Programming / Re: A True Story And An Advice To All Programmers(expecially Newbies) by Creatrixity(m): 10:47pm On May 15, 2013 |
The annoying thing is that with all the proGRAMMERS(not programmers) here. I am yet to see many nigerian programmers contributing majorly to their programming language of choice. You are a java/c/assembly/haskell pro, what was the last library you developed or helped developed? Are you recognised in the open source community? Its your aims and what you do that matters... |

elvis10ten: but do u think any big standard classic ict firms will hire a php coder to create/modify/update their desktop apps rather than someone that is dedicated for the job ?No.just not suited for the job... But just an instance... Besides php should remain what it is,a web scripting language.. I hope you get my point.. |

^^actually that used to be my reaction to the type of post i made but now i have had a rethink... creatrixity:source And yeah, you can create desktop apps with php. I am not a php-desktop app creation fan though.. Python takes care of that.. |

otokx:It seems you do not know the jamb exams are written in Nigeria-the home of possible impossibilities. I believe it was due to the laziness/lack of devices/time-frame of the officials that conducted the exam. |

alfaman2: I have noticed that the more enlightened one is, the less likely he is to be a christian. Most Nairaland Christians are anti-knowledge(check threads with topics like "Russian billionaire plans to make humans immortal by the year 2045" etc) and you will be appalled at the level of opposition to new scientific knowledge but to call them illiterates?Man that is off key!!! |
