I think if you will be making videos for public views, you should invest in a good camera like a GoPro or phones with good stabilization. Shaky videos are a turn-off
Nefritis: Good day everyone. I applied for a Turkish student visa on the 11th of August and I got my passport back through DHL on the 25th of August with a pink paper (the receipt) and a small white paper stapled to it saying my application has been forwarded to Turkish authorities. When I applied at Voya visa Lagos I was told I would get a response after 3 weeks. If I've not gotten an email by this Thursday, 1st of September, would it be okay to call the embassy to find out the status? While I was applying there was another person who came to find out about their passport and the person checking documents mentioned that they haven't been sending emails recently and they should call the embassy.
I have observed a number of people here looking for their passport after visa application? Doesn’t the embassy or Voya visa collect passports at the point of submission of documents, and then return, after a decision has been made? Please, how does the process work? I want to apply for a tourist visa in September, and don’t want to start looking for my passport from Voya visa to the embassy.
The information I am about to share with you may be helpful to one or two people. A common adage we all know is "make hay when the sun shines.". Back when obtaining a Permanent Residence permit in South Africa was easier and stress-free, many people advised us to apply regardless of whether we needed it. Some of us ignored the call, while others applied and got it right away! With the permit, I have been presented with many opportunities, and I am grateful for Mr. Mandela's fight for equal opportunity. Nowadays, it is difficult to obtain any type of visa in South Africa or outside of it. What's the reason? The economic downturn caused by Covid-19 and the Russian-Ukraine war is sweeping the globe, and South Africa is not immune. In what sense does this mean? At the moment, South Africa is facing many challenges. Considering the high unemployment rate, and those who are looking for cheap political points, most locals are advocating extreme measures on immigration. A second reason is that South Africa is trying to limit the number of economic immigrants looking for a safe haven in their country. Therefore, some categories of visas have been halted, technically. This is not Nigerian-related.
What are the implications of this development?
1. A student or prospective hustler living in South Africa no longer has a better opportunity to hustle. Scholarships and funding are difficult to obtain for research master's and doctoral degrees unless you are a permanent resident.
2. South Africa does not allow you to extend your visitor visa while you are there. Your chances of ending up on the streets are high without a permit!
Advice
1. Your travel history may determine whether you can get your visa for a vacation in South Africa. Other countries, even those in Africa, may be of interest to you. If you're thinking about studying, why not consider other options?
My personal observations are not intended to discourage you from leaving Nigeria for greener pastures abroad, only to indicate that the pastures no longer seem green. Also, keep in mind that we have different fates.
the point is that they fail to make a decision in time and return people’s passport. It’s not compulsory you grant people visas, but make a decision in time, weather favorable or not, and return someone’s passport. I was thinking of traveling to SA in December for vacation, but can’t apply, eventhough i have been there before and also have good travel history, because I fear they may decide to hold my passport for 6months.
flavann: HI, Got my visa today, i wasnt ask about ticket, submitted last week thursday, since monday the visa issued, receive collection mail today. opened the passport saw 3 months visa.

