Maybe its just me, but I won't blame South Africans for the misdeeds of a few retarded South Africans. I always work towards peace. I've had too many 1st hand accounts of extreme communal violence. |
Congrats to her. Wishing them a blissful marriage. FYI, I thought saturday the 18th is the re-run date for the Delta Central senatorial election. And that a 'no movement' order was issued |
Very good initiative. A better Nigeria favours us all. I pity GEJ though. Because every bad thing from past governments will be pinned on him. |
I thought the subsidy ish was condemned by these same people when GEJ brought an end to it. ![]() Well, if all your reforms betters Nigeria, I'm up for it. |
dearpreye:Even Keyamo, a lawyer that supported him has shared his opinion about this in the article. Dont get me wrong though, if he could change certain things not working in Nigeria, I'll be glad because a better Nigeria favours us all, but some of his rabid supporters make it seen like he's an almighty. Read a thread here a while ago when 1 of em said that he should reduce salaries of governors and senators. I couldn't believe the stupidity. Another said he'll arrest Fayose and FFK for insulting him. I couldn't believe how daft some Nairalanders are. |
This is 1 of the reasons I keep telling some rabid supporters here that in a democracy, his powers are limited. He's not the almighty Buhari he once was. If his actions contravenes the rule of law, he might end up being impeached. So y'all should lower your expectations of him a little bit. |
Hahahahahaha ![]() |
Looking at some comments above, I can conclusively say that there are rabid idiots on Nairaland. @OP, good move. Respect for the rule of law. |
hotwax:I would have been glad to exchange ideas with you and probably learn from each other, but you lost me the minute insults and tribalism entered this your quote. You couldn't have been more wrong about the tribe-ish. Enjoy a great day. #Peace |
The NNPC should be probed, fine. But a lot of peeps should stop making baseless accusations against the minister. If she's guilty and corrupt, we will know after the probe. Till then, retards should take a chill pill. A lot of Nigerians take people's opinions as facts. I can just say that so so so person is corrupt and a thief, and a whole lot of peeps will spread that around without proof. We should at least wait for after the probe. |
HzRF:Bro, they always made it seem like GEJ was the worse thing to happen to Nigeria, and that before GEJ came, Nigeria was like London. With stable electricity, great health care system, no pump price increase, great air travel system, great roads, no strikes whatsoever etc. APC's state headquarters was where I dared people to tell me which Nigerian leader since 1960 has done more infrastrucrtural projects than GEJ and till now, no answer. And they are always quick to speak of corruption against other public officers and ministries, but none about the man. Ask them to provide where it states in the constitution that the President is in charge of persecuting criminal offenses and they shudder. He hasn't even been sworn in and a whole lot of them are already making excuses for him. If GEJ couldn't fix Nigeria in 5years and was lambasted for it, then 4years is also a good enough time for the General. Personally, I pray it all works out, because a better Nigeria favours us all. Although the amount of decamping is worrisome. If the APC is right about PDP ruining Nigeria, why not reject PDP members trying to join the APC. That would have shown us that they are different. To the rabid APC supporters, they should just let the man to carry out his work as promised and advertised. No excuses. |
Enough of all the 'igbo' ish. If they are not relevant like most Nairalanders usually say, then let them be. Its sickening that some people here even tried to justify what the Oba said. If they are irrelevant, just let them be. Instead of others begging and appealing to the Igbos, it would have been prudent for the palace spokesperson to issue an apologetic statement for damage control. It irks me when I see Nigerians insulting the Oba because of that speech, even kids. Let him respect these people's choice and they will respect the throne back. Leaders of Traditional, religious, multinational corporations, institutions etc should be politically neutral. Call a spade a spade!!!. I even feel for the Agbaje guy sef. Your king clearly not supporting you. Let all Lagosians go out on Saturday and #VoteNotFight for their various choices. All these polity heating up will end in no good for anyone. #PeacefulNigeria #UnitedNigeria |
