coolbis:So Nigerians own MTN, etisalat, shoprite, shell petroleum, world trade centre, dallas district, julius berger, DSTV, Startimes, Airtel abi? It is because people like you have refused upgrade their two figured IQ that Nigeria is still what it is today. |
Abike da biitch! You've proven once again that youre nothing but a deranged plebb with this thoughless outburst. Now feel free to roll up all your entiire family members, flip them sideways and stick them down ur candy arrse. |
Stelvin101:It's easier to pick a scapegoat and blame for all of these but this is beyond calling out the Igbo man on a public forum. Are you saying the Dangotes that once had the exclusive right to import cement into this country are Igbos? What about Obasanjo who gave him the license? None of these two are Igbos. There are the major oil marketers that cut across all regions of this country. Even here on nairaland, there are threads promoting importation business and I would like to know how you determined they are all Igbos. I'm not saying Igbos are saints when it comes to unscrupulous importation but I beleive every human being has the tendency to be shady and uncharitable as long as you have loopholes that they can exploit. And this trend may just continue, until the government wakes up to the task of cracking down on the importation of all manners of commodities into this country. |
alfakoro1:Bros its chaos not cious please! |
Another dooms day scenario sees Naira falling faster than the speed of light despite our economy being largely depedent on imports. Not that it would have mattered though if we made our own things. I think now is the best time more than ever to insulate this economy from the vagaries and chicaneries of the dollar which is hurting us real bad. We have what it takes - raw materials that we can turn into finished goods. We have the market - nearly 200 million people. We've got arable lands. So why then do we continue to dither? Why do our brothers scramble to undo themselves in importing all manners of floatsams and jetsams into this economy despite its huge adverse effects? Please it is time to have a rethink. Forget economies of scale. Importation is toxic not only to the naira but to us as Nigerians and we are literally dieing and suffocating under its chokehold The government needs to wake up from its slumber and clamp down on these hapless importers in a frankly ageist manner. Then give us power supply and watch us go down and dirty. This is not even too much to ask for. Stop dithering Mr Muhammadu Buhari and get down to work to give this economy a direction. |
This is how we do it. 49 million blue bags from the UAE and we getting Arab money. Kamikaze here we come. |
M for mecca |
The human mind is hard wired for self deception and when you add a bit of indoctrination to that, all that is left of man is an intellectual coward who refuses to see the lies for what they are: lies. But the day we decide to make use of our cerebral hemisphere and not rely solely on irrerant writings by primitive men in jewish antiquity is the day that would see us make that quantum leap from cowardly existence to occupy our own pride of place in this life. Whether that will happen eventually is yet to be seen. |
Smoke everywhere, suya meat everywhere, stealing looting everywhere....time to vomit dollar bills |
The little girl may just have been exploiting her erogenous zone in this case. It is also possible she may have been abused in the past by her previous masters. Nevertheless, what she did is wrong and I can understand the public odium that greeted her actions, fuelled largely by illteracy and intolerance. But as a previous poster pointed out, it is equally wrong to subject a child that young to any form of servitude no matter the intentions. Even there is subsisting law in this country which forbids anybody from engaging any person below the age of twelve in any form of paid or unpaid labour. |
You're really good at descriptive writing. Why not start as a freelancer with any of the reputable media houses and gradually work your way up as a full staff. You could start by writing articles and 'letters to the editor' or opinion pieces in the national dailies and look out for them when they are published so you could use it as proof that you can write. Even this your encounter is fit for publication because it's captivating and full of suspense. Many of the so called journalists in this country today could scarcely write this well. Goodluck to you.... |
PenSniper:Singular boss. Plural bosses. |

