@Poster. . . Well, countrygrl:Well, I doubt you require any advice! Take a few moments to think: What do YOU want? Write it down! See if being married for BUSINESS or for PLAY (married for marriage sake, divorce could be tomorrow) or REALLY MARRIED for love and plan to stay married is on your list. You said you are completing college, so don`t you think you will make more money with peace of mind and marital stability when you complete college? But if you want temporal money and happiness, it is your choice too! I wish ladies will think of the FUTURE and make good decisions, not when they are 50+ and still LOOKING for the ONE ![]() |
@Post. . . Na to they pour sand for them garri be this o. . .you go hear am for this thread. . .let`s wait and see! ![]() |
This is NOT my president! Imagine the disgrace this guy brings to Nigeria as he tries to get photo ops with REAL presidents and they know he looks worse than a lot of the ILLEGAL immigrants in their country! They probably wonder. . .so, this is the best they've got out of 150 Million people? What a joke! This guy would not even qualify to be a mayor in a fair and transparent society. |
bluespice:Okay, I admit I have no crystal ball to find out what this person did, but is it enough to go and kill the person? I don't know where the person who wants to kill lives but except this is in Nigeria. . .it is almost impossible to get away with such a heinous crime over here. Plus, why would the person who wants to kill get a stain of human blood on his soul?? But seriously, what did this person do? |
@Poster. . .what did this person do to you that you want to commit murder? |
right, one would think that a typical african man in diapora would understand better that this is 21 century and not african setting. they want you to bring in money and still do do as mommy did ![]() May God bring a good man with better head come my way.
I think that there a LOT of Nigerian MEN with better (in fact, SUPERIOR to the "better" heads. . .and come to think about it, I am VERY SURE that very few Nigerian men (especially who grew up in Naija with their parents) will expect a lady to bring in as much money as they do or BIG money, if you call it that. I am very positive that men with GOOD heads are not and will never have to worry about money to provide for their family. . .with everyone doing their just part. A real man is only looking for a woman who will try to meet him half-way (I am not necessarily talking about money or material things in quantitative form. . . and NOT talking about 50/50). Let's face it, a young man who went through Naija, comes here (goes anywhere) advances his education and career significantly way before 30. . .and continues on a path of success will NEVER need a woman to go and work as hard as he does and leave the kids to watch TV all day or become wayward!
what's that supposed to mean? that ladies can't have conversations? lol
Oyin. . .it's not a secret matter. . .how many ladies are having a conversation here now?. . .ratio of guys to ladies, ratio of number of "viewers" to posters?? I don't know about others but I will take a lady that can have a conversation ANYDAY! ![]() |
Well, maybe all the ladies who have "viewed" the thread are going to have to "process" what they have to say (if they are going to say anything) before getting it out! WOW!. . .Oyinda seems like the kind of lady who can actually have a conversation! Nice! ![]() |
A cursory look at this thread will suggest that the subjects are hardly talking about it. . .exactly what happens when the truth of something hits you very hard. Maybe Oyinda is the only down-to-earth and forth right lady that has read this so far? Anyways, to the ladies who have not spoken out. . .for the sake of not giving away what they are trying to deny. . .congratulations but another week rolls in, and as the days go by. . .you know you have less time than you had before and the hand of the clock can not be reversed. For me, growing up seeing a perfect relationship of husband and wife in my parents, I had no other opportunity to learn otherwise how a relationship should be. Sadly, looking at the crop of ladies available these days. . .it seems a better idea to have been born. . .in the good old days. . .LOL (unfortunately, no internet and other nice things of today). However, I will wager that the pool of ladies to choose from then, was much bigger not this days when 99.99% are already compromised and the remaining handful are just a few days away from threading the path of the 99.99%. |
lol but i think she already gave her opinion though. she thinks the lady is kolomental
@Oyin. . . I think the writer was very frank and courageous to have written that piece. . .and though we may not be 100% in agreement, most of the points she marshaled were spot on! However, I am not a lady so maybe ladies feel different but from what I have seen and conversations with other guys, this article is a hit. The question now is, will the ladies even admit this and that the writer speaks for a lot of ladies? |
why? u wan marry asha2?
