vickylinco:No be today. Guy, me I gave up on Nigerian fans a long time ago. Is it Siasia, Eguaveon, Yekini, even Okacha and the Oliseh some of them are asking for now, Who haven't they rubbished. Keshi will always have my respect both as a player and a coach. I still remember the game in Algiers in 1993 where we qualified for our first World Cup. Keshi played his heart out that day and you could see the joy in his eyes when the final whistle went. That I cannot forget. Neither will i forget the joy of winning AFCON again after 19 years. I wish he had resigned after the World Cup though. Taking the job again was a mistake. |
izzieman:WHAT ? ![]() |
Precious91:Best comeback on this thread. Many of those attacking people who support Buhari tend to forget that a lot of these people also suported GEJ in 2011. |
danpaul1:I think the dude was just being sarcastic because of all those complaining about Northern appointments. |
efilefun:WHAT!!! ![]() |
spencekat:Hhm. A man fraudulently takes over your cocoa farm and gives you a cube of choco milo everyday to sweeten your belly. Talk about seeing the big picture. Or not. |
kay29000:Thank God a few people still have sense on Nairaland. I don't blame those making idiotic comments anyway. It is Buhari and the APC I blame for making some riduculous promises. It will take more than military might to conquer Boko Haram. This administration must not make the same dumb mistakes the last government made. Intel and a concerted effort to stem the radicalization of young northerners is very key in this fight against insurgency. Even if we drop the H-bomb on Sambisa it won't stop this bombing. Anybody can be a BH member; including the man or woman standing next to you. |
Wokeyim:No o. If it were a guy you would hear "we are African men. We don't have time for romance. Nigerian girls should stop copying western ideas of romance." |
yemi1261:You want to cheat? Okay o. But maybe she wants more than romantic play at home. Take her on dates to expensive restaurants. Spend romantic weekends at posh hotels. Take her to Paris, Venice, Milan, the Caribbeans, Dubai. Let's see if she will show you love or not after that. ![]() My brother, put the shoe on the other foot. Would you justify it if she cheats on you because you are not romantic enough, or worse still cannot provide for her like Dangote? |
kelvin100:And what makes you think he didn't test drive? Or where you come from, people don't change? You never see anything. @ OP: Was she always like this even before you had your two kids? Some women tend to feel unattractive after childbirth and may even become depressed. Also, not everyone is into the touchy feely stuff. Maybe you are beginning to act like an irritating sissy around her. Stop smothering her with too much TLC if that is the case. Lastly, I see many guys badmouthing the lady; but if this thread had read "my husband is not romantic", we would have seen long epistles about how we are African men and how our ladies are copying foreign notions of romance. Well maybe OP's wife is a real African woman who has no time for flowers, candlelit dinners and all that mushy mushy stuff. Marry, born pikin, take care of husband, pikin and house. Shikena. |
Dharniel:You can say that again. Be like say the election proposal na arrangee after all. One of them must be a Nairalander or Twitter guru. I wish them a happy married life though. |
deebsman1:Took the words right out of my mouth. Elections were held March 28. By March 31st President GET had conceded defeat, and suddenly promotions were issued in the DSS and Ogar is of on a 3 year study leave. Something doesn't smell right. Due process may have been followed, but were the promotions on merit or just settlement for loyalty to the last government. Anyway, a committee has been set up to review the promotions. Let's wait for the outcome. |
Na wa o. Children of nowadays. Do well in primary four and daddy gets you a PlayStation. For our own time na Kingsway meat pie and Treetop juice you go get. Or at most a wound-up toy from Leventis Stores. Anyway, congratulations young man. Wish you the best in life. As for the public university cynics, keep priding yourselves on suffering to get grades. Besides, are you really getting quality education? No chemicals in the labs. Outdated books in the libraries. Incessant strikes followed by crash-course like semesters to make up for lost time. Mind you, I don't blame you for that, but stop celebrating and taking pride in a faulty system. And appreciate places where things work. |
Wow, I'm surprised no one on the front page made reference to the JTF spokesman's tribe. Abi una don tire to dey shout "Northerner?" Mtscheww. There was a forum. Next. |
DaGC:Bothered about which masses? The masses that are busy bothering their heads about what appointments politicians will get and which tribe has the most appointments instead of how the new government will deliver on its promises? Dude, even the masses are not concerned about their own good. They are happy to see their kinsmen get key appointments, even when it doesn't improve their lives. Next abeg. |
UyiIredia:Won't be a new feeling. Many also regretted voting GEJ in 2011. |
I wonder how many people here even knew that Ekpeyong was the SSS boss before now? Marilyn Oga seemed to own that body. It's also interesting to see tribal bigots calling Buhari a tribal bigot. So funny. A political appointment is made and the first thing you notice is the person's tribe, not qualification or experience. Tribe? Yes, you are a tribal bigot too. Hypocrites. 16 years of democratic rule and 13 was under Southern Presidents. Did that put money in your pocket? Did it improve your electricity supply? Fix your roads? Provide your kinsmen with jobs? Improve health care? Your sentimental tribal tears have blinded you to reality I guess. One day you will all have 'sense'. And then maybe not. |