onatisi:But Buhari still has the power to unilaterally fire Osinbajo's aides as was the case between Obasanjo and Atiku Abubakar way back in 2005/2006 where OBJ fired all of atiku's aides when they were both squabbling over the third term imbroglio, .... It's all nice and good when they are enjoying a cordial relationship but wait until there is misunderstanding between them and it's then you would see the ugly side of this arrangement. My point is if Nigerians considers him good enough to be voted the Vice President, then he too should be accorded some degree of prestige to choose his aides without undue interference... |
This to me is where the arrangement between the President and his Vice is massively flawed. Since it's the party that chose the Vice President and Nigerians voted for him alongside the President, surely he too should have some powers to at least appoint his own team. If Buhari isn't letting Governors appoint his Ministers, surely, he shouldn't be the one making appointments for his Vice now.... |
What Igbo group....abeg all these faceless touts should go and sit down and let the bosses run the rule |
Ok no more excuses Baba standstill. just start working..........Also hope you won't stain the office floor with fura da nunu........ |
Geesanni:Then you might have to find a better way of channelling your energy cos you just wasted your time making absolutely irrelevant statements that have no bearing whatsoever with what was said above. When quoting me next time, please try to keep things in proper perspective and for the love of everything sane, no need to swear and curse as your post would just get deleted and possibly fetch you a ban. |
Hundreds of thoussands of girls are turning 18 every year, ready to strut their shi* and have their throat banged from inside out, yet some hags apparently living in denial still want to be chased, wooed and cajoled nonstop like they are some kind of secret to immortality. Hmmm Formality indeed. Abeg we no dey for games anymore o..... If you want to play, just lay down on the floor....... |
Geesanni:Did you by chance reply to the wrong post or you are just being half witted on purpose cos the meaning of what you typed above is completely lost on me. |
timbros:she may have said on the floor for all I care. Anyway, given the traumatic condition she had been through in the past couple of weeks, I wouldn't really pay much attention her grammar. |
I could still recollect Ijeoma Azubike's story. The lady who screamed my bag and ran back to the alleged robbery scene involving the vehicle she was trvelling in, only to not be seen again by her co trvellers. Glad to hear she's been found anyway as it almost seemed like an impossible task at the time given the manner she dissapeared without a trace. |
This is smirks of sour grapes to me cos you begged to stay after you were transferred and when cool fm wouldn't budge, you bit the bullet and quit your job. But now all of a sudden, your talking of stagnation and accusing them of favouritsm even though you were willing to continue with them under those conditions. The way I see it is you parted company based on mutual consent. So no need to start badmouthing them and further burn your bridges in the process as you might still need their platform one way or the other. |
Tinubu should gather himself up and wobble to the battle front, rather than hiding behind political drumbeats and cowering like a cornered dog, while another man makes mockery off all he has laboured for. It is true he is inching closer to the deep pit he dug for Jonathan but I think it is still apropriate for jagaban to think of a better way to spend his last lonely days. How can the so called lion of bordelion who led the Youruba army to defeat the demi god GEJ even with all the paraphenalia at his disposal, now be the same man leading an orchestra of praise singers for the gambari he allegedly installed by shear might? It really is beyond cowardice. |
Rather than mustering enough courage to wobble to the battle front, Tinubu is hiding behind his political drumbeats and cowering like a cornered dog, while another man makes mockery off all he has laboured for. Is this how Jagaban wants to spend his last lonely days? |
RIP to her. Trigger happy police is nobody's friend. |
This is how terrorism starts. They should better check that relgion of piss adherent before he takes his madness to a new height. E no de hard them to begin craze for their paedophile condoning deity. |
folabayo1:See the bloated ugly looking toad that is talking about Igbos. Isn't your father one of those destitute queing for relief materials and dying of starvation? Rather than do something to save his life, this douchebag is here trying to circulate her generous but stinking cvnt. Ekwensu. |
Keep on birthing them sisters. Hopefully they get add more numbers to continue the dominance in the Southwest and beyond. |
What about the pint sized ordinary commissioner? Isn't he making inputs to this list or is he seen as no good? Surely Buhari wouldn't want to denigrade him any further by not letting him fight fire with other birds. |
