69 = B 70 - 100 = A |
Oops... sorry I forgot to add 1.0 - 1.49 = pass, then 1.50 - 2.49 = 3rd class...see my previous post for the remaining |
The man in that picture doesn't look like a police, and also the wound doesn't look like a teeth wound. But who knows...could be true. |
turnstoner: Should polygamy be declared an offence punishable by law? Can such a law be enforced in Nigeria? Are you kidding me...when religions like islam support polygamy 100%, and even some churches practice it. How on earth can the government make it an offense? The only solution of polygamy is abstinence. Stay clear from it and be contented with your wife...and I can assure you that your life would have a happy ending. |
ShehuAba: Gud morning Pls any1 who has an idea of the difference between a 7.0 CGPA calculation and 5.0 calculation should throw more light on it.First, there is nothing like a 7.0 CGPA. Gp ranges from 0.0-5.0 Now here's the break down. 0.0 - 0.99 = fail. 1.0 - 2.49 = 3rd class. 2.5 - 3.49 = 2nd class lower 3.50 - 4.49 = 2nd class upper 4.5 - 5.0 1st class. Feel free to ask questions on areas that aren't clear to you. |
Allow me to add a piece of advise to our freshers in the house. 1. Be focused: most freshers find it very difficult to focus...because the year one class from my experience, is a market place. You have all sorts of tutorial people every now and then, fighting to teach and market their past questions to you. You also have countless organizations in school scouting for members...a few include state organizations groups, local government groups, clubs, fellowships, cults and many others. As a fresher, you have to be very careful on whichever group you decide to follow. You must ensure that whichever group you choose, you musn't spend majority of your time on their activities. How to manage your funds: Most year one students go bankrupt because they lack proper orientation on how to spend their money on campus. As a fresher, you must mind what you spend your money on...look at it this way, most year one students I've come across are obsessed with women and luxury lifestyle. Most of them won't mind missing lectures for a week or more just to host and lavish money on a girl they just met...its that bad. I once had a friend (name withheld) in my first year...he used his school fees to purchase a home theater and a flat screen television. (According to him, he was getting ready to welcome the ladies). Along the line, he became broke as a result of his extravagant lifestyle and couldn't meet up...he actually confessed to me what he did and I advised him to alert his parents about the whole issue. Now if you ask me, I would call that an unnecessary waste. Spend your money on things that would add positive value to your life. Use your money to buy text books, helpful materials and attend tutorials that would boost your academic performance and not for unnecessary show off. 3. Cultivate a reading habit: I've noticed that most year one students spend little or no time on their books...they prefer to explore the campus and its environs. Most of them become local football champions on campus they play football from morning till evening with no hope of reading. In most campuses we have different types of football tournament. Ranging from lodge cup, departmental cup, faculty cup, VC cup, SUG cup etc. All these can make a student loose focus. Also, some become experienced soccer analyst on campus...they would discuss Manu and Arsenal till 1:am. I once had a quarrel with one of them in my lodge back then. So as a fresher, try an distant yourself from such people and associate yourself with people that can add value to your life. 4. Know the kind of friends you keep; Evil communication they say corrupts good manners. As a guy or girl, the people you associate with in your first year on campus, can tell the kind of person you would turn out to be. Good luck |
Both are dangerous. |
I love their creativity it shows clearly that money isn't everything. |
Give them time, they would fizzle out...even though that might take a while, I believe we would see their end. Seun on the other hand, addressed the garri issue the wrong way. His public statement about his hatred for the group and how personal he took the whole thing only made them stronger. Because most people felt he played the role of the Nigerian government towards that issue. (Ignoring more important issues on the forum, and laying emphasis on the less important ones) But I believe that with time, they would fade...its not an issue... |
I can't really say for now...but don't you think $1000 is a lot of money to spend on an anniversary? I mean you (the guy) spent a higher figure a year ago marrying her...now your spending a similar figure a year later for anniversary...don't you think its too much on the man. ![]() |
