Those sophi-people from that side like ritual killings for ''petit money''. They can steal pants, bra, used pads, used diapers and now used face-masks; yet the only rich people I can see from that side are those favored by oil well in Rivers. That's why Wikehatesthem. grin grin. If ritual money can make one rich, Igbos for don first una dominate there. So, get sense and stop!

Poor people on Nairaland will just be attacking themselves and pressuring their blood. Nothing, I mean nothing will come out of these demolition. The constitution gives state governors enormous powers similar to Kim Jong Un. In the next few days now, we'd all forget this and be faced with another more difficult buharistic problem. In the end, the PDP youth leader will be replaced by another thug from same village and having lost his ashawo hotel business, he'd relapse to his former poverty-stricken life; no be Eleme boy again wey no get business sense..sighs!
PoliticsRe: Names Of The 42 Ambassadors Nominated By President Buhari (Full List) by CreekCommando: 5:33pm On May 12, 2020
Buhari has not achieved any lasting legacy since 2015 and time is ticking fast. He needs to:
1. tinker with the present constitution to enable Nigeria survive further, especially as Igbos and Yorubas have been recognized by the UNPO.
2. He needs to work on the electoral act to make votes count or reduce rigging.
3. He needs to give the Igbo another state to surprise them and send them back to wonderland; tomorrow is pregnant and nobody lives forever. Sanni Abacha is loved in Ebonyi state because he created the state against all forces from Igbo land and the Anioma.
REMINDER: Ebonyi state is missing in this list. Sir, please do something. Thanks.

Truth is Buhari has so many surprises in his sleeve. Wouldn't have ever thought someone from Kwara will be his chief of staff. That office is like the soul of the president. I am now believing the news I read few days back that a new cabal is cropping up.

To those who called president Buhari an ethnic bigot, bubu don surprise you oooo.
And to those who says he is too found of old people, baba don show say una dey correct cos the man na 75 years old.

My conclusion, he has a good biography and I pray he pledges his allegiance to both the president and the nation as a whole. May God help you do good and not be caught up in the politics and become useless AMEN.

And may he have the courage to tell the president whenever he is making a wrong decision or being advised to make a wrong decision.

And to those wishing Buhari dead, just pray you live as old as him o cos the man no dey die yet o and people that thought they will outlive him are gone and some terribly sick now ooooooo. May we all live long and may God bless the federal republic of NIGERIA. AMEN.

And to think he will go to the territory and abode of SARAKI to pick his new chief of staff baffles me ooooo.

So why aren't the Africans building it themselves then??

Blacks should just go and hide their face in shame. Don't forget Nigeria was working until the British left.

Why couldn't Africans go to colonize Europe or China??
You're right to blame Africans but reason it this way:

The Nigerian constitution has held us down since the British left. It makes it difficult for Nigeria to grow and if Nigeria doesn't grow, Nigerians will be getting mistreatment as they struggle to survive in foreign lands.
I am 100% certain that if we do these few things, our lives will change in a short while:
1) Unbundle electricity so that different regions can generate power but the North will resist it.
2) Remove mining from the exclusive list so that states can take charge, the North will say they're not ready
3) Allow states or regions to run their airports and create regional security outfit, the North will say they're not ready.
NOTE: If you fix (1) above, Nigeria will cease to be a cripple and half of our guys outside will come back to invest.
If you fix 1, 2 and 3, we can smelt our mineral resources and investors will trust our security system and ease of doing international business. Other amendments can follow.
Chinese respect you when they see you're doing well. All their life, they've bn told you're backward as a black person but they get attracted once you disprove that by doing something that is a breakthrough to them. Most of them were my classmates and I didn't see them as anything.
Finally, most guys here are more racist than the Chinese because of tribal jingoism. Based on tribal clinging, they votefor weak, very old and illiterate president who cannot understand international economics and he goes about begging for loans like this president, maybe because as an almajiri, he's already used to begging

Nigeria is a wicked enclave and the wicked don't prosper. You mean Enugu airport before its acclaimed closure for renovation was 3rd behind Lagos and Abuja but they ran the place with I-better pass-my-neighbour-generator? There was a day I landed via Ethiopia Airline and we had so many foreigners - Whites and yellow Asians; it took over 4 hours to complete screening us for exit. When I asked the immigration guy incharge, he said Abuja does not approve any of their requests but will quickly approve that of Gombe or Katsina airport with ghost passengers. Nigeria will continue to die until justice is prioritized.
CultureRe: Sanusi Lamido Welcomes Baby With His 4th Wife (Photos) by CreekCommando: 10:13am On May 11, 2020
Emir Sanusi or woreva is a tribalist who recklessly ''dashed out'' public funds under him as the CBN governor to universities in the North; he never considered even a single university from the South. He is a Sudan-trained Islamic fundamentalist solely sympathetic to Boko Haram. He championed the killing of Southerners in the guise of religious blasphemy and put the head of one of the victims called AKALUKA on a spike (Femi Fani Kayode reminds us). He was hailed by other Northerners for that bizarre crime but only SANNI ABACHA got him imprisoned for that. He condemns marrying many wives (if you're poor) but has refused to live by example. He's not a role model to any sane person.

