Good decision, bro. You can reach out to me for the Powmr 60A MPPT charger at good price

How much is it boss?

Good evening fam, I have read through all of your suggestions and I have decided to get the panel alongside a 60 mppt charge controller. Thank you very much for your valuable responses.

odimbannamdi:
Throw more light on the emboldened. But based on your explanation so far, it will be cheaper and more cost-effective for you to switch to MPPT first and observe for improvements before you invest more into solar panels

What i meant is that if the batteries are charged, even if it is halfway, i can use it for the entire day, i usually turn it off at night as i dont need light for anything as i sleep, but that's usually very late, maybe 1 or 2am. It takes me from the previous day till the next day, if there is not enough sunlight on that day, it goes to around 23v and i usually turn it off that time. so in summary, if charged anywhere around 25% with Light, then it takes me around 20 hours with 4-5 hours of sunlight.

odimbannamdi:
You still didn't state the size and type of the batteries. The type of connection configuration of the panels would also have been helpful in giving you some precise advise, so I will just make some assumptions and inference to advise you from my own experience

All other things being equal and theoretically, 1 unit of 200ah smf (sealed maintenance free) lead acid battery will need at least 600w solar panels to charge optimally. This assumption becomes more significant if your batteries are tubular batteries, as tubular batteries need more intense charging.

You mentioned that you have just 3 units of 250w solar panels. So, following the rule above, your cummulative solar panels capacity is 450w short of charging your 2 batteries optimally

Also, if you did not get your solar panels from a credible source, there is a very high chance that what you have is a 150w (or even less) panels pasted with a 250w sticker.

Again, the configuration with which your solar panels are connected plays a significant role in harvesting sunlight optimally for their true capacity. For that size, anything short of a 3-Series connection will be sub-optimal

Finally, even though the full picture is not in view, I can decipher that your solar charge controller is a PWM. PWM controllers are not smart enough to harvest sunlight energy optimally. You could have gotten away with PWM if you were on one battery or had a better connection. It is best you go for MPPT solar charge controllers

Sorry i skipped that part, My batteries are 2 luminous Tubular batteries, 220ah. and i really did not buy the equipment myself, the installer did everything based on my budget at that time but the pannels are able to get me through the day till the next day before it goes low if there is not enough sunlight. Yes, My charge controller is PWM and i dont mind buying the MPPT if the pannels will work.

dacool1:
I don't think this will work. The voltage of the panels do not match except you will be willing to buy another charge controller.

If it will work, i will look at the more economical option, if buying 250w pannels to match the setup in place already or buying the 540w and a new charge controller.

odimbannamdi:
You need to provide more information:

What are the models, type and sizes of the batteries? What is the brand of the solar panels? And what is the purchase source of the solar panels? This will help us know whether it is likely to be of true capacity as most solar panes are usually of lower capacity compared to what it is advertised as

Also, what is the configuration of the solar panel connection and what kind of solar charge controller are you using?

The panels I want to buy is the Felicity solar 540w Mono crystalline Half Cell kit 540watts, maximum power voltage 41.62V, mpc 12.98, opc 49.55

The panels I have currently installed are 250-watts- [24v] Monocrystalline Solar Panels

Hello house, good evening.

So I have a setup of 3 pieces of 250w panels on a 1.5kva inverter and 2 batteries, but it doesn't charge fast enough with the panels, I figured that it needed more panels and someone is offering me a brand new 520 wats panel at a good price, however, I refused buying cos I read that joining panels of different wattage together is not a good idea, however, I went ahead to ask my installer if the panels can work together and to my shock, he says they will work fine. I am sceptical about it and don't trust his judgment on this one, so I decided to ask the professionals in the house, what are the pros and cons of joining panels of different wattage with such wide margin?

Terrible! There is a guy i know around my area, he was struggling before and was doing security guard in one secondary school near me, he was constantly topping up different peoples daughters (students) in the security guards lodge, when i discovered that, i distanced myself from him. he ventured into Yahoo while doing his security guard work and cashed out, not big time, but at least, something tangible, but to my shock, the guy no gree resign o, i later found out he was not ready to let go off the free sex and accommodation he was getting, in fact, after he cashed out, the girls multiplied cos he could now give them more money, no be aboki o, na yoruba guy.