LOL. . .I go marry but whether it is Asha 2 or Oyinda or XYZ . . .I don't know. The article brings up an interesting question. . .but getting the poster's opinion seems a good way to move this conversation forward! ![]() |
Where is Asha 2 on this thread? What is your opinion about the issues the writer raised? |
Wow. . .I actually finished reading it all! The poster directed her questions to the ladies. . .so I will just wait and see how this develops. It's past bedtime so I will check on this thread again tomorrow! |
What a topic but I couldn't but just add a little of my experience with a lady that was the daughter of one of our tenants way back then. I remember this lady's name very well but I won't say it here. . .her name was Aunty ****. She was very tall and I think the first born in a family of mostly girls. I remember their father and their family car. . .a 504 station wagon. I was very young then. . .I think I was about 5-6. I was very cute then , and still have a passport photograph of me at 10 or 11, taken when I was trying to get into secondary school.I didn't really understand then but I think she just really liked me and I was around her a whole lot. She was also very beautiful. . .surprising how I had that much perception at that age. . .and I do remember that much with her very long hair. Anyways, I just think it is life and things, sometimes crazy things, happen. I do remember another situation which was much 'worse' and the person (another one) concerned may have thought I never had any remembrance of it but I do! |
NL, why all the curse words and scathing remarks now? It doesn't seem a good idea if we cannot have a conversation without resorting to this abrasive use of words. ![]() |
daduke2k:LOL. . .you're begging for MERCY now. . .I should call it quits with coming after YOU? What have you seen yet? You were WAY OUT of your LEAGUE, learn the lesson now! It ain't never worth it to meddle in something that is above your pay grade! So, it is over now. . .I ain't a monster but if you make me bite, I will bite really hard and I take no captives! I was maybe a bit strong in responding to the poster, but realize that this is not a good joke to make. . .some years to come. . .some younger men and women will be reading this. . .what kind of precedence will we have laid if we give the poster a pat on the back? Think about that for a minute. . .and see other responses as reference. I shouldn't make this statement but your last post ^^^^^ was unnecessary. . .you don't know anything about me, neither did I claim to know anything about you. However, if I were an slowpoke and still in the position I am now, YOU will hope, fast and pray to be an "slowpoke" like me. That's it, I am done! |
Wow. . .I actually read all the posts! Miss. Independent Americana. . .congratulations on your success at subterfuge. . .5 "babies" on your phone is not enough. . .all in the quest to meet 1 husband? Well, we have seen that before and what happens to the "1" husband. . .NL may hear about it later. Since your "weapon" is your looks, I suppose, yours will not be a new story. How many ladies in America are jumping from place to place. . . including online dating sites and chat rooms at 50! still looking for the one? Did I say 50? Heck, there are ones at 60+ still searching, ask them and they will tell you the played a game like you're gleefully relating to us now. I personally know and have a friend. . .stunning blonde 39, turning 40 this year, she is beautiful, tall and so attractive. . .I doubt you'd ever come close, even with professional make-up, and not only beautiful she is super hot and an "attention magnet" at that age! Once there was a joke that ran into her calling herself "goddess" (after we saw a movie actually) and I couldn't but agree but that is besides the point. Relationship situation? Disaster! . . .no need to tell any stories! The last one so bad, she is on her way out of here to vacation for a long time. . .and she is going to where she knows NOBODY! I say these so you beware and don't allow "over-sabi", "Independence", "I don't need a man to complete me", "single and loving it", "I big pass these men mentality" be your relationship nemesis! Funny how, as soon as any lady leaves Naija and sets foot in America (Canada, UK, etc), she thinks herself a goddess for whom men must pay homage? Isn't that the genesis of the colossal relationship failure most experience and at 40+, they are pimping themselves away on a free dating site? Don't take my word for it, you have internet access, just do a search to confirm this and while the pathetic 40+ women are pitching away, you'd see 18, 19, 20+ girls, etc in competition with the baby mamas or babyless mamas. You better get a grip! A word, they say in Naija where I come from, is enough for the wise! |
daduke2k:You're obviously losing your MARBLES PANGOLO head. So, if someone takes something this serious below the level of bestiality. . .(read satanic evil). . .your best reaction to my (sharp) rebuke is this lame ^^^^^ name calling? People discuss serious matters here which is fine but this post shouldn't qualify as a bad joke. . .otherwise. . .picture your sister as the subject here and see if you will not rebuke her instantly! Read the various responses from like-wise concerned posters and juxtapose it with the gibberish you offered. Then, you will realize that people like you make, even, non-living objects like Einstein! |
