Ewuro4:Good evening here ![]() Sis wishing people death is not necessary if we actually really believe and follow this God who we thank And attribute all our blessings to. I believe a lot in 'out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh' I think I only know as in really know (who they are)about 5 people on NL in my life off NL .i really don't worry my head much about what the others are thinking about me. I agree that if someone attacks you incessantly self defence is necessary. However in defending I draw the line at insulting parents/curses/wishing death.its not necessary to roll in the mud with pigs. However I acknowledge that we are different individuals. |
I think it depends on the serving/portion. But 95 cal is a lot for an accompaniment sha o ![]()
|
EfemenaXY:Let me check my fitness pal. |
EfemenaXY:Abi o .. I actually think it's doable. Like you said turkey is ok especially as it will be roasted. Instead of over indulging on the desserts one can allow for a few and portion control too. Instead of a large piece of cake maybe half? And yeah sugary drinks too. I will really try not to go overboard . |
And some of you lot will be saying 'it is well' 'praise God' etc and all 'Christianese' slangs with the same heart that could curse and mock people with death. SMH |
hottestlesbian:So insults with people who lost loved ones in a terrorist attack is necessary? |
EfemenaXY:It Kuku did o that's why hubby was shaking his head ![]() I had to defrost myself when I got back home. I am trying to be good cos I don't trust myself in December ![]() |
I usually don't get angry but please this Francis and hottest whatever can you please buzz off ![]() You lot are sick seriously sick. ![]() |
EfemenaXY:Efe has joined the health and fitness winches club officially But based on this naijababe revelations I am tempted to try it . green gooey stuff don't scare me that much anymore .Please Abeg can I buy at normal green grocers or do I have to go to a specialist Health store.i am dreading all the parties and chop chop on this season.Hubby thinks me sef don become winch with the way I dey screen my meals these days. But the day I discovered that you would need to do 502 burpees (I struggle with 40 sef) to burn large fries (not adding the burger or wrap) I just dey respect myself. Had Eba with okra this afternoon but have paid penance with a 8km run and some other exercises.my husband was shaking his head cos even my 3 yr old Eba was more than mine. This healthy living ish is hard man. But my vain self loves the look on people's faces when they have not seen me in a while I don turn weight loss poster gal in church. |
Onegai:I know right looking for ways to constantly engage and entertain a toddler or baby is the most exhausting thing everrr. Now I eat my lunch in peace and can decide not to even talk to anyone outside of work stuff for a whole day as I type I have answered over 50 questions today.I was also intrigued by the suggestion as well. But I feel it's a bit more workable at primary level than at secondary school where subject areas get more streamlined and specialist. |
Why is there an inference on this thread that stay at home mum equals home schooling? Few children are home schooled. Onegai's point was more about the fact that a stay at home mum has more disposable time to impart further knowledge that might not be covered extensively one on one in the school curricula. There is only a percentage of stay at home parents who actually home school their children. Not too sure about home schooling though because I feel education is not just academics but also preparing children on how to interact with others/social skills etc etc .funny enough was going to start a thread on the issue of home schooling just never came round to it. I belong to a parent and teacher educational page on FB where someone posed the question but he was talking more of hiring actual qualified teachers on a salary that would more or less be the same costs that you would pay in most Naija private schools. His argument was at Least the child would be getting one on one tutoring. I thought it was an interesting idea and something that had existed in aristocratic England i.e hiring governesses. Like I said I have always been of the opinion that the constant comparison is not necessary. I feel both sets have different challenges and none actually have it easy especially for those who have their children as their utmost priority. I would know cos I have been both. And contrary to what is touted on NL, I was actually more tired on some days when i was home than now when I work full time. Get rid of the stereotype ,not all stay at home moms spend all their day gossiping and getting fat. ![]() |
Na wa o.. ![]() All this is not necessary ladies seriously life is just too short to be harbouring all this needless beef. Especially online ![]() Ignoring sometimes does not mean one is weak it just means one has decided not to expend energy on negativity. |
EfemenaXY:Your own pass my own o,mine was my dad worried that I would lose my school fees ![]() |
Onegai has saved me epistle on this one .i agree whole heartedly with all your posts. And you are right most Nigerian women are not stay at home mums in the true sense of it. Most of the permanent stay at home mums (with no side income etc) that I know are white women(most of them educated)Na dem full 'mummy and baby yoga' 'tumble tots' 'mum and baby coffee mornings' etc etc black women no dey plenty for all those things. They always used to have rota of activities and I always wondered how they had the energy. ![]() Enough of all this divisive 'studies' that try to pitch one group of women against the other. |
I EfemenaXY:See pot calling kettle black ![]() |
xoxom:YPPPPPPPPPPP How are you and everything? ((((hugs)))) Family is well we thank God |
salsera:Very gansta.. But like all tough situations/enviroments I guess there are life lessons to be taken away. Life lessons that cant be learnt in books. My dad drove me to my Uni registration for the first couple of days. He always used to say he should not have let my mum talk him into keeping me in day school as I wont lie I was very very very naïve ( almost gullible sef ) at that point. University changed me a bit sha LOL. |
Edwife if you are readin it is well (e hugs) |
cococandy:I am sure it was fun.esp the whole hostel camaredrie and all. My first two nights at nysc camp am sure I must have cried seeing as i slept in a corridor on the thinnest mattress ever but by week 3 I was used to it and even having fun. And I actually really wanted to go to boarding house as a child o. I thought they were all like St Clare's and Mallory towers my favourite Enid blyton books at the time ![]() A couple of weeks in a military based typical naija boarding school quickly cured me of my fantasies ![]() |
chai winter is depressing. looking outta the window at work and everything just looks grey... No wonder dem don begin dey put on Christmas light for November |
Noted as well . |
naijababe:LOL I know yoyo is not posh naa. that's why I had to qualify for all these people saying not drinking garri and milk is posh. abi na dem dey form posh sef. |
salsera:real serious matter LOL chop knuckle jare you and naijababe . Leave all this dunkers to be spoiling the' authentic ijebu garri' experience. LOL my mum will even say if the ijebu garri is mega dry and kan( cant say that in English but am guessing sour) you don't need sugar not to talk of milk. Naijababe your head dey there ori eja or fried yoyo/shrimp or suya ( if you want to posh it up a bit). its not about posh sef cos yoyo is not posh. |
bellong:Schools with fine staff quarters plenty now.. all this Ife people and their mouth. Btw did you got to Great Ife or OAU( we can deduce age from that one LOL) I have aunties/uncles that will be say 'I did not to go to OAU I went to Great Ife ' LOL no be the same school ni ? |

bukatyne:Duh thank God I was spared if yall were eating disgusting soaked food. LOL I was actually in boarding house for like 2 mins in JSS1 (outside lagos) but I kept falling ill and my mum was scared so I was withdrawn to become a day student. Maybe I missed sha. I have never lived in the typical crowded hostel situation even in University.I have always had one 'proper' room mate at any point. I remember how I felt at NYSC orientation camp. It was like they threw me into a Jungle LOL. but funny enough I started enjoying it after a week. |
bukatyne:yuk yuk yuk yuk soaked bread ****pukes again**** Thank you mum for saving me from boarding house horrors. LOL |
damola1:I just had to quote this. we gats to train this pikins well I tell ya. My dad used to ring that saying in my ears ' no free lunch anywhere' |
