Business › Re: Naira Appreciates To N756.61/$ On Investors & Exporters' FX Window by cucumbar: 10:20pm On Jun 20, 2023 |
nextstep: Yes it has changed, but that rate was artificial, in the sense that only a very small segment of Nigerians could realistically access dollar at 460. The 756 you're seeing is the real - market supported rate - what it should have been all along, and indeed was closer to what most Nigerians were getting.
The rate that Naira becomes will be a weighted average of the old (subsidized) rate and the parallel rate (weighted by the number of people who could access either). JPM seems to think 600, I'm thinking it would get worse, even going as high as 800, as multinationals with money currently trapped pull out their gains. Painful in the short term, yes, but the reason the naira is devalued is because we want to buy more than we produce as a country.
Same thing with fuel. We were all paying the higher rate for petrol (it just didn't come out of our pocket, but we were paying it in the lack of service and infrastructure). Now the hope is now that we won't be subsidizing neighbours or smugglers, we will see the gains of paying more out-of-pocket. you APC and Tinubu supporters don’t get tired of these your useless stupid analysis. You gave several analysis for 8 years while things got out of hand. You have started again with your rubbish analysis of it will go up and come down. It will never be well with you and your kind that support evil. |

Uten9z: Which kind wahala be this
I deh my way coming back from Abuja to go report salary varnishing between IPPIS to account without any description and then this. By the way Abeg who even design that thiefing device REMITA self, una days don the count finish?
The truth about this is that the future gain is better than the sacrifice we have to make as a country now.
We quickly compare this country with china on how years back china was backward that even Nigerias currency was far better but we don't want to knw the sacrifice they made or undergo such to become the words leading economy one day. We have zero down from fastest developing country to what we are now.
Believe me even closing the borders by Former PMB was not a wrong idia but the system didn't make plans + our greedy marketers and marchants men who countr the prices of market commudity perceive that new actors will arise from the result and they will be face out so instead they resulted to frustrating the citizens with highest impact on the poor masses with unscrupulous rise in prices of livelihood.
It's not funny for me especially and I didn't vote in this government but a right thing is right to associate with, I am not finding it any funny but I believe there are some bricks that we need to drop in this country if we need to move forward and better and it dosnt matter who does that.
One thing obvious is that the prices of community normally even from a kilometer apart varies in Nigeria (no control) and Nigeria still patronize them in there variations and never complain even with the wide margins weather they knw or not in as far as they need it but then I observe that the gap and margins is now closing up considerably, I can speculate by a more than 75%. I mean people that extort other people are now forced to close up, they cannot longer practice their hideous crimes of over bloating their market prices again because no one is buying and to keep business they are have to almost harmonize their commodity prices with the regular because of the hike of price from increase of subsidy most likely.
By the way cutting down means of person living is the solution to cope now till things set.
I trust the government to do something too just like GEJ did by supplying Elrufai Buses, and with other emoluments expecially for government staffs and citizenry.
But if una decision is that we stay as we deh tor no qualms, as the common Nigerian man slugan "Na so e bi tei tai, nothing go work for this country". Or we go support and join jagaban so that the small salary we deh earn no go stiln stop. Abi una no no say the system don deh cripple? We need a different approach to fit into the fast evolving world economy with too much loan to bare for as long as possible.
Unless we are set to end this country or frustrate this government by making sure it doesn't deliver (which we all go sufferam) we need dialogue on possible outcome forward. My pick you stupid lots keep talking about future gains and useless sacrifices. Una no Dey taya or is it that you guys that keep making these excuses are blind? All the sacrifices and future gains you keep referring to, the future never reach? Jesus Christ! |

But anyone who feels the only thing he has to offer is the endless search for a rotten manhood is free to do so. But one thing for sure, they will search for that manhood till 2031.
After 2031, Shettima, a banker continues from where the great Jagaban stop and if the nitwits searching for manhood still deem it necessary, they are still free.

Ayinke93: As someone who got rejected even with a company invitation letter, I was so confident I ticked all the boxes during my application. The second time I applied, I had to seek the assistance of an immigration lawyer. They noticed the inconsistencies in my income, uncertainties about my coming back to a Nigeria because I stated I’d be visiting another country on tourism on a business visa application and lack of home ties. I’d suggest that if you’ve been denied thrice, you should also seek assistance from professionals as many times, you’d be surprised by the irregularities in your seemingly perfect application. just have plenty money in your account, and work with a reputable company, then travel history to two or 3 African countries, maybe dubai. I used to think I can’t get a visa to shengen countries or any of these top countries if I am not married. But I was surprised I got a visa on first attempt last year. These travel histories didn’t even count sef, because they were in my previous passport , and copies of the visas were removed at vsf before submission because they were not relevant as I was told. They have to be convinced you are not struggling in Nigeria and want to run away. |

Confirmedzombie: Many people who comment here don't even know the meaning, impact of subsidy. All they know is hike in price of fuel.
How can Nigeria be subsidising petrol even for our neighbouring African countries due to huge smuggling of the product.
With the removal of subsidy this smugglers will stop as the petrol is now sold at market price and not subsidised price.
We are mobilising to counter the NLC strike and I am sure this purported strike will create further disharmony amongst the NLC.
Many states won't join the strike and this will turn the NLC to mockery.

Seriously no hating; but Bleep it, how can Road networks be this bare and hazardous? Nothing in those pictures signify safety whatsoever (what exactly are the paintings for? What I noticed in most deveoped countries I have been to, bright colours are not priority but rather well detailed work, quality, carefully designed to standard with the least of users judiciously considered and captured). Sometimes I do wonder how Nigerians survives these death traps on daily basis, it's a big miracle. Good Government are so careful with not providing safety signs and other safety measures, because if a little crash is deemed to have occurred as a result of missing minute detail its a very big issue for the council or authorities responsible for that road. But just look at kaduna Roads and infact all Nigeria roads including fct. It's very disturbing. Thank you bro. Someone was saying I was comparing us to the west. In Islam, killing a person unlawfully is a capital sin. Quranic Verses Al Quran states; ”He who killed a human being without the latter being guilty of killing another or of spreading disorder in the land should be looked upon as if he killed all of mankind.” Qatl or murder of man by a man is no doubt the greatest crime of the society, it has been denounced in the Quran; “And do not kill anyone which Allah has forbidden, except for a just cause. And whoever is killed intentionally with hostility and oppression and not by mistake), We have given his heirs (wali) the authority to amend Qisas (Law of Equity in punishment) or to forgive, or to take Diyat ( Blood-money) but let him not exceed limits in the matter of taking life(i-e. he should not kill except the killer only); for he is helped by the law.” be quoting demonic verses there. I wonder what is difficult for those of you interested in this your sharia rubbish to go your own way and enjoy your sharia in peace. Must you involve everyone? |