What a calamitous disaster for the unfortunate son of Adam that is dating/will date/consider marriage/marry this bitch who has descended lower than the devil could have planned for any condemned soul? Is this supposed to be an evil joke or the days of Sodom and Gomorrah have been re-birthed in your own home and life? You seem not to realize that this sort of post may actually last forever on this site, like Youtube, and future technologies may be able to identify posters with near pin-point accuracy? Is this the legacy you want your children to inherit? What do you say when this is presented as "evidence" to your maker after you finally kick the bucket? Do you think internet anonymity will be a cover then? The ball is in your court and kick it as you wish! |
Cheating scumbags are not new. . .coming from real-life experiences I have seen myself! But poster, why can't you just write simple, paragraphed sentences that communicate your points effectively? A few meaningful and structured sentences are far better than half a page of headache-inducing gibberish. C'mon, you can do better! |
This is hardly news, but more specifics on how Nigeria is being AUCTIONED! If you are still wondering on how YOU are being auctioned, consider how the resources, stolen from the Niger Delta in the first place, is escorted out of Nigeria by the Nigerian Army! They are paid by your money and resources but not to serve your interest! Consider that seized contraband, are being allocated to Waziri, the EFCC chief thief. . .so while goods imported by ordinary Nigerians are seized as contraband, the ones by the big thieves are not only escorted in and out by the military, the seized ones are "allocated" to the owners of Nigeria! Well, here is the article for all to read: ========================== In interviews with several top officers of the Nigerian Customs and Excise, correspondents of Saharareporters have been told that members of Umaru Yar’adua’s immediate family as well as his close friends are Nigeria’s most notorious smugglers. In separate detailed interviews, our sources described how 52-year old, Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal, Yar’adua’s closest friend and adviser, has emerged as the country’s top cross-border smuggler. The officers also named Hajia Turai Yar’adua, Yar’adua’s wife, as well as her daughters as big players in the burgeoning smuggling rings. One of the sources, who said he was involved in leaks to the Nigerian press about a ring of high-powered smugglers, said their whistle-blowing was aimed at publicizing a well-known fact. He stated that he and other concerned officers knew that no Nigerian newspaper would have the courage to publish the names of those involved. “That’s why we decided to contact Saharareporters,” said the officer. “Before Yar’adua came to power, Alhaji Mangal’s smuggling activities were confined to the northern part of the country. But in the last two years, he has extended his smuggling activities to other parts of Nigeria,” said one of the customs officials. Where do ladies meet these kind of guys? Guys breaking up with their girlfriends on FB. . .guys going back and forth between two ladies, like the poster described? I know ladies have their own too. . .but where do ladies meet these kind of guys? The end result? CONFUSION! |
It seems the ladies in question here. . .with 1000+ posts. . .will soon be graduating to 10,000 with a thread like this! For the ladies who already have 4,000+, na gbege be that. . .be ready for more posts. . .more like encyclopaedia. . .up to 40,000?? ![]() |
Let me just digress a bit from the pictures. . .just an observation: From the left: Stephen Harper. . .so full of himself and self conscious still adjusting his Toronto suit. Nicholas Sarkozy. . .in 'sweet' man's land fantasizing what it will be like to "Hit her up" Silvio Berlusconi. . .accompanied his friend, Sarkozy, on the sweet 'goose chase'! Barack Obama. . .looking ahead, into the future or foreseeing how this picture will end up on the internet? . See Obama trying to use his hand to bring him back to 'reality'. . .I hear him saying "buddy. . .this picture will be on the internet soon. . .get hold of yourself". . .Berlusconi dey try nudge am too but Sarkozy don dey enter agro already. . .LOL ![]() |
Why not marry him first then come back and tell us your experience in 5 years time! ![]() Note: This is NOT an advice ooo |
