OP just forget that money, the same thing happened to me with Wema bank about 2 months ago. I went to the fuel station to get fuel and used my card to pay, it was declined but i was debited 4200, i was given the POS slip with declined boldly written on it, just in case i need it, so we tried another POS and this one went through. I sent a mail to Wema customer care about it and they replied after a whooping 27 days saying the transaction was successful. Thank God i had the transaction slip showing declined, so i snapped and mailed it back to them, it took another 3 weeks for them to reply, saying the transaction was successful and i should go back to the fuel station and ask for the money. Something that was almost clocking 2 months already, they wont even remember me, moreover, it was not even close to my house, it was just a roadside station far from me. I mailed them back saying i want a chargeback and they were telling me there was nothing they could do. These banks are thieves now. As for that wema bank, since that day, they have not seen my 1 naira in their bank again.

This country is useless, i thought all failed debit was supposed to be settled with our banks? so what exactly is our business with POS agents? These people are being dubiouse. So if i am traveling to Enugu and all this happened while on transit, does that mean i should travel back to the state to ask for my money?

Just a few minutes ago, I was walking down the street to get bread for breakfast, on my way back, I met one guy in the former area I moved from about 3 years ago. After exchanging pleasantries, I was expecting him to go on his way, while I go on mine, but the guy started walking with me o, he started narrating his story to me and why he has been scarce. He said he used to work at one factory, but because of the increase in transportation fare, he was not able to keep up with transporting himself, so he just decided to use that as an excuse to get his annual break, so he can gather enough money to go back, unfortunately, I was not holding cash as I used the last cash on me to buy the bread, my card wasn't with me either, so there was no way to give him anything. He told me he actually came to see a friend of his whom I know, just to come and have breakfast as that is where he comes once in a while to eat, but the guy was not home, so he decided to take a walk when he met me. I felt sorry for him, he started asking if I had even if it was raw rice or garri at home, so I can give him, that was when I knew it was serious.

I just took him home, gave him the rice babe prepared the previous night for us, and after he was done, I had about 1 paint of garri that I bought about 2 months ago. I am not a big fan of garri, either drinking or eating, so I rarely touched the garri. I packaged it for him, and got a few cups of rice for him. He said he had stew at home already. I also had to part with 3k to support his fare back to work.

You need to see how happy this guy was to get ordinary garri.

People are going through a lot, and the government is not putting anything in place to help cushion the effect as the cost of living has continually gone up since. God go help us a sha.

The naira slumped further to the dollar after closing at 770.38/$ at the end of trading on the investor & exporter forex window on Monday.

According to figures obtained from the FMDQ on Monday, the trading rates had closed at N686.96/$ on Friday.


Trading opened at N703.50/$ and hit a high of N799/$ before closing at N770.38/$.

The I& E forex window recorded a total turnover of $78.03m at the close of trading on Monday.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, last week directed Deposit Money Banks to remove the rate cap on the naira at the I&E window to allow for a free float of the national currency against the dollar and other global currencies.

The banking regulator explained its new forex operation in its report on ‘Understanding the operational changes to the foreign exchange market’.

By collapsing all segments in the FX market into the I&E window, it said this meant all eligible FX transactions in the market would only be done via the I&E window, as all other windows ceased to exist.

The I&E market functions by a willing buyer, willing seller system, where an entity with demand for FX seeks out another entity with FX to sell at an agreed price through an authorised dealer,” the CBN stated.

On the concept of the willing buyer and willing seller model, it explained that the rates were mutually agreed by both parties.

The CBN said PTA, BTA and other invisible transactions would continue to be accessed through the banks at the prevailing market rate.

Good evening boss, it lasts me basically for the whole day, especially when the sun is out, it doesn't really discharge much cos I don't use too much appliances on it if it isn't full. If i still have up to 24-25 % by evening, it stays till the next morning when the sun comes up and it starts to charge again.

The Berom (sometimes also spelt as Birom) is the largest autochthonous ethnic group in Plateau State, central Nigeria. Covering about four local government areas, which include Jos North, Jos South, Barkin Ladi (Gwol) and Riyom, Berom are also found in some southern Kaduna State local government areas like Fadan Karshe with Berom settlers tracing their origins to Za'ang (Zawan) a Berom district on the Jos Plateau. They emigrated during the British Colonial Government of Nigeria. A large number of this tribe, if not all are Christians(about 99% of the populace of the Berom people are estimated to be practicing Christianity). Statistics also have it that about 49% of the population of Plateau State is made up of Berom people.


Plateau is home to over 53 ethnic groups, cutting across 17 Local Government Areas. The Berom, the predominant group in Plateau State, recently, celebrated Nzem festival, a festival of unity among members of the ethnic group who are dominant in four Local Government Areas of the “Home of Peace, Tourism and Hospitality” in Nigeria

The Berom are neighbours, to the north with Anaguta and Anabuze (Buji), the Afizere to the north-east, Bacce (Rukuba) and Irigwe (Miango) to the north-west, to the south-west they share boundary with the Aten and Takad, to the south are the Ron and Kulere, while to the south-east of the state, they share boundary with Mwaghavul, all in Plateau State.

The Berom are autochthonous to the Plateau area, implying that there is no known migration of the Berom from anywhere.

The Berom speak the Berom language, which belongs to the Plateau branch of Benue–Congo, a subfamily of the large Niger–Congo language family. It is not related to the Hausa language (which belongs to the Afro-Asiatic family) or other Afro-Asiatic languages of Plateau State, which are Chadic languages.

The Nzem Berom is a festival to usher in the rains and thank the Gods for a good harvest, The Nzem Berom festival is held every year from April to May, to usher in rainfall for the planting season and to pray for bountiful harvest of crops at the end of the year’s farming.

It further serves as an avenue for Berom sons and daughters to choose wives or husbands, as it presents an array of Berom beautiful women and handsome men, who easily discover themselves at the festival. Clad in their traditional maroon and green colors, the Berom people are know for their 'Gucci like' outfits. This year, the festival which features many other activities like Pagentary, Arts exhibition, food displays and more, was held at the Rwang Pam township stadium in Jos and had thousands of Berom sons and daughters in attendance.


The festival is said to be as old as the people and the culture of Berom and is the mother of all festivals in Plateau State.

In attendance is the Gbong Gwom Jos, former Plateau State governor Jonah David Jang, Plateau State governor elect, Caleb Mutfwang, Senator Dachung Bagos, Actor Akume Akume, amongst many other dignitaries.