More ethnic drivel. OP, please explain the fact below. dabossman: |
Wow, this is productive. Nigerians are going to be debating every appointment PMB makes for the next four years. Great. I'd love to see what happens when he appoints his ministers. There will be like at least 5 threads for each minister. Una well done o. |
Fani Fani, APC 's nightmareAPC's secret agent you mean? |
Pavarottii:Funny story. These are some of the last minute appointments former President GEJ made before he left, but since he is one of us (Southerners), it's totally in order. "Last week, members of staff of the Nigerian Port Authority were shocked when they learnt a new Managing Director has been appointed to pilot the affairs of the agency. Jonathan appoints Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero (Northerner) as the new helms-man while. He also appointed Gwarzo (Northerner) as the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. In the same vein, Jonathan terminated the appointment of the Executive Secretaries of the Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF) and that of the Nigerian Content Management Development Board (NCDMB), Sharon Adefunke Kasali (Southerner) and Engineer Ernest Nwapa(Southerner). Jonathan appointed Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development Asabe Asmau Ahmed (Northerner) as new PEF executive secretary." Are you guys seeing how lame your comments are? Every civilian and military government since Azikiwe/Balewa have had a mix of North and South political appointees. Yet in 2015 you lot are still peddling this lame jargon? It's a damn shame. |
rexel99:More of the same. Blah, blah, blah. I'm not 9 years old. I have no time for tit for tat. If you think insulting GEJ or GMB on Nairaland reduces their paycheck, goodluck with that. PDP, APC, not much of a difference for me. A better Nigeria is what I desire. I don't give a hoot about the tribe, gender or religion of who delivers it. |
blackprowler:Bro, Nairaland and several other social media platforms have only helped to confirm the much touted bastardization of the Nigerian educational sector. Educated people? Nah. More like educated illiterates. You have to give it to IBB. He really did a good job. Destroy the standard of education, destroy the economy and the people will be easier to lead by the nose. No wonder the same old men still decide the fate of this country. The younger generation are more adept at senseless e-wars. Now graduates are the chief peddlers of beer parlour gist. There was a country. |
dominique:And you are not one to play the tribal card. Are Northerners not Nigerians? Naira land politics section has become so predictable. All you hear is "dullard, President Buhari, northerners, Buhari, west Germany, $1 to N1, Tinubu, APC, blah blah blah. There was a forum... |
preselect:Sorry bro, maybe you carry a PDP badge. It's all good. Me? I owe the APC nothing. However, I'm a Nigerian who has enough sense to know that an helipad is not as much a big deal as some are making it to be. Especially, if it is installed on a flat land surface. Yes, maybe it is not expedient at this time, but some folks make it sound like Buhari is about to build the Empire state building in Daura and plant a helipad on it. As for your hashtags, well, whatever will be will be. Won't say aye or nay. |
caprini1:Bros, this circle with an 'H' is a helipad o. It's not even an igloo, talk less of bungalow and you're mentioning duplex. Chai, you do well o.
|
SeanDada1:So constructing one 'offshore' will cost the same as constructing it on a flat farmland. Wow, you sure do know your business. |
I'm sorry o, but is this what all this fuss is about? A marked concrete circle on the ground? Add some halogen lamps to light it up at night and you're good to go. Even Baba Mufu my bricklayer and Gani my electrician can install a helipad in my compound. Na to buy the helicopter na there work dey. Mtscheeew. Next.
|
notoriousbabe:Sorry, she seems to have gone deaf and dumb of recent. Last we heard from her was before the election. I heard the Kano result made her lose her voice. Let us pray for her. Dear Lord... |
AOB1963:1. Please show me where I said in my post that Kaduna is safe. 2. Would the same Enyeama complain about playing in South Africa because of the xenophobic killings? 3. Even in France where he plays have there not been terrorist attacks in the past? Abi where did the Charlie Hebdo attacks take place? |
I have been a United fan since 1992 when I used to watch the EPL on Clapperboard Television. However after Man Utd, the other club I liked was Chelsea, first because my favorite colour is blue and also because they had some cool players. I enjoyed seeing players like Denis Wise, Di Matteo, Zola, Torre Andre Flo, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and my favorite guy Gianluca Vialli. It was also a pleasure to see our own Celestine Babayaro join the Blues. I even visited Stamford Bridge the first time I was in London. That was before the "noise makers" started supporting Chelsea. The moment Mourinho won the league for Chelsea all these "noise makers" just became overnight fans; which really isn't a problem; but you would think Chelsea has been the most dominant team in England the way their Nigerian fans make noise. The English fans are more likeable. In truth, I don't hate Chelsea, I just dislike the attitude of this DSTV-generation Chelsea fans. Especially those who don't even know any Chelsea history beyond 2005. |
AzontoGhost:The same Serbia o. I just dey laff. |
