Babara1994:I'm in my late 20s. Why did you ask? |
Yuneehk:Even if he gets married to Genevieve or Agbani, an Arab or a fair Fulani, he would still cheat on her. Once the heart isn't contented it becomes insatiable and nothing will quench it's thirst. This doesn't just apply to relationship though. So forget it, his Psyche not her looks is the problem here. |
Immediately I saw/read the news about the MD of NNPC paying a visit to FCC, I knew the end is close. May not be this January, may be in February, but the long wait is almost over. Fasten your seat belts and prepare for landing. ![]() |
Respect55:You're a perfect gentleman just like me. But, sometimes, our persona is our weakness especially when those around us are carnivores, they will always seek to break us and devour us. It's well. Keep being you. |
gunners160:I understand, but he has to first manage his expectations. Many of us have this fantasy lives we all want to live without carefully weighing the cost. There is always an opportunity cost in every relationship you enter. If the opportunity cost is higher than your real cost (present/ desired suitation/relationship) then, it's a wrong mission, abort!!! |
Had so many memories. Lol. From being called in the assembly ground for running away while being flogged, to scaling the fence to buy food and nearly being caught to cheating in the exam hall during WAEC. I look back and smile. Small, gentle but stubborn me. Can't believe I did those things. The craziest?...... Should be when I boldly walked out of my school gate without being stopped, I had no money on me and had to trek kilometres, begged for money at a certain bus stop, got stuck in traffic and continued my trekking. It was on a Friday, by Sunday my father bundled me back to school. CSSL!! |
Omoakin120:Sir, let me tell you this for free. You won't forget this advice whether it goes well or not. Forget beauty..... Forget money...... Forget tribe..... Forget culture..... Only thing I can tell you is not to forget religion. I haven't seen life too much, but, o have seen much of the years life has given me. One day, you will either curse or bless yourself with the choice you have made about a spouse. You will bless yourself if you are happy. It doesn't matter if you are happy in a hut or in a mansion. If a woman loves you sincerely and genuinely without any superficials, you will be happy. If she loves and respects you despite your highs or your lows, you will be happy. And if you are happy, you will live long, surmount your troubles and age gracefully. If you think these words I type don't mean anything, in 20 to 30 years you will look back and remember today. I am one person who had sworn never to get married outside my tribe, but, I can be in a river and still be thirsty. Don't trade peace of mind and happiness for any other thing. Give it time and everything I'm saying will soon make sense to you..... Give it time. |
Finally rounded up Chernobyl. I was emotional each time I saw an episode, had to even watch each episode twice so as not to miss any details. I'm not going to blame the Government nor the workers. However, human error/errors caused it and it's effect was so disastrous. I want to salute the prompt response of the Soviet Union, I can only imagine how response would have been if it was a certain Country involved. I also salute all the brave men and women who laid down their lives to arrest the situation from further deterioration, especially the coal workers and each of the over 500k men involved in the clean up. Lastly, I agree with the Former President Gorbachev that Chernobyl was the reactor that led to the dissolution of the Soviet Union... As the city remains radioactive, inhabitable and it's poison still holding former residents captive, one can only hope the world has learnt from this diaster. |
Those who say we should "move on", "forget this recruitment" and the likes don't know how the Psychology of Humans work in relation to an expectation. Hope. As short a word it is, is a very powerful word. If there is a 0.1% probability of Mr A getting a water in the desert, he would remain buoyed and confident of getting water even though his chances are very slim. However, his level of optimism would/may be different from Mr B who has a 99% probability. If you had no hope at all, then you would be probably dead. Only dead people have no hope. So, why will you have hope and stay silent? Why will have hope and remain passive? Impossible!! That's y u keep on saying this is your last time here, yet, you keep on checking the thread once in a while or at the mention of anything NNPC your senses are awake, because the hope in you is active, it's active because you are living. |
