You cannot think beyond your immediate flat nose otherwise, you would know that this useless policy could see every Abian (some on higher levels of the civil service in the north earning more money) sent back to collect 18,000 minimum wage, who loses more? Remember the northerners in Abia civil service who are more likely not at the top of the civil service and in less numbers anyway would lose less.

2. No new Abian applicant would be hired in any other state in retaliation to this tribal and racist agenda of this governor

3. There is no way to distinguish an Abian from any other state in Nigeria and the states do not have to spend any resources to ascertain that before sacking and repatriating every SE sounding name out of their state to Abia. Are you counting the losses?

4. The new applicants of SE origin will be presumed to have claimed a different state of origin to slip through the cracks so as to work in another state and will never be hired and #3 above would apply. Now compare how many SE natives will be deported to Abia compared to how many non-Abians would have to leave?

5. The neighboring states and its residents would see no reason to let any Abian, who blindly and brainlessly, caused this negative cascade effect to run any business or settle in their state and the affected SE by the human nature of survival will try either by hook or crook to blend-in somewhere which will be met by every form of resistance. What do you think will happen to them? Useless blindness and absence of grey matter like this in the heads of a lot of the older and gone generation ultimately lead to the death of millions of people.

Hey bro. I don't know if you are kidding but I feel your pain! Sadly, Nigerians don't care about your or the next person even if he is dead or dying of hunger while they steal all the billions. I don't see any hope in going to Aso Rock because the same goofuck that was there when you wrote this is still there now. He promised to give you and Nigerians free fresh air for education, security, health, transportation, power and a sense of belonging and while a lot of us cautioned to the contrary, now you have to use the fresh air just like he serves it. Well, if you cross the border to where I am, you will find things are far from perfect but you will have far less basic things to worry about. In fact, you can be sure to be able to communicate and access any of your representatives in government. Until then, Nigerians just have to hold their noses and enjoy the free fresh air.

Even if he did only 10% of things on that list that improved the state, its economy and people, I commend him seriously. I hope he does a lot more. I will surely look forward to visiting soon!

This is rather silly and very short sighted of this governor and his supporters on this thread. So, if other states send away people from Abia who may be way high up on the pay scale, say level 10 of the civil service, they would go back to Abia to earn 18,000? Averagely speaking, most northerners in Abia civil service will not be on the higher rank but Abians will probably be on a higher rank and does it make sense to be sent away from a 100,000 job to your home state to go and work for less?

Another thing is this, if other states decide to send back Abians, you can be quite certain that they will in almost all certainty send back people who are not Abians but from the SE and will not hire anyone with SE name because they can argue that they intentionally changed their state to be something else other than Abia. This may not be true in all cases but what can anyone affected do about it? Will the governor ask for them to be sent back again to be hired in Abia state? Well, tribalism caused war in the past and the stage may just be setting again with uselessness like this one!

Nigerians now defending "leaders" accused of corruption so far as he/she is from their tribes. Very funny country of clowns. . .no longer more money will be stolen under this present government!
