Leverage2021: see ehn, Lagos or anywhere in the south are indegenous to the natives there
No territory in south belongs to abokis obviously because of the distance divide
But you lie to yourself if you say abokis don't have territory in Abuja, nassarawa, kogi, kwara, plateau states
Years of migration and wars made them displace the indegenes there just as fulanis control kwara
Fulani/hausas are very indegenous to Jos north the exact reason there is always ethnic clash supremacy between them and the Jos south Jos Central people Okay, here is where I end the argument, it is very obvious you have never been into Jos before. They have a stronghold in Nassarawa, Kogi, Kwara, but if you go down history, you will know that Plateau and Benue were the 2 states that defeated Dan Fodio and his head slamming jihadists. Jos north does not have ANY FULANI INDIGINE, NOT A SINGLE ONE, the only place we have lots of Fulani's in the whole of Plateau is in Wase LGA, and still, they are not indigenous as that place belongs to the Taroh, they came there due to its proximity with Bauchi state, but they have become too interwoven with the Fulani's that they are basically like one already, but still, History can not be erased. |

Leverage2021: But aboki can't be lagosians na, they are migrants
But abokis are now native in Jos north areas
Na Jos south you suppose dey call middle belt What qualified them as natives of Jos? If there is any qualifications, then they are natives of Lagos too |

Leverage2021: na true Sha
But aboki from far north still dey Jos na
Yousef na aboki not a core middlebeltern There are thousands of Aboki's from the core north in Lagos, does that make it a northern state? |

darthv: by your assertion above if you look at the map, jos is south. Don't you know division. And balance Me sef taya for all these southerners that have never left Lagos but will want to tell you about where you have stayed for years. |

Trimjos: There is nothing like middle belt. It's either north, south, east or west It is a work under progress sir, the core north played a smart one on the founding fathers of the middle belt, now the eyes have been opened and they know better. By the way, you can type "middle belt" on Google to see if there is something like that or not. |

Xixtie: Rara, Jos na East Ode. Jos is in the middle belt, the forced marriage to the north was just for political reasons. If you categorize Jos as north, then you must also add Benue, Kwara and Kogi |

