Even if the so called 150 million Nigerians vote for OFUNNEKA, that does not mean that she will win
It is not by total number of votes, but by country
So all our votes will be 1 of 13. You will still need the support of other African countries

The reviews you have made is highly intellectual, but I do not think that R locked up in the house had all that information at his disposal. To decide who and when to bond with anybody in the house.
Please o! these people are human beings u are insulting in this manner. I do not think that that is fair.

TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Dalby(m): 2:58pm On Nov 06, 2007
you don't have to even meet midway to still hold hands after any disagreement

you can have a difference in opinion and still get along, it really depends on the importance of the issue at hand.
When I say meeting midway might not necessarily be 50 / 50, could be 70 / 30 or 20 / 80 but there must be concersion (Shift grounds). That shows subconciously that you are willing to give in for things to work out (advance beyound the present)

A true example of your point might make the picture clearer dont you think huh

When there is division between 2 people, there is double vision. Close one eye and leave one open, write down what you can see only. In that same position, close the eye that was open and open the other repeating the same thing without shifting position. I am definite you will notice a difference in all that you saw in both cases. Now open both eyes and write down what you see.
[li]You notice that with both eyes open your field of vision is wider than that any single eye open[/li]
[li]If your brain did not do the job of bringing both of them to a single picture on your retina we would have been stumbling on each other[/li]
Dissagrements are the same in my opinion
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Dalby(m): 9:13am On Nov 06, 2007
"irreconcilable differences"
I think is a term used when no body is willing to shift grounds or make compromises lipsrsealed

I do not agree. There is an element of selfishness and absolute immaturity in lust and I just don't agree that every relationship starts out with lust - an intense desire for self gratification.
You go to a party, you meet a lot of people, guys and girls alike. A group of say 7 girls are sitting and jisting, you are attracted to one and in the course of the party you make a move. Please explain to me the chemistry of the attraction huh, why did you pick the 3rd lady over the 7th lady lipsrsealed

This, also, is not totally true and this notion is what pushes sooooo many people into unhappy relationships and, sadly enough, marriages. Unfortunately, this is a half truth, and those (half truths) are always very strong and can stand many tests before they are exposed as what they are - lies.
In life I do not think there are any absolutes undecided, when you think you have it all worked out, nature pulls a fast one on you.

"the true test of friendship is to disagree and still be able to hold hands"
That is being civilized. The only way you can continue to hold hands will be if both parties meet each other midway in terms of giving concertions (lawyers talk about mediation these days instead of going to court). grin grin grin
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Dalby(m): 9:18pm On Nov 05, 2007
Love is a very strong word that should never be mistaken or confused with lust.
Correct me if I am wrong actually all relationships start out as lust, and if it ever does graduates to love over time. Tolerance in love come with time huh

When immaturity sets in a relationship you have what is called "One fight too many" never moving forward, the same problem reoccurring unresolved. When couples look for the flimsiest excuse to have a fight, you start doubting that love. Love conquers all because love can tolerate. But no be say them no go fight ooo i hope u get my point
Every fight that you overcome in arelationship makes the relationship stronger and creates room for better understanding lipsrsealed

Dalby mark my words, i never said "the absence of fight in a relationship shows that there is love"
Richiana are two different persons that have because of their isolation taken solace in each other and mistook it for love.
I think also that what they have now is lust, which if nurtured can blossom to love, like every other relationship grin

Love conquers all
Ultimately lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Dalby(m): 3:35pm On Nov 05, 2007
Isolation can make us do a lot of things but not as far as Richiana have gone, my God what have they not done!!!! I pity them because from what I have seen so far they are not in “LOVE” they don’t even know the first thing about love, always looking for the flimsiest excuse to have a fight, they cannot even tolerate themselves.
Just thinking aloud, does the absence of fight in a relationship show that there is love huh

People that have been married for say 20 years and above say that the most turbulent period is the first 5 years. Why should that be so, after all the people in the marriage dont change huh SO  huh
Bringing 2 minds from diverse backgrounds / cultures together to live under one roof is hard enough, not to talk of in a relationship. It will take sometime for them to really understand the excesses and deficiencies of each other (That is the only way they can compliment each other).
A relationship and marriage are 2 totally different things.