ikuoma4rea: Married men,hw do u cope with a wife who never says she is sorry even when she is wrong.Rained words on me as if she runs d home.am wondering if ℓ̊ got married to the wrong woman.ur advise pplsNo sane woman would just wake up one day and begin to rain insults on her husband...I perceive something is wrong somewhere. Below are possible reasons for her attitude towards you, therefore take your time to look at them... Do you still show her the kind of love you showed when you married her? Do you compliment her...tell her how beautiful she is and all that...most married men fail in this area. Do you spend enough time with her...take her out on vacations, watch a movie with her, sit at home all weekend and jist and laugh? Are you a good listener...do you consider her own opinions? Do you buy her gifts like teenage lovers do to their girlfriends...gestures like that can boost the love she has for you. Are you or have you been involved in any kind of scandal with another woman...most women's attitude towards their husband changes as a result of such incident. Do you have any kids...if yes what is your level of commitment towards them? Are you the nonchalant type? Do you leave the burden of the children for her to bear alone? Ponder on this questions for I believe the answer lies between them Good luck. |
I agree with uju...they're obviously praying. Its no longer news that some churches in Nigeria wed up to four couples in a single day (Saturday)...I guess this is one of such cases. |
Sweetnecta: ^^^^ is this the test from your bibles or you just made it up, as usual?1John 4:1-3 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world. God asked us to be wise...I watched a video uploded on this forum where a pastor made it clear that christianity is all about the money. A true child of God would not divert you away from the bible, but would make you embrace it even more...read the passage above and you would find much understanding. |
Uju long time...kind of missed you. What's up? ![]() @topic no idea ![]() |
toria1980: Dear Nairalanders,Maybe by the time you get to 35 years and you're still single, you would consider his proposal...hypocrite |
Nice pics...Nigeria we hail thee |
Apologising doesn't mean that you're right. it only means that you value the relationship much more than your ego. |
That preacher ought to be stopped...cos its obvious that he's preaching is pure scam. How would you say christianity is all about the money? How would he say you're under a course if you don't pay your tithe? How dare he make a mockery of christianity? The most annoying thing is magnitude of members in his church...look at the thousands being scamed daily by this one man...why are people lazy, why can't they fall back to the scriptures in times like this? So sad! |
Any church whose doctrine of christ doesn't contradict what we have in the bible would do. |
Its only in Nigeria that you beg law enforcement agencies for justice... So if the woman didn't meet that NGO lady, the police would have swept the case under the carpet... May God save this country. |
The strory wasn't bad...just that I'm still trying to figure out the language the poster used in typing...I'm hell sure it isn't English. ![]() |

ewoma1989: parents /parents 2 be!!!!!@ wat age shud ur child use his/her first phone!!!!!!!!My child is getting a phone the day he/she touches down on this planet. ![]() Cos I would love to constantly hear his/her voice even when I'm in the office, or maybe I travel out of the state say a week or two. ![]() Now when am away, and I begin to feel bored and stressed out, ![]() I'll just put a call across to my beautiful little baby, and guess what...life is back to normal. |
Goshen360: Yes.....Rejoice in the LORD and in the power of His might. Glory to God! I quoted myself to tell the "pagan" that I will repeat myself UNTIL he listens..... ![]() |
Its much better to solicit for support from her than to borrow...borrowing at times can lead to unnecessary arguments. Because when your period of grace expires, and you can pay back, she definitely won't play it soft with you. When next you need financial assistance, and you feel your solution lies in the hands of your wife, sit her down and ask her to support you... more like partnership...let it be clear that you don't intend to borrow but to seek for assistance...I believe she would heed to your request if you come up with a good reason. |
pDude: How come here in US, we hardly know about that development, but in Nigeria, it seems to be the talk of the town?Because most Nigerians know the date and time the rapture would take place...majority of them can even tell you the name of the Angel who would sound the trumpet. |