If you made money from politics or government patronage, you'd throw it around by giving it to a government that will loot it and give the remainder to almajiri in kano. But if you made from say 1 naira to billions from your wisdom and self-effort, then your wisdom will tilt towards you sharing your palliatives to the ordinary people by yourself, and that's the way here in the East. I'm yet to see anyone who received palliatives from the federal government. So, continue to live fake life!

The above is not the problem with Wike. I feel it is in times like this, that we need those who can wield and exercise their power. We are in very desperate times and no more than in desperate time are desperate measures needed. In some States, Dangote trucks are used to import the viruses. We must be watchful and pray for a governor like Wike. If we had him as president, he'd stopped the virus from flying in. If the south west had him, they'd shut all the exits from Lagos and probably have lesser cases... Wike is signalling to the powerful and those held high, that the life of his people matter; and it would not be traded as is done in Kano and other states, for the economic benefit of a certain few.
People who contradict themselves are usually bad leaders or even bad husbands because they usually don't stand one place. Listen to yourself again:

''Power corrupt, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Lord Acton''..Meaning Wike is already power-drunk

AND

''The above is not the problem with Wike. I feel it is in times like this, that we need those who can wield and exercise their power. We are in very desperate times and no more than in desperate time are desperate measures needed''...Meaning Wike is doing very well.
Are you from that side where people don't stand one place? grin grin
For me: Wike is doing very well to forestall impending calamity; and you already hailed that in your second stanza.

Did Wike ever attend Law School or he just graduated with a Law Degree?

If Fayose was thuggish, it was understandable because he was a street boy.
But wicked Wike who is a Lawyer and married to a fellow law graduate who is a Judge, its hard to wrap my head on why he is so thuggish.

Both Fayose and Wike must never become President in Nigeria. Despite being in a democratic setting, they will be more tyrannical than Abacha could have dreamed of being.
The problem with you Nigerians from some tribes is that you threaten everybody with ''Presidency'' thereby making those who could have given proactive leadershipat state levels to become weak. Go with your so-called Presidency. Has anything spectacular happened to reduction in poverty in Niger, Ogun, Bayelsa and Katsina where IBB, OBJ, GEJ and Buhari respectively come from? Wike is the kind of governor needed to get Nigeria working but unfortunately, Nigeria will never have such a good leader because Nigeria, in the first place, has never been a country.

This is a sad story:

A man in Kano went to a foodseller.
He had not eaten in 3 days.
He begged the seller for food on credit.

The foodseller said no because he already gave food to too many people on credit.

The man sat down beside the foodseller’s shop as he had nowhere else to go.

The foodseller told him he’s very sorry and he would like to help but too many people in the neighbourhood have collected food on credit and his business is sinking.

The man sat there and said nothing.

As time went on, other people came into the shop to buy foodstuff and went out- they noticed the man at the door sitting there sleeping. But nobody bothered.

Until one man came later in the day and asked the foodseller: “who is the man sitting at your door?” “Why is he there?”

Then the foodseller said “oh it’s a man who says he has not eaten for 3 days and he wants to collect food on credit but I could not give him because my business is struggling from all the credit I have already given out”.

Then the other man said: “How much is the food he wants?”

The food seller said “It’s a few cups of garri, rice and beans. Everything may be 2,000 naira”.

The other man said “Alright pack everything he wants and more. I would pay for it. Let him go home to his family and eat”.

The foodseller packed all the food and went outside to tell the man with joy that someone has paid for his food.

He saw the man still sleeping.
He tapped him to wake him up, he didn’t respond. Tapped him again, nothing.

The man had died.
He died sitting and waiting for help.

This happened just few days ago in Badawa, Kano. Some people who live in that area know this story.

The man was dead all along while people were coming in and out of the shop thinking he was sleeping.

He died hopeless. He died helpless. He died a man who his country failed.

Kano has 17 million people.
Less than 200,000 people got any form of palliative from the government.

Many people got hungry.
Many people died in their houses.
Many people starved to death from a govt that locked them in and gave no food.

An evil clueless thoughtless leadership.

If you know anyone in this period who is hungry around you and you can afford a little food or money to give him/her, please do.

Many people are walking the streets with an empty stomach, a sorry face and are dead within. It’s only a matter of time before they physically die.

Don’t be the one who walks into a store and doesn’t bother to ask about the beggar at the door.

We all have our problems yes,
But our little curiosity may save a life.

Be the one who asks “who is that person sitting there?” Be the one who helps.
And be the one who saves a life.

DrOlufunmilayo

Bros, Dave Umahi is doing fine in terms of infrastructure but remember the NBS rated Ebonyi state 79.8% in terms of poverty index rating per head even when other Igbo states were rated less than 30%. When I enquired part of their reasons for such rating, I was told most Ebonyi and Enugu youths are joblessly involved in political touting which is not a form of employment. Enugu was rated 54% or so but Osun which I'm very sure Ebonyi is more developed than was rated about 28%. This means that more of Osun youths might be engaged in individual trade (per head) such Mechanics, farming, and other sustainable jobs that keep them off the streets and away from idleness. What this translates to is that the infrastructure is useless when human growth index is this abysmally low. He is destroying the youths by engaging over 3000 of them as aids and still doesn't pay them. What could trash this rating to a normal low level is engaging these youths in progressive agricultural business or any futuristic trade because the NBS may have rated all of these youths as jobless political touts with no sustainable means of livelihood.