I don't think the senate ish would fly. Why? Because the power doesn't rest with Buhari/Osibanjo. As for the youth empowerment, they've have promised a ton of jobs already and payment for the unemployed. It would be a slap on our faces, if they were mere 'promises'. Go out tomorrow and #VoteNotFight. #PeacefulNigeria #UnitedNigeria |
Hehehe ![]() |
arsetalks:Yet a lot of the APC supporters here go all bunkers on how the PDP ruined Nigeria, yet the OBJ you are indirectly praising was part of it. My main point here is the disturbing amount of blame being put on the man like Nigeria was Los Angeles before he came on board. Some people here made it seem like before GEJ came on board, Nigeria had stable electricity, great air travel system, no pump price increase, that there were no strikes by public institutions etc and that GEJ ruined it all. Its absurd!!! ![]() I'm sure you saw my dare above about all our leaders since 1960. That he was meek, doesn't make him bad. Let's just allow the President-elect focus on his rebranding of Nigeria into a better one, because a better Nigeria favours us all. No need making excuses for him now because if GEJ was lambasted for not solving Nigeria's problems in 5years, then 4years should be enough for the General or he gets the same treatment. In 2019, we shall re-evaluate. For now....... #PeacefulNigeria #UnitedNigeria |
Snakes are the most dangerous of the lot. |
Some of the people above are among those who still blames GEJ for every problem Nigeria have but exempt all past leaders before GEJ from blame. Smh. I dared a few of the APC supporters at the state's headquarters while passing by, to name a leader since 1960 that has done more infrastructural projects than this outgoing government. I throw the same to my fellow Nairalanders now. Yes, Oil prices are coming down but don't ever think a time will come anytime soon when oil won't be needed in the world. Pray that likewise the way the outgoing govt diversified to Agriculture and Entertainment, that the incoming also bring more ideas away from oil and sustain the existing ones. Vote for candidate, not for party. Hell, GEJ might switch parties and this same people will call him a 'progressive'. ![]() I voted for the PDP during the presidential elections, but I sure as hell ain't voting their candidate for the gubernatorial election. If Lucky Igbenedion or Ibori enters the APC and seek public offices, these retards falling for the party hype will vote em in without looking at the candidates. Even after saying the PDP ruined Nigeria. If GEJ couldn't solve all Nigeria's problems in 5years and was lambasted for it, then no one should make excuses for the General if he can't achieve them in 4years. Let him focus on the task of rebranding Nigeria into the better Nigeria we all hope for. |
I just don't like how overhyped it is. Many people there are always quick to degrade other parts of Nigeria. And this is a place I visit between 4-6times yearly. Sometimes I spend a month. I'm a rabid traveller. Visited/stayed in over 26 states of the federation, and I'm usually comfortable in all these places, so I dont see what the overhyping is all about. To the point that people from Oyo and Ogun states working/schooling in other states claim to be for Lagos. It is when you visit or attend a ceremony you are invited for, that you see their actual places of residence. The overhyping is why a lot of people wanna be Lagosians. I've seen things in Lagos found nowhere else in Nigeria, I've also seen things not found in Lagos but found in other places in Nigeria. Well, Nigeria as a whole is improving on a rapid pace. Even the remote areas of the north are being widely developed now. Bottomline, I hate the overhyping and the large population. |
I used it. Back when Area codes matter. Now, na country codes matter. Very soon, na only planet code go matter, so that we can be having wrong number calls from indians, arabs, french etc ![]() |
Sorry, such is life. It aint fair. Move on. #Sh*tHappens |
I'll be glad she survived without injuries. But if na very expensive car?? hmmm ![]() |
ibedun:Ogbeni, this is wrong. You are wrong. And I'm not even Igbo abi na Ibo ![]() |
I thought this was resolved last year. Abi na 2 PTI dey? ![]() |
Good news for them ![]() |
Sounds like someone's personal opinion and not actually news ![]() |
I'm doubting the credibility of this because its a blog. Time has shown most Nigeria bloggers to say anything, no matter how damaging just to get traffic. If he truly said that, he's eff'ed up. |
Not a bad directive, I must say. |

Hmmm ![]() |
Rainess:Lol, you would be surprised of how clean the backyard is. That I said sewage pit, doesn't mean the all nitty gritty of filth. |
Hilarious!!! |