@ Poster. . .your post struck a chord with me and I will tell you and others a bit about my present and ongoing experience. . . I am specializing in what is regarded as one of the most elite fields of knowledge at the moment. . .is it difficult? VERY! But that is not the story. As part of the project I am working on, my team is developing a particular application. . .there is NO other application out there for it at the moment. I first got access to the code about 7 weeks ago. . .the development is classified. . .and guess what? No documentation!! The application has a bit of history as I understood. . .but the guy who did a lot of the present work, a post-doctoral fellow, resigned the team and moved to a foreign country. . .and the team has another post doctoral fellow left who, at least, had some interaction and made some contribution to the code when I got it. So, getting on the team, I asked for documentation. . .unbelievably, NO DOCUMENTATION!! Now, this is not a classroom, academic software. . .it is HUGE! And wait for this. . .it's being developed in C++ .NET and OpenGL! Complex calculations. . .everywhere! So, I first started by developing first a front-end interface. . .had some issues. . .figured it out after much brain cracking. . .and then I moved on to some other module. . .I have never thought of giving up on anything until I got into this part of the work. The pressure? So intense. . .several days of cracking all my brain cells! Basically, you make a proposition of an idea on how to implement a solution to the problem and you try the implementation and imagine after several implementations fail / are impracticable / do not get correct results and it seems you are even much farther behind than you were when you started? Thrice I had questions when I got stuck and whenever I asked the post doc guy questions. . .his first response. . .always was that part of the code was written by the other guy that left! After trying to figure it out together. . .he (thrice) attempted to modify / add to my code and he always screwed it up! Errors everywhere and thrice I had to go back and correct all the errors to get the software back on track. Meanwhile, one of the leads of the project (a lady). . .not a programmer or developer. . .sets up meetings upon meetings and deadlines upon deadlines. . .such intense pressure. But yesterday, I figured it out! Whaaaaaaaaooo!! Oh was I glad! Now, I am in a much better position than I was before but I am already so pissed off with the annoying and unnecessary pressure. . .in less than a month expect me to learn OpenGL, .NET (though I already knew C++) and continue the application and deliver on very unrealistic deadlines and I had NO documentation to study? Imagine asking questions that NO ONE can answer or NO ONE assuming they know gives an answer? So, poster. . .look within. . .if you like programming and think you have the capability. . .though at the moment you are struggling with this project, then hang in there! You need to find someone who you can share and bounce some ideas off, someone who can help you along as you develop you competency. For most development work of significant difficulty, you should expect a learning curve spanning 5-6 months. Without any help or documentation, it could be longer. So, you don't have to give up just yet. Finally, as for me, I have my deadline tomorrow and a meeting. . .I hope to complete what I need to get done BUT I have made up my mind to NEVER disclose or document my thoughts as to why I have taken certain steps or otherwise to implement any solution. Their arrogance and grandstanding just pisses me off and even if I were required to document the code in future. . .I will document ONLY the most obvious information in the code. . .the most important and knotty issues will never makes it to the documentation. In years to come or whenever, if anyone needs to upgrade or add to the code. . .they will pay and wait for him to makes sense of the WICKED code in the application. But unfortunately, not just ANY developer will be able to get a hang of the INSANITY in the code, they will need someone who has knowledge in this field or willing to wait to acquire the knowledge AND is / can become as competent in the development tools that have been used. Meanwhile. . .they can expect to shell out thousands of dollars while they sit and wait on their pathetic asses for their guy to 'deliver' by the set deadline. Asides this, abeg if anyone knows C++ .NET and / or OpenGL (intermediate at least), holla at me and let's do some sharing from time to time. For people who are trying to get into programming or make a living from programming. . .invest time and effort in C++ and C# (.NET) and you wouldn't get any rest thereafter (good problem). In the meantime, let me say I am not even specializing in software engineering / software development / programming but these tools are very useful and at the right time, the right job will pay top dollars for you to play with them! |
LOL @ Hurricane Moses. . . ![]() MEND carry go jare. . .someday, Hurricane Piper Alpha which has now given birth to hurricane Moses will give birth to Hurricane Osama. . .blow strongly towards Abuja and find it's home in the ill-gotten houses and companies acquired corruptly by Nigerian 'leaders'. . .come oh quickly thou lofty hurricane! ![]() Then, someday. . .it will be hurricane Obama. . .MEND please bring all the hurricanes on to visit our common enemy! |