marryjamess: It doesn't matter if there are just a few drops or a substantial puddle; this raises some sort of concern in the mind. You can afford to ignore the oil leak, but you should never try to put it off completely while keeping in mind the repercussions.
However, finding an oil leak for a professional is not difficult as it can be done with just a quick inspection. However, once there is an oil spot, it is up to you how you respond.
Your car uses gaskets to close up a number of points, including the timing belt cover, camshaft, and the oil pan, etc. However, they frequently serve as the primary cause of leaks of any kind.
In the meantime, it is preferable to have a few ideas about what could be causes and where your car might be leaking oil.
Worn Oil Pan Gasket
The oil pan is a common spot for oil leakage. The oil pan is located somewhere near the bottom under the hood. Therefore, there is a huge probability for damage from a hit when travelling over an uneven bump.
However, if used for a prolonged period of time, oil pan gaskets are vulnerable to wear and tear. A worn oil pan gasket will not be able to seal the oil pan with the engine block.
Oil pan gaskets can be changed, but you must be sure of the exact amount of engine oil because leakage could cause it to reduce. Simply schedule a car oil change at Service My Car if it is below the recommended level.
Cam Shaft and Crankshaft Seals
As an engine’s internal component, the crankshaft is fixed at the bottom while sticking out a bit from two sides of an engine.
However, it is protected by the seals at both ends to prevent the engine oil from leaking. But, if these seals start to worn out, there are a whole lot of chances of leakage.
Similarly, the camshaft too has seals at both ends, and they might get worn over time, resulting in leakage.
However, it cannot be identified until you make an inspection under the hood. A leak needs to be taken care of on-time.
Cover Gasket or Seal
In an engine, a timing belt works with the crankshaft and camshaft. Modern automobiles use a timing chain rather than a timing belt, though both are concealed by a cover.
A timing chain is lubricated by the engine oil, so there are seals to protect any kind of leakage. But, there is always a probability of leakage. This leakage does not appear too hazardous until it results in a lack of lubrication and, consequently, some sort of internal damage.
A common risk due to timing cover seal leakage is damage to the timing chain and even the camshaft and crankshaft. Therefore, you have to check for the seal and replace it as well as look for the timing chain and go for car timing chain replacement if needed.
Leaking Cylinder Head Gasket
A head gasket protects the engine from the infiltration of coolant. However, if it gets worn, there are a lot of chances of coolant infiltration, but in some types of engines (especially boxer engines); the head gasket may cause external leakage of engine oil.
Therefore, a worn head gasket is not a matter of ignorance as it might affect engine operations and force you to go for expensive car engine repair.
Loose Oil Filter and Drain Plug
Every time you arrange a car service for your vehicle, the oil filter is always changed and the oil drain plug is exchanged. However, there are enough chances of human error that your car’s air filter might get loose and the oil drain plug is not installed properly.
In such a scenario, you may often spot some oil dripping under your car.
Loose-Filler Cap
Engine oil is reserved inside an oil tank and it is safeguarded with a filler cap. However, a loose cap might be the reason for the leakage.
However, it is simple to spot because there might be a sizable oil puddle under your car because oil may leak out of the tank's mouth in large quantities.
Excess Engine Oil
It is expected that a damaged seal or a loose filler cap will cause an engine oil leak. If there is too much engine oil under the hood, it could also leak.
You can recognize this if there is a puddle of oil under your car but there is no check engine light on the dashboard.
The overflow is caused by too much oil. The extra oil can easily be identified from the vehicle using a dipstick, so this is not a serious problem. When filling the oil tank, there may occasionally be some extra oil that spills out of the tank. However, this might only produce a puddle of oil once or twice.
Your vehicle consists of a number of fluids, such as transmission fluid, brake fluid, and coolant, etc. They all hold a risk of leakage. However, engine oil is more prone to leakage. The leakage from the engine often appears to be light brown or black in colour under your vehicle.
However, a leakage happens due to the worn and damaged parts, while you can easily avoid such events by opting for scheduled car maintenance at a reliable service centre such as Service My Car. Here, you also get all your needs fulfilled with your car service without any hassle. Just book a service online or request a quote at our website. You can also call our service representative.

I have been noticing oil shortage in my 2007 Honda Accord, so that I have to top up from time to time. I have replaced oil seals and stuffs but the shortage is still occurring. There are no signs of oil dropping on the ground. I usually service with Honda synthetic 5w20. I have used the car for 10 years. Started noticing this sometime last year. What could be the solution?

OAra: First of all - good day everyone, hope your day has been great so far!
I am planning to (finally) take a 3-weeks long trip around Nigeria and was curious to ask if Nairalanders had any particular suggestion as to what would be worth visiting, considering just how big the country is and the limited time at my disposal (only 21 days...).
I'd also like to ask if you'd have any suggestion regarding dress code, some tips regarding travel, etc - I'll already stand out like a sore thumb in many areas thanks to my skin color and I can do nothing about that, but I'd like at least to avoid behaving in such a way that will make me look even more like the stereotypical tourist going around cluelessly.
Specifically I'd be curious regarding how making physical gestures while speaking is seen - I admit that the stereotype about Italians speaking "with their entire bodies" is actually true, and having found out the hard way (involuntarily insulting my host during a trip abroad, even though we ended up as friends once the misunderstanding was clarified) that in some cultures is a sign of disrespect to speak "physically" like we are wont to do (moving hands, etc), I'd rather ask beforehand how this is seen - given the sheer diversity of cultures within Nigeria, I am curious about the different states and tribes view on this to be honest.
Thanks in advance for any help!
hmm! You better look for another country to visit. If dem kidnap you, my hand no Dey o.

solasoulmusic: Not all men show you their true colors immediately and once they do it’s after you have already caught feelings so it’s harder to detach. I believe every experience can help you understand what you want from love for example when I was driving my mums Kia there’s no day I wasn’t spending time with love entering traffic unnecessarily but now in my Benz na only me dey cruise that’s life. Not everyone is ready to grow and be mature until life forces you too.
Even your high school sweetheart 10 years later might not be so sweet it really takes love and wisdom to sustain a relationship and not everyone has wisdom but they can make love well. So now do you want to make love well or build a future together? The relationship breaks down because of this.
You can be forgiving but there are somethings you can’t forgive especially if it involves conspiracy.
why are you always writing without comma or full stop? How do you want any sane person to make meaning of what you just wrote?
Tee50: You do not need an appointment in lagos, you walk in...they open 9.30am mon to fri. I paid 255 dollars and 13,000 in naira last month make sure you have all the documents and up to date statement of account.
thanks for your response. I guess the 255 dollars includes the so called VIP fee ? And again, what are the documents to submit? I read where someone said you’ll need to notorize your documents. Please, what does that mean?
