EfemenaXY:No problem I would be delighted |
Kimoni:I give her 60 more secs ![]() |
EfemenaXY:You should its a very educative documentary.. Ehen all the people that wanted to see my look ****coughs** all I can say is I looked nice if I say so myself even though I spent half the party trying to entertain and control the 16 flower girls and page boys (my daughter was one of them )..one of the longest bridal trains ever and the older bridesmaids were just interested in the bouquet and their make up. Was so tired todayKimoni sambarry oya come quick o ..going going gone ![]() |
tearoses:Not made up my mind yet but was thinking Mint green beads as the aso oke is mint green base with orange and gold lines or just normal gold necklace and earring set The beads are like the beads in the picture in your post. Dudu by nature la wa but I think orange is ok on my skin tone..will see how the combination goes tomorrow. |
Thank you naijababe and sambarry .. Sambarry I looooove that Dakore's look I think I will go for that with the smokey eye effect naijababe posted. |
SAMBARRY:Ok ma Yeah you and naijababe are right the lace is already loud so a subtle smoky look would be brilliant. Thank you |

Y naijababe: I don see my oga . I have just Netflix and Amazon prime (was going to cancel after the free trial but me and my laziness) and Sky (not bootleg).hubby abuses me everyday that nobody pays for sky anymore but I am just too addicted to my Sky+ box I think I have episodes of Eastenders on it that even Iplayer does not have He is thinking of getting the bootleg anyway before Football season starts cos i make him pay for the difference for Sky sports and he says it's a rip off.So much for upstanding citizens eh He calls me an annoying goody two shoes ![]() |
Loving the swift response ..softandmoist thank you I pray the outcome is something that can be helped. . |
If you are like me that sometimes has to chuck fresh vegetables In the bin saw this and thought to share
|
pickabeau1: ![]() smoothies are really good for you. |
AjanleKoko: pickabeau1: esere826: make una no vex oooooBet uncle pickabeau na you dey quote and mention us naa |
naijababe:You will like it its a two part series... Very in-depth analysis on how what is now called Financial Services has roots and funds that can be traced back to proceeds from Slavery. One of the first governors of the Bank of England sef was a slave owner. Most of info is already out there anyway but the documentary kinda looked at it through another angle by tracing the archives for families that got compensation after the abolition. The fact that slave owners got so much money as 'compensation' for having to free their slaves( like £12 billion in todays money) and the slaves that had been dehumanised got nothing was something that really irked me. |
pickabeau1: ![]() Pickabeau wetin you wan take am do for naija naa. |
queen47:seems so at this rate cos my alarm went off put in on snooze and woke up one and a half hours later. will try to do it tonight |
double post |
Kimoni:I am strange I know. my worst nightmare is the queue to get into changing rooms grrrr. I rarely ever use the changing room. I just order it all online , try I t at home and return the wrong size/ones I don't like to the stores.Funny enough I still love to buy clothes etc like the average woman I just prefer to do it online .online shopping does encourage impulse shopping though and cos the shops are there on your hands 24/7 you have to be disciplined not to keep buying and buying. The local DHL/parcelforce/hermes guys know me if they see me on the street they will give m my parcel because they recognise the name and face ![]() |
naijababe:It definitely is.. |
pickabeau1:I don't get the leisure in shopping .. People will want to organise day out as say lets go to 'blue water' Ok if we are going to eat at the restaurants there or go see a movie but to walking around coming in and out of shops.. I don't get it ![]() Always been like that I remember my friends used to wonder what kind of weirdo I was because after like 1 hour waking around (looking at stuff we could not afford at the time) I would have started frowning. By the second hour I am waiting outside the shops and a useless addition to any discussion because all you will be hearing is ' uhhhm it's nice just go and pay and let's go ' ![]() |
UK based peeps is anyone watching 'Britains Forgotten Slave Owners ' on BBC 2. Very different perspective on slave trade /abolitionist movements in Britain. |
pickabeau1:I am the master online shopper .. Can't remember the last time I went 'shopping' oh ok I remember my mums last visit ![]() I am not like most women ..I absolutely Haaaaaate trawling the shops or malls here me and my mum can so argue over it .nowadays sef she just carried her travel card jejely and find her way. punishment to me is walking round Oxford street. |
tearoses:I really should learm gele tying it puts me off owambe sef.that 1hr is including make up though before you contour ad highlight(sorry boys last make up post on this thread) )This weekend though I am going the make up artist route. Emi naa fe se big geh the girl is my church member and I have given beer so many customers(I know plenty owambe loving people) and was so happy when I asked to do mine this weekend. She is even collecting £30 from me sef. |
naijababe: ![]() He is o. he dreams Thomas in his sleep sef. Hubby saw the ad on FB and sent to me that he will love it. |
for the higher end make up artists sef mummys make up don gulp 1/8th of the budget. You are right its the adult extras that add to the costs of our parties. @sambarry |
make I no lie I used to also used to think oyinbo( ok the men) were definitely better husbands. Now I know that Human beings are human beings anywhere. every society just has different sets of issues based on their belief/values and systems. |
naijababe:Ok will try to take them sometime My son would sooo love it. |
naijababe:That is so sad. I laugh when I see on NL that White men and women are saints. Oyinbo promiscuous dieeeee. So I kinda understand why marriage is not a a deterrent for that promiscuity. The only slight difference is they might not see anything wrong with divorcing when found out BUT even at that some of them still stay with philandering spouses. |