For R and T, they met in the house, and have been forced to live with each other in the house.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Dalby(m): 1:57pm On Nov 05, 2007
Dalby, it's obvious you're not a lawyer. I have reached this conclusion from your layman's arguments. Trust me Richard is liable for r a p e under South African law, but the legal action is more likely to be against the promoters of Big Brother Africa.
You sure are right about that one, but remember there are always at least 2 sides to an argument. In court the judge or the jury can give a binding verdict that has a legal basis.

Lawyers a while ago told Gov. Ameachi in Rivers not to go ahead with the case, because it lacks basis, but today the storey is different. It is still the same lawyers telling Omehia to file in a case to set aside the previous ruling (challenge the verdict of the apex court). Na so una work dey, if you no talk you no go chop. NO FOOD FOR LAZY MAN grin grin grin
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa 2 (II)! by Dalby(m): 9:50am On Nov 05, 2007
From Ofunneka's reaction when Richard told her that he kissed her, she is blissfully unaware of what was done to her when she was completely sozzled. I expect that when she does find out at the end of the show, she will take steps to obtain legal redress. Her elder sister is a lawyer and I'm sure she will advise her sister accordingly. Being that Homegirl doesn't know what transpired, there is no basis for her to leave the House.
The question is to what extent was she sozzled huh
If she realises that she had made a huge blunder the week before this act, would it not be normal reaction to act as though ignoranct and hide under the r a p e cover. I think we should look at all possibilities and not allow our emotions get the better of us.

As for the Reasonable Man's test, i fail to see how it would apply here. Are you saying that Richard's lawyer would ask if Ofunneka didn't know she would get drunk if she drank too much vodka? Well, she knew she would. But then as the natural next question in the reasonable man's test, is he going to ask if she didn't know that Richard would take advantage of her intoxication by sexually assaulting her?
As for Ofunneka 'enjoying' the assault, you know that is not an argument that would stand up in court. If you go out with a guy and he puts a drug in your drink that renders you senseless, then he proceeds to sleep with you, is it anything in his defence if he can prove you enjoyed the sex afterwards?
My brother what about going out with a guy and he is asking the waiter for 1 bottle after another for you huh of your free will you continue taking in more alcohol even beyond your known limit. You them follow him to his house and turn around to blame him for taken advantage of you. This your law na wa o grin

>These guys have been cut off from the world for close to 3 months
>Alcohol is an intoxicant, people have been known to commit crime or acts against society's layed down norms when high on something form of drug. What makes this case different huh He acted under the influence if she claims she did not know what went down under the influence

Why are we always 2 faced huh
Technically ofunneka was drunk, what about Richard huh
He should be thrown out for r a p e, ofunneka looked very consenting lipsrsealed

Maureen was evicted yesterday and was such a mess on stage, alternately crying and laughing and proclaiming her love for Code (even while beating him at tasks,; she made such a heavy point of this that i was wondering what that had to do with the price of fish in Kampala). She felt triumphant in her stint as Head of House where she claimed to have taken on two girls much bigger than her (Lerato and Bertha) and she whooped with delight throughout her 'Highlights' show. Mercifully, Kabelo kept the interview short to spare us from all the "I was one of the most competitive girls in the house, I beat Code when we had to stand on one leg, I beat blah blah blah." Maureen, give it a rest already. She was last seen being laced into a straitjacket and being bundled into a padded ambulance en-route to South Africa's finest sanatorium. Hope she gets well soon.
The girl even admits that she needs to see a shrink, give her a break.
She has issues with her self confidence and self worth. She needs to be the centre of attraction at all times for her to feel safe. Listen to her comments in the house after Codes eviction. She has problems remember

