I think most of the posters are just be becoming insane talking about someone you've never had any contact with like you ever knew him! Someone is talking about accent? You must be very ignorant and I advice you learn about something before embarrassing yourself.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas & Ogbomoso Community Disowns Kano Boko Haram Leader Suleiman Mohammed by CyberG: 4:42am On May 13, 2012
no need for long story, really.

all they're asking for is an explanation of his origins because no evidence exists for now, of his supposed yorubaness.

that's all.
huh huh I wonder why you quoted my post and it's very clear.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas & Ogbomoso Community Disowns Kano Boko Haram Leader Suleiman Mohammed by CyberG: 3:25am On May 13, 2012
This is VERY commendable indeed: it's good to see that these people are very tactful, wise and just too sophisticated that they even have not only disowned this guy (should he be from the Yoruba) but in fact dispute that he is NOT one of them and the security agencies should prove otherwise. Very nice!
PoliticsRe: Patrick Obahiagbon On Prof. Sofoluwe's Death by CyberG: 11:08pm On May 12, 2012
This guy is a real dumbass for his deliberately poor communication skills. It is way better if he spoke in his native language and that would be more impressive. I think for as long as Nigerians pay him attention, he will continue his display of stupidity.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas Are The Best In Accommodating Strangers In Nigeria - By Sam Omatseye by CyberG: 6:27am On May 12, 2012
jason123: I am not a Lagosian but I have to say that Omatseye is right!
Lagos, Rivers and Akwa-Ibom are among the very few states I'm proud of. That's why I kinda get pissed off when people try to stir up controversy or try to destabilize the state.

. . . And yes, Yorubas are VERY ACCOMMODATING! An attestment to this is Oduduwa (a Bini man), when he arrived at Ile-Ife (land of LOVE), present day Osun state to become the Father of the Yoruba race up to present day Togo (Ana, Popo and Ewe people). Although, the present day Lagos comprises mostly of non-indigenes (including other Yorubas from neighbouring states), it must be said that the indigenes (Ijebu, Egba, Awori and Eguns) should be respected AT ALL COST! It is not easy to give up your ancestral land to strangers.

Another positive effect of this accommodating nature can be seen in the status of Lagos. Even though Calabar and Abuja were the capitals of Nigeria before and after Lagos, respectively, Lagos still remains a magnet to people. Even the UK prime minister (David) visited Lagos not Abuja.

God bless Lagos state, God bless EVERYONE and ETHNIC group in Lagos state. The state will not be what it is today if not for the Yorubas and other ethnic groups.
Jason, I advise you do not inject controversy or derailment into what should be a good topic of discussion for us to show some gratitude and camaraderie with Lagos. Oduduwa is completely Yoruba from what I have read but feel free to start a different topic about it in ANOTHER thread if you are so inclined.
PoliticsRe: Yorubas Are The Best In Accommodating Strangers In Nigeria - By Sam Omatseye by CyberG: 6:14am On May 12, 2012
Quite fantastic to read and I give it to the Nigerian hosts of the South West: they're pretty damned good! I hope Nigeria can prize Lagos as an asset, draw inspiration and ideas from its progress, leadership and importantly, its hospitality towards everyone from the North, East, South of Nigeria and indeed from everyone around the world!

To ye Nigerians from everywhere: Pray for the peace of Lagos (Nigeria's Jerusalem): they shall prosper that love thee. In the words of the ebullient poets of Lagos: Eko o ni ba' je o (Hope I spelled that right!?) grin

PoliticsRe: The Controversy Over Lagos. . . .na Who Own The Land ? by CyberG: 5:19am On May 11, 2012
The same kind of talk that led to the problem of 1967 is here again. You guys are small kids without any iota of history or sense. Hope some people will not go crying about genocide. If Nigeria does breakup like you've been praying, move, sell or blow up whatever you own and leave immediately. It might be your only chance: the Jews who left Germany at the very beginning of the war were the luckiest.
PoliticsRe: Danger Looms In The North? Gov Shettima Raises Alarm! by CyberG: 3:44am On May 11, 2012
Onlytruth: Hmm, it looks like the North is gradually getting to a point of revolution.
Where are my almajiri brothers in the North? I wish you God's speed!
It is time to topple the thieves who have been stealing you blind and ruining your future.
The time is now! cool
Unbelievable! No insults or calling them derogatory names? Did you have an epiphany? I really doubt it but it is clear their problems is thieving leadership that has stolen everyone blind, replaced hope with fundamentalist religionism while they enjoy everything they denied them of. It is the same in every part of Nigeria!