Yar’Adua a beneficiary of Berger influence and equipment; $6m Halliburton slush funds. West African Construction giant, Julius Berger, has been named in the distribution of bribes to three former Nigerian leaders: Olusegun Obasanjo, Abdusalam Abubakar and Ibrahim Babangida. While the case of Obasanjo and Abdusalam Abubakar were related to the Halliburton bribe scandal, German investigators have discovered a house that was acquired for Babangida in the United Kingdom in the 1990s, although it has not been occupied since then. The German police as well as US authorities are undertaking the huge investigation, which has begun against Julius Berger’s parent company, Bilfiger Berger, in Germany, United Kingdom and the United States. It is large enough to consume the construction company that has at the center of its patronage policy the building of houses for Nigerian officials who awarded contracts to it or helped it “win” contracts. Saharareporters was first to alert the reading public in 2007 that Julius Berger, as its officials got wind of the investigations, was transporting its computers to a West African country believed to be Ivory Coast, with a view to getting rid of the damaging information they contained. The investigations would also affect the current Nigerian "President" Umaru Yar'Adua, who has been connected with receiving huge amount of bribes from Julius Berger in terms of medical fees arranged by Julius Berger's VP, Hans Witman. It would be recalled that in early 2007, Obasanjo ordered Yar’Adua’s transportation to a German hospital in Wiesbaden when the presidential candidate suddenly collapsed in the heat of the general election campaigns. He was flown to Germany in a Julius Berger air Ambulance and all medical expenses were paid by Julius Berger. Yesterday, Obasanjo was sighted at the Helmsley New York Hotel in Manhattan where he reportedly held meetings with his former business associates in the Sullivan Summit to discuss approaches to be taken to deal with the impending investigations. His private assistant, Bodunde Adeyanju has remained in detention for 16 days in Abuja where he reportedly confessed to receiving $6 million from Halliburton officials and passing them on to the former president as well as the People's Democratic Party officials led by Anthony Anenih. The then VP, Abubakar Atiku, reportedly received $2.4 million. Mr. Adeyanju, who featured prominently in the multi-million dollar Petroleum Trust Fund Development (PTDF) scandal in 2006, was Obasanjo's aide for several years before Obasanjo became president in 1999. The bribes funneled to Abdusalam Abubakar have been traced to real estate developments in the UK that are reportedly being managed by an as yet unidentified woman. But if Yar'Adua hoped to wriggle out of the Halliburton scandal, he would be shocked by revelations coming from Obasanjo in New York. An Obasanjo aide who spoke to Saharareporters today disclosed authoritatively that the $6 million Bodunde received was for the People Democratic Party (PDP) elections in 2003. According to Obasanjo, Gauis Obaseki, who was the group managing director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), was the recipient of the $6 million that he (Obasanjo) believed came from different sources which include Halliburton, through Jeffrey Tessler. The aide said that Adeyanju collected $50,000 of the bribe money for himself without Obasanjo’s knowledge and passed the rest to Lawal Batagarawa and Anthony Anenih. Batagarawa, who was Obasanjo's Minister of State for Defence, was Umaru Yar’Adua's classmate at Barewa College. According to the story told from the Obasanjo side, Umaru Yar’Adua's election in Katsina in 2003 became very costly because he was grossly unpopular, and was losing the contest. Batagarawa therefore reportedly moved into Katsina with a large chunk of the $6 million that Bodunde got from Obaseki, to fund Yar'adua's re-election in 2003. The aide further told Saharareporters today that Yar'Adua remains one of the major beneficiaries of the Gauis Obaseki's slush fund and challenged him to disprove it to Nigerians. Batagarawa, the source said, worked with Obasanjo to replace the police commissioner in Katsina State one week before the 2003 gubernatorial elections because the incumbent commissioner was loyal to Muhammad Buhari and his ANPP party Obasanjo has reportedly denied any personal involvement in the Halliburton bribe scandal and has threatened to sue Dele Olojede's 234NEXT newspaper for libel as soon as he returns to Nigeria because the paper mentioned his name as a bribe recipient. Other persons named in the ongoing investigations include former deputy senate president, Ibrahim Mantu; former Inspector General of police, MD Yusuf; Funso Kupolokun, former GMD of the NNPC; and Ibrahim Aliyu, who reportedly took $30 million on behalf of the former head of state Abdusalam Abubakar A part of the Halliburton money is said to be frozen in Switzerland Source: http://www.saharareporters.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3142:champions-of-bribery-and-corruption-julius-berger-named-in-disbursement-of-largesse-to-obasanjo-babangida-abubakar&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 |
