You've got something this beautiful and you'll rather give it all up because of her looks? Was she beautiful in the past and then turned ugly all of a sudden? Because I don't understand what's changed.
For your sake eh, I do hope you're handsome facially and pocket wise as you're looking for someone pretty. Anyways, don't marry her. If you do, you'll be cheat on her with a beautiful lady.
Even if he gets married to Genevieve or Agbani, an Arab or a fair Fulani, he would still cheat on her.

Once the heart isn't contented it becomes insatiable and nothing will quench it's thirst.

This doesn't just apply to relationship though.

So forget it, his Psyche not her looks is the problem here.

Immediately I saw/read the news about the MD of NNPC paying a visit to FCC, I knew the end is close.

May not be this January, may be in February, but the long wait is almost over.

Fasten your seat belts and prepare for landing. smiley

You're a perfect gentleman just like me. But, sometimes, our persona is our weakness especially when those around us are carnivores, they will always seek to break us and devour us.

It's well. Keep being you.

gud advice but at the same time , this guy in question wants something this lady can't give. in fact tomorrow it must and not will create more problems. I will surely blame him for leading d bae on but at thesame time , its beta now than regret tomorrow.
I understand, but he has to first manage his expectations. Many of us have this fantasy lives we all want to live without carefully weighing the cost.

There is always an opportunity cost in every relationship you enter. If the opportunity cost is higher than your real cost (present/ desired suitation/relationship) then, it's a wrong mission, abort!!!

Had so many memories. Lol.

From being called in the assembly ground for running away while being flogged, to scaling the fence to buy food and nearly being caught to cheating in the exam hall during WAEC.

I look back and smile. Small, gentle but stubborn me. Can't believe I did those things.

The craziest?...... Should be when I boldly walked out of my school gate without being stopped, I had no money on me and had to trek kilometres, begged for money at a certain bus stop, got stuck in traffic and continued my trekking.

It was on a Friday, by Sunday my father bundled me back to school.

Hello everyone, I have something bothering my mind for a long time which I need an advice on.

I have a girlfriend which I really love so much, we were friends before i started falling for her, we've been together for long, I enjoyed her company, she's the best woman to me, she's everything you'll love a wife to be in character, caring , love and all.

Unfortunately, I have a problem, and the problem is that, she's not that beautiful to me. I'm a kind of person that doesn't like trying what my mind doesn't fully want, whenever I think of her, it's only that aspect I don't always like.
I've always fantasized of marrying someone very beautiful cos that's what I want. The problem is that this girl is so good to me , I have no problem with her, but I'm only thinking I can get fed of her with time cos of her beauty which is not up to my expectation and I may likely cheat on her.
Please, I don't know what to do, can I still risk being with her or leave her.
Sir, let me tell you this for free. You won't forget this advice whether it goes well or not.

Forget beauty..... Forget money...... Forget tribe..... Forget culture..... Only thing I can tell you is not to forget religion.

I haven't seen life too much, but, o have seen much of the years life has given me.

One day, you will either curse or bless yourself with the choice you have made about a spouse.

You will bless yourself if you are happy. It doesn't matter if you are happy in a hut or in a mansion. If a woman loves you sincerely and genuinely without any superficials, you will be happy. If she loves and respects you despite your highs or your lows, you will be happy. And if you are happy, you will live long, surmount your troubles and age gracefully.

If you think these words I type don't mean anything, in 20 to 30 years you will look back and remember today.

I am one person who had sworn never to get married outside my tribe, but, I can be in a river and still be thirsty.

Don't trade peace of mind and happiness for any other thing.

Give it time and everything I'm saying will soon make sense to you..... Give it time.

Finally rounded up Chernobyl.

I was emotional each time I saw an episode, had to even watch each episode twice so as not to miss any details.

I'm not going to blame the Government nor the workers. However, human error/errors caused it and it's effect was so disastrous.

I want to salute the prompt response of the Soviet Union, I can only imagine how response would have been if it was a certain Country involved.

I also salute all the brave men and women who laid down their lives to arrest the situation from further deterioration, especially the coal workers and each of the over 500k men involved in the clean up.

Lastly, I agree with the Former President Gorbachev that Chernobyl was the reactor that led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union...

As the city remains radioactive, inhabitable and it's poison still holding former residents captive, one can only hope the world has learnt from this diaster.

Those who say we should "move on", "forget this recruitment" and the likes don't know how the Psychology of Humans work in relation to an expectation.

Hope. As short a word it is, is a very powerful word.

If there is a 0.1% probability of Mr A getting a water in the desert, he would remain buoyed and confident of getting water even though his chances are very slim. However, his level of optimism would/may be different from Mr B who has a 99% probability.

If you had no hope at all, then you would be probably dead. Only dead people have no hope.

So, why will you have hope and stay silent? Why will have hope and remain passive? Impossible!!

That's y u keep on saying this is your last time here, yet, you keep on checking the thread once in a while or at the mention of anything NNPC your senses are awake, because the hope in you is active, it's active because you are living.