Education › 1 Dead, 7 Injured As Army Opens Fire On Protesting Plateau Polytechnic Students by Cutezt(op): 12:39am On Sep 22, 2021*. Modified: 12:55am On Sep 22, 2021 |
At least 1 student has been shot dead, and about seven persons have been feared injured as Students of Plateau State Polytechnic on Monday staged a protest over the postponement of their semester examinations by the school authorities. Afrolic gathered that the protest which was meant to be peaceful was hijacked by hoodlums as few cars had their windscreens destroyed. As early as 8 am in the morning the students trooped out in large numbers and blocked the Yakubu Gowon way, a major highway leading into and out of Jos. Our correspondent gathered that the postponement of the examination was as a result of an indefinite strike embarked upon by the lecturers of the institution as the lecturers had issued a notice of strike to the government over what they called its inability to meet their demands of earned allowances and other sundry issues. Speaking to our correspondent Mr. Tindak Teophilius a student of the Plateau Polytechnic said about 7 of their students are currently receiving treatment in a hospital in Jos. he said some of them were Asthmatic patients who could not stand the teargas fired to disperse the students. He described the decision of the management to postpone the examination as an attempt to truncate their academic journey. “ We came to school this morning to start our examinations only to see a circular that our lecturers have been on strike since Friday. “We were not informed; nobody said anything to us we just discovered that we cannot start our examinations. “This is why students were protesting. “We have spent over three years in just one semester owing to Covid-19 lockdown, but largely due to the various strikes embarked upon by our lecturers. “We keep paying for our accommodation, school fees, and other expenses. More so, we are getting old and by the time we graduate, we can’t find jobs because of age,” John lamented. Another student, Pam Bulus decried the incessant strike by their lecturers, adding that the development has stagnated their academic progression. “Nobody has come to address us on the issue and we feel this is not right.“We demand a proper explanation from the management on why we cannot start our examinations today.“We are tired of this back and forth; our academic journey is suffering and this is not good for us,” he decried. Efforts to reach Mr. John Ramadan of the Public Relations Department of the institution at the time of sending this report were abortive. It could be recalled that the Plateau state government recently said that the ban on public processions by whatever guise and name is still in force particularly at this time that the State is still nursing its wounds from the recent attacks that affected some parts of the State. The State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Dan Manjang who gave this hint in Jos recently said while Plateau state Government acknowledges and respects the right of citizens to peaceful protest and advised Parents to rein in their wards and continue to support the Government in working for the restoration of total normalcy to the state Meanwhile, reactions have trailed the shooting which caused panic among the protesters. Following the incident, the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) in a press statement, demanded immediate sanction on trigger happy soldiers or face the wrath of Nigerian students. In response to the incident, the plateau state government confirmed the death of one of the students in a press statement. PRESS RELEASE UPDATE ON PLATEAU POLYTECHNIC PROTESTS; PLATEAU GOVERNMENT CONDEMNS KILLING OF STUDENT, ORDERS INVESTIGATION Recall that the Plateau State Government issued a Press Statement on Monday 20th September 2021 to throw more light on the protests by students of the Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi who blocked the main highway into the State from both the main campus and the Jos campus respectively. In the statement, background was given as to the reasons for the student protests which were triggered by an Industrial Action by the Polytechnic's unions to press home their demands despite the fact that exams were slated to start same day (20th September 2021). As at the time the last Press statement was issued which was shortly after the Deputy Governor Prof. Sonni Gwanle Tyoden met with the unions, school management and student union representatives to resolve the matter, there was no reported death as a result of the protests, apart from some students that were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. However, the Government has today regretably received the sad news from the Police of the death of one of the students who was said to have been hit by a stray bullet and taken to hospital for treatment but could not survive. This is a very sad development which the Government totally condemns and has therefore directed an immediate and thorough investigation to be conducted into the circumstances leading to the death of the student. While commiserating with the family of the deceased student, the Government assures that it will not spare anyone found culpable in the death of the student as it is determined to ensure that justice is done. Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor has directed a Government delegation to visit the family of the deceased student to sympathise with them over the sad and unfortunate situation. Hon. Dan Manjang Commissioner for Information and Communication, Plateau State. 21st September 2021. Politics › Re: What Is The Solution To Jos Crisis? by Cutezt(m): 6:19pm On Aug 30, 2021 |
Blue3k: Agreed his solutions doesn't make sense to me either. Its cowardly appeasement politics. Nobody obligated to do anything he's requesting but they are expected to live in peace with their neighbors. My solutions are simple. Just let people defend themselves and decentralization of police and prisons. This is a law and order issue caused by criminals they need to be dealt with with force.
1. Liberalize gun laws for expanded ownership 2. Decentralize policing and prisons by simple deleting section it from. 3. States need regulate the activities of herdsmen. 4. Nigeria needs to take border security seriously. If this is done, I can assure you that in 6 months, there will be no hausa fulani terrorist in Jos again. I have lived almost all of my life in Jos, except for the last 7 years, I still visit jos very very often, I was there few months ago, all my family are there, I am a berom person, from a royal family which if I say here, will be known by many. The simple problem is that HAUSA/FULANI WANTS TO HAVE JOS AS THEIR OWN, BUT THE JOS INDIGENES ARE READY TO DIE FOR THEIR LAND, FORFEITING IT IS NOT EVEN AN OPTION FOR US. |
Politics › Re: What Is The Solution To Jos Crisis? by Cutezt(m): 6:11pm On Aug 30, 2021 |
garfield1: I want to proffer solutions but a lot of people including you won't want to hear it.we are talking of plateau and there are no idp caps there.if you have followed the history of jos crisis, you will see that weapons are not the problem.the fg is even neutral, the past Governor Jonah hang was very biased in favour of his berom people.... In this last crisis, the indigenes attacked first and they were heavily armed so the question of guns and liberalization of gun laws does not arise.we need a political solution...your solution will prolong the crisis HEADSLAMMING TERRORISTEveryone knows that the Hausa Fulani areas in Jos are illegally owned, they settled there illegally. Anguwan Rogo, Bauchi Road, Anguwan Rin, etc, are lands of the University Of Jos, the Fulani settlers illegally settled there, that was why when the previous Gov, Jang, decided to start the implementation of the Greater Jos Master plan, there was a lot of trouble as the Hausa's saw it as a plan to chase them out of their illegal settlement. No Fulani person living in those areas can bring a valid/legal document of ownership of any plot of land there, quote me anywhere. |

ogbuefi677: That would be setting a bad precedence cos they can start killing ppl in Lagos tomorrow with the target that the city will be divided and parts of it given to them. don't quote that guy, he is a Fulani terrorist |
Politics › Re: What Is The Solution To Jos Crisis? by Cutezt(m): 6:03pm On Aug 30, 2021 |
garfield1: True but there must be a compromise.maybe, they should divide jos north lga and give it to who? are you joking? you are a fulani terrorist disguising as a jos indigene, no right-thinking jos person will prefer this solution, even along the puppet himself cant even think of this. |
Politics › Re: What Is The Solution To Jos Crisis? by Cutezt(m): 6:00pm On Aug 30, 2021 |
Blue3k: Since you said we I'll assume you're from Plateau. How do you feel about his solutions he offered? Is that an acceptable solution to the murders? why should we divide Jos north? the Berom's Anaguta, etc, have been co-existing in Jos north for long and the seats are rotated and shared, That guy is a fulani Terrorist, he wants us to divide it so our numbers can be reduced so he and his miscreants can come and take over one after the other. |
Politics › Re: What Is The Solution To Jos Crisis? by Cutezt(m): 5:58pm On Aug 30, 2021 |
garfield1: Division of jos north lga or a legal agreement to rotate power there what are you even saying? is power not rotated there? the problem with jos is hausa fulani, simple. |