Respect55:Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! I'm speechless to be honest. I read your post the first day it was published but didn't take your story too serious as I thought that you weren't into her like that. Now, I'm going through the thread in retrospect and I can only imagine how difficult it was for you to stomach. And this latest development makes me so sober, especially for her. She didn't feel like she did anything wrong with what she posted on the thread earlier but the scales have finally fallen, you really loved her and she knows, what a pity. In everything, you did well, exactly what I would have done, quietly walk away even though it's painful. In everything, I have come to realize that we (men and women) are all over grown babies. There is no guarantee that we will always do the right thing despite the way we grow in size, height, wealth and status. Somewhere, there is that baby in us that tends to pop up. What we have to do is to ensure its buried and never rear it's ugly head. Unfortunately, your ex was a victim of this "sickness" and it cost her a lovely person in you. Life nawa o! |
Nairanema:I said it sometime last year that Nigeria doesn't deserve me. I know what my worth would have been if I did take a trip down south of Africa not even the USA's or Canada's of this world. Imagine if Obama's father had remained in Kenya and raised Barrack there, imagine how such a talent would have been hidden. That's what Nigeria is doing to many of us. Unfortunately, we won't be young forever. This evening as I was listening to "we plenti" by Cobhams ft Simi, I kept asking myself when? When will Nigeria youths get that "one hit song" that would change their lives forever? When? |
Chernobyl. Hmmmm |
monimekaz:Replied your PM but you never got back to me. |
chuksp09:Hi, have a place after Berger, if u still interested. |
Any Pastor or counsellor in Lagos who can help me with some sessions of prayer and counseling, I will really appreciate it. I'm at my lowest ebb and gradually fading away. |
Nothing concrete yet. |
darbeelicous:Heard she's late. |
passionatesol:Couldn't finish one episode of Vikings. Too gory and no storyline for me. |
During my NYSC. She was my neighbor, always coming to my room in a hostel of about 20 rooms ( a school of health was located where I served)... I never knew what she wanted till one day like that, after that day, she never came to my room again. If I have a second chance, I still won't do it. |
landmark86:That's what your type know, you people think everyone is sexually perverse like you are. Nonsense! |
Jewessgratitude:My Sister, not everyone is serious about certain things. |
I used to think like Dr Achebe that Leadership is Nigeria's biggest challenge. Of recent, with comments that have followed the Supreme Court judgement of IMO State, I am convinced that we have a bigger problem with followership. I will now prepare myself, APC must not meet me here in 2023. This country has no hope and I won't sacrifice a good life on the mantra that "e go better" If you have an opportunity to leave, do so. Obama's father left Kenya and Barrack became President ahead of the Jackson's and the Martin Luthers of this World. The choice is yours, life or death? But, I beg you, choose life, leave while there is still time. |
Still available. ![]() |
6 years. Not that I've not been seeing ladies, but, i seem not to be able to find serious ones, some are small, yet to get into school, not my tribe, not my complexion and so on. I just want the perfect description, a working class, Igbo, fair and a Christian at heart. I must find her this 2020 |
Michellekabod2:Yes o my sister, we wish them fast healing. |
I'm tired of seeing some comments on Nairaland. You people think this is a local site to display your foolishness or hatred? One said she's anti-low value men, can u imagine? That's beyond normal, that's a candidate for the psychiatrist. Life is too short to carry hatred in your heart for too long o, whether male or female, pray or wish that you live a peaceful and fulfilled life. Don't spend your Lifetime nursing hatred against not just a person but a whole gender. You can't win such. Selah |
Men!! I'm so pained. This is unbelievable. |
Sad day for IMO lites. |
Travelled to over 8 states, passed across 20 states, passed across over 50 LGAs, been to 4 of the six geo political zones, and not once did I undertake this journey for love or relationship. Will never do such, no one except a family or a true friend is worth that risk, even Lagos to Ota to go see a friend dey hard me. |
Collyno82:Amen. |