RomanceRe: I Broke Up With My Double Dating Girlfriend by CsRockefeller(m): 8:59pm On Jan 23, 2020
Respect55:
Some people actually thought I was harsh with the way I ended my relationship with my ex in the past, maybe u will have to retract ur steps after reading this.

For few days now, I have been having some issues with mtly atm card pin. Whenever I want to make withdrawal, the response will be, "maximum pin trial exceeded" whereas I haven't used the card at all. I thought it was network ish so I kept my cool. Normally, I would walk into the bank to withdraw.
Fastfoward to today, I decided to meet with customer care agents inside the bank to reset my pin. I went in, laid my complaint and the lady asked me to join others siting down till it gets to my turn. A familiar voice called me name and it was her. My ex. We exchanged pleasantries like nothing happened.

I didn't notice anything till she got up to be attended to when her time came. She was pregnant. I felt drained. Someone I thought I left a virgin, pregnant? I couldn't believe my eyes.
After sorting her issue out, she came back and sat down. At the far back inside Zenith bank along Psychiatric road.(For those of you in portharcourt).
It later got to my turn after a while and my pin was reseted and everything was cool as I found out later. I wanted to leave and she followed me. When we stepped outside the bank premises, she pleaded if I would excuse her. I did.
She asked if I'm surprised with what I'm seeing, I didn't answer. I was dumbfounded.
She just told me that there was nothing to explain to me me.
She: "There is no need trying to explain anything to you. All I'm saying is that I'm sorry and you should forgive me." She gave in to tears. I managed to keep my cool. "Don't do that" I managed to say to stop her from crying. Then I asked her where she is living to which she said she is still with her parents. "What of the owner of this" I asked making reference to her pregnancy to which she said it's the same guy I saw her with .
I asked why she isn't living with him ans she replied that he absconded when they found out she was pregnant.

I comforted her and tried leaving and she help my hand. I turned and she knelt down at the full glare of passer-bys. I managed to lift her up forcefully when she refused to stand up. We went back to the bank premises, i made a 5k withdrawal with mmy ATM card and gave her to assure her that I bear no grudges and she thanked me.

I tool another route even though we were meant to take same.

I feel pains
Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!
shocked shocked shocked

I'm speechless to be honest. I read your post the first day it was published but didn't take your story too serious as I thought that you weren't into her like that. Now, I'm going through the thread in retrospect and I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to stomach.

And this latest development makes me so sober, especially for her. She didn't feel like she did anything wrong with what she posted on the thread earlier but the scales have finally fallen, you really loved her and she knows, what a pity.

In everything, you did well, exactly what I would have done, quietly walk away even though it's painful.

In everything, I have come to realize that we (men and women) are all over grown babies. There is no guarantee that we will always do the right thing despite the way we grow in size, height, wealth and status.

Somewhere, there is that baby in us that tends to pop up. What we have to do is to ensure its buried and never rear it's ugly head.

Unfortunately, your ex was a victim of this "sickness" and it cost her a lovely person in you.

Life nawa o!

Hi guys.

Thanks to those who have kept hopes alive on this thread. You guys are amazing. To those who have continuously updated us on the happenings around this recruitment, you are the real MVPs.

To be honest, I have given up on this recruitment because NNPC has given me reason never to trust anything Nigerian again. These federal institutions need fresh minds but keep on sticking to primitive ways of doing things.

How would this country ever change??

My advice for anyone with his/her heart fully in this recruitment would be just to live their lives as if NNPC does not exist. Turn your back on them too. If you get APL later, great for you. But just look at how messed up these guys are behaving.

NNPC doesn’t deserve us.
I said it sometime last year that Nigeria doesn't deserve me. I know what my worth would have been if I did take a trip down south of Africa not even the USA's or Canada's of this world.

Imagine if Obama's father had remained in Kenya and raised Barrack there, imagine how such a talent would have been hidden.

That's what Nigeria is doing to many of us. Unfortunately, we won't be young forever.

This evening as I was listening to "we plenti" by Cobhams ft Simi, I kept asking myself when?

When will Nigeria youths get that "one hit song" that would change their lives forever? When?

I used to think like Dr Achebe that Leadership is Nigeria's biggest challenge. Of recent, with comments that have followed the Supreme Court judgement of IMO State, I am convinced that we have a bigger problem with followership.

I will now prepare myself, APC must not meet me here in 2023.

This country has no hope and I won't sacrifice a good life on the mantra that "e go better"

If you have an opportunity to leave, do so. Obama's father left Kenya and Barrack became President ahead of the Jackson's and the Martin Luthers of this World.

The choice is yours, life or death? But, I beg you, choose life, leave while there is still time.

One said she's anti-low value men, can u imagine? That's beyond normal, that's a candidate for the psychiatrist.

Life is too short to carry hatred in your heart for too long o, whether male or female, pray or wish that you live a peaceful and fulfilled life.