This na person wey get very healthy eskimo dog, very white and fat inside the school, i wonder how the school no code say this guy don pass the security guard level wey him dey do.

The day he will impregnate a student, kasala go burst that day and i will be watching from afar!

The home LGA of the immediate ex-governor, even his people can count the things he has done for them with one hand. That man used Plateau state as a joke for 8 years, the only roads still good there are those made by jang, the state is now dirty, all the street sweepers have vanished since he came in, Dirt now drags road with motorists, the only time you see him patching up the roads is when Buhari or an important dignitary is coming to the state. I remember one time they were holding an event and Buhari was at Polo field, hausa men wey making fun of Lalong, screaming 'Governor mai patchi' which basically translates to 'the patching governor'.

You only see him playing golf whenever he is in the state, but he mostly lives in Abuja while governing Plateau, and to think he is currently a minister is disheartening. This is the 'Padi Padi government' that will fix nigeria.

Freelancing offers the freedom to work independently, but it comes with challenges. To succeed, freelancers must actively find and retain clients, handle irregular income, and set appropriate rates based on their skills and market demand. Planning finances, diversifying income streams, and building a professional network are crucial for stability. By recognizing their self-worth and negotiating fair compensation, freelancers can establish rewarding and sustainable careers.

Certainly! Here are the main points in a more detailed format:

**1. The Freedom of Freelancing is Not Really Free**

Freelancing offers various advantages such as the freedom to choose projects, set flexible working hours, and work from anywhere. However, it also comes with significant challenges that should be acknowledged and addressed:

- Freelancers are responsible for finding their own clients, unlike traditional employees who receive assignments from employers. This means they need to actively market themselves and showcase their skills on websites, social media, and freelance platforms.
- Building a strong personal brand and reputation is crucial for attracting clients, especially in competitive fields. Positive reviews and recommendations from satisfied clients can lead to more opportunities.
- Maintaining professionalism, communication skills, project management, and meeting deadlines are essential for ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Embracing these aspects of freelancing positions individuals for a fulfilling and prosperous freelance career.

**2. There is a Possibility of You Staying Hungry and Jobless for Months**

While freelancing provides independence, it also lacks the job security found in traditional employment. Freelancers need to navigate the uncertainty and irregular income patterns associated with the gig economy:

- Irregular income can be stressful, particularly for those who are just starting or have not established a solid client base. Some months may have an abundance of projects and financial prosperity, while others may not offer much work.
- To handle the uncertainty of irregular income, freelancers should plan their finances well during busy periods and save money for quieter times.
- Diversifying income streams by offering different services or working with clients from various industries can help maintain a steadier flow of work throughout the year.
- Building a strong professional network is essential for accessing a wider range of projects and clients, reducing dependency on a limited client base.
- Remaining flexible and continuously improving skills helps freelancers stay competitive and relevant in the ever-changing landscape of freelance work.

**3. Understanding Self-Worth and Setting Appropriate Rates**

Setting rates can be a daunting task for freelancers, particularly for those new to the industry. To negotiate fair compensation and avoid undervaluing their services, freelancers should consider the following:

- Conducting research on industry standards and understanding the market demand for their specific skills provides a baseline to set competitive rates.
- As freelancers gain experience and expertise, they should consider increasing their rates to reflect the increased value they bring to their clients.
- Setting rates should not solely focus on money but also consider other factors, such as the scope and complexity of each project, the client's budget, and the potential for long-term collaborations.
- Striking a balance between fair compensation and building strong client relationships is vital for establishing sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Freelancers should be cautious of clients who attempt to exploit their services by demanding excessive work for minimal pay. Setting clear boundaries, communicating expectations, and formalizing agreements through contracts protect both parties and create a positive working relationship.

Freelancing offers an alluring pathway to professional independence and creative fulfillment, but it comes with its share of challenges. By acknowledging and preparing for these three important aspects of freelancing, aspiring freelancers can embark on their journey with a clearer perspective, confident in their ability to build a successful and fulfilling career on their own terms. Freelancing demands dedication, adaptability, and a continuous pursuit of excellence, but for those who are willing to take on the challenge, the rewards can be immense.