What has this Shettima guy done for the people since being governor or is he not one of the people alleged to have raised BH? What have you done with all the allocation you've been getting or you just want more while mismanaging the little you get now? Truth is Nigeria does not NEED any Federal Government more but LESS! Let all these states create and make their own money, progress and if they can afford it, merge with another state that is more serious and developing their human resources to help lift their state out of poverty.

PoliticsRe: ..... by CyberG: 1:20am On May 10, 2012
Well, I think this is an old issue and just let it be! Bear in mind however that you cannot expect everyone to be like Fajuyi who would rather die with his commander because danger came calling while he was with him in Ibadan. I think he and his ilk are indeed very bold and courageous!

Also, not everyone can be like the Japanese during world war II, in fact taking not surrendering to heights that shocked the Allies. For example, see the Japanese army and civilians would rather slit their own throats, bomb themselves or jump down the cliff than surrender to the Allies who promised them food and water and were even using other Japanese captives to talk to them directly! They killed themselves, watch this video from about 35.00 mins: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=H7knXFomJwo#t=2139s

PoliticsRe: The Controversy Over Lagos. . . .na Who Own The Land ? by CyberG: 6:29pm On May 09, 2012
Odua,

Onlytruth has three options to choose from when his vision of Biafra actualizes:

1. remain a Biafran and relocate out of Yorubaland, then apply for documentation to re-enter as an immigrant.
2. disown Biafra and become Yoruba, with no need to relocate
3. become an illegal immigrant, i.e., an undocumented Biafran in Yorubaland.
None of those is Acceptable!! Every NON-NAATIVE must compulsorily leave! No need to create another problem that will come full circle in another 100 years!
PoliticsRe: The Controversy Over Lagos. . . .na Who Own The Land ? by CyberG: 4:30pm On May 09, 2012
nku5: Err dude property owners in lagos and all other states in the federal republic of nigeria DO pay Ground Rent and Tenement Rate to the state government
That is not the point. Now, Nigerian constitution and laws allow for what you describe. In the future if at all Nigeria disintegrates, a new law will come into effect and everyone must compulsorily without negotiation or second thoughts leave to the native lands of their ancestors. Houses can be moved, sold or destroyed but their absolutely will be no foreigners in the land and offenders shall be summarily punished very severely.

Alusi Okija: Once more sir, I am not Alhaji Harem.

I am Okija_juju or my alta egos Mmuo Okija & Alusi Okija. I hope that clears it up for you for the very last time.

AND YES I said shoot them dead. According to the constituion of the federal republic of Nigeria, it is a treasonable offence and treason is punishable by death!!
Whatever happened to YOU!?? Now, almost all your posts are laced with hate, meanness, death, tribalism and ill for anyone. Change, living is temporary.
PoliticsRe: What Has Jonathan's Administration Achieved In One Year? by CyberG: 3:45pm On May 09, 2012
Johndoe100: For the last 2 weeks ALL the ministers have been spending at least 2 hours each on tv showcasing what they have achieved. Why have you not watched any? If you really wanted to know, you should have watched.
Another pointless thread.
Spending 2 hours talking about it is the REAL evidence that NOTHING has been done! People who CAN SEE whatever new infrastructure that has been built or FEEL that their position is better now than it was in 2004 SHOULD BE DOING THE TALKING! In short, real good works speak for themselves!

PoliticsRe: Buhari, Tinubu Move To Revive Alliance Between AC & CPC by CyberG: 2:19pm On May 09, 2012
It is obvious that most people who woe rather be bombed to death by the PDP Odechukwudeen are Ibos/SS tribalists and though we are yet to see any progressive moves or strategy or attempts at working with others, they would rather Nigerians die and have no light, security, healthcare, etc than see progress. Talk of cutting off your nose to spite your face.
PoliticsRe: Court Jails Six MASSOB Members In Asaba by CyberG: 12:58pm On May 09, 2012
^^ Good questions you raised but the answer is vested the in 1,000,000 pound gorilla of foolishness in the room: Odechukwudeen Retardo Jonathan. His able accomplices are the people that support him blindly based on narrow tribal interests and those who rigged him in with a 98% majority.