, what is life going to throw next, not again, even in the big brother house, I will be strong ,
I think we should have a little compasion for her (her childhood / growing up experience could be the reason for her present nature) undecided

It always has a way of bringing out your deepest feelings, the true you or better put the inner man

Ofumama an epitome of African womanhood,

Richard is always to blame huh But they all had the guzzle grin

Why blame Richard huh, we would do better if we blame the BBA 2 staff that took the guzzle to the store house for the HMs. Or take and extra inch and blame the company that manufactured the guzzle. What am I saying, we could take another inch and blame the country on whose soil the company is operating. Better still we can blame the Continent housing the country, the world or go the out and finally blame the DEVIL cool

I was not talking about morality, whats right or wrong.
When you encourage people not to be themselves because of what society will say or dictates then we have a real big problem. If you don't like me and you show it, I will come to make peace with you, and if that does not work I will find all means to avoid you.
When you don't like me and you pretend that we are best of friends just to go behind and stab me with a knife boy thats worse than a viper and you say thats what the society accepts.
Even if he likes tati he should not show it on national or international TV huh Thats a pile of horse s%#t.
Thats saying that its bad enough you like her, do what you want to do with her, its OK as far as its not on TV (the pharisees and the Sadducees)

Quote from LC
There's no big deal. Except for the small issue of Richard being married. Married. You know, where you go to a sacred place, be it church, mosque or temple and swear before God and man to be faithful to your partner for the rest of your life? Yeah, that married. We know not many people are faithful to their spouses anyway, but to do it so openly, so recklessly, so shamelessly as though it were something beautiful
Don't tell me that the world is so in love with pretenders. Let us not try to be more catholic than the pope. We are all adults who are aware of the implications of the choices that we make. Responsibility is owning up, and being true to what you have said. When they asked Christ why he mixes up with sinners, his response was that only the sick have a need for a physician. If we all pretend (holier than thou) I wonder what the world would amount to lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Do not take these things to heart. Look at it from this perspective, the world is made of all sorts. We intermingle like the spiders web and get stronger together. Richard is a heartless, abusive and abysmally irresponsible half-man who does not deserve to be married to anything female. I hope Ricki has seen this and has flown the coop already, because Richard will be coming home empty handed. Hopefully there are still enough right-thinking Africans to ensure that crime doesn't pay, because what Richard and Tatiana are doing is nothing short of emotional crime.
Thats been too hard on the guy. Let us not allow our emotions get the better of us lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
We cannot be more catholic than the pope. If we say all these things about Richard, what would we say about Code huh huh huh
Code knew that his girlfriend was close to 3 months pregnant before he entered the house lipsrsealed
Richard did this, Richard did that, but he did it to one person, while Code who did it to 2 people, his girlfriend (fiance) and the unborn baby did it to two people grin grin grin

She has won. Real or not real. I was touched, although i'm still sceptical about her suicide attempt, in the sense that she has got to have insecurity issues to have reached that level, only after 6 months . I tot only oyinbo people did that.

@Tampico
Are you assuming that she moved in with him the day they met? She lived with him for six months, i expect they must have been dating for quite a while before she took the GIANT (and there is no way to exaggerate this) step of moving in with him. So her suicide attempt is not predicated upon the collapse of a six month-long relationship but on the failure of something she believed wholeheartedly in and braved daunting odds to do. How long would you need to have been dating a guy before you can even begin to contemplate moving in with him? 2 years? 4 years? Perhaps never? Well, i'm sure it took a lot out of Ofunneka for her to have made that decision and to have it crumble after six months.
It takes a whole lot for a woman to start living with a man o, probably over 4 years of relationship lipsrsealed
Imagine the agony of a lot of talk from family and friends. I think that she probably felt that by moving in with him, she would be able keep the guy in check (Control). Till fanally that which you have refused to accept now becomes. I have always told my friends to run if they find any of these 2 features in the woman you plan to date.

God does not force anyone to worship Him or believe in Him
