Children will be children and as an egbon in my family I know you try to use your 'seniority' to chance your younger ones but I was quickly put straight by my parents.My parents taught me that I have a responsibility towards my younger ones to protect them, mentor them be there for them and in my case alot of times sacrifice for them.Seniority is not just about 'chancing'.

@OP It's a no brainer that the family should be in the same location as the higher earner (as the higher earners income will most likely buffer the family's cost of living) but in this case the higher earner does not even contribute that much to the family upkeep I think the family is better off together.Its the parties involved that have to look for a compromise.

Can be really annoying sonetimes esp on days when you are running low on food and the kids were going to have cereal for dinner while you and hubby are having toast and baked beans but I don't have the heart not to open the door I also will feel bad if I made the person feel unwelcome.

My hubby on the other hand has no qualms about continuing to watch his match even when we have elderly visitors (they are usually the few ppl who drop in unexpected).I shoot him dirty looks from where I am sitting and he does not even look at my face .. He would NEVER visit people without informing them I don't really do that too but he is much more rigid about it than I am.He feels it an intrusion of privacy like most or all of his family members.I am more laid back as I grew up in a home where people always dropped in at all times unannounced.

My brain will just be imagining all the sticky juice filled floors, cake crumbs, the plates, putting away the leftovers etc etc.I prefer tidying up then going to bed and laying in bed till whenever than going to bed then having to get up to tidy up which is what hubby prefers.

1. God's time is indeed the best. I didn't marry early, everytime a relationship I was in Crashed I would cry and even curse God, others seemed happy why was my case different. But now I look at my life and know if I had forced my way and married any of my exes I would have been miserable. I wouldn't have been able to continue God's work. Sometimes lack is to teach us empathy, to show us how to manage little, to teach us real sacrifice, if God gives you little and watches you manage it, stay within your means in little and find a way to bless others who have much less then God will trust you enough with plenty.
Sometimes heartbreak is to teach us lessons, to show us bad traits to look out for next time, to help us understand when others come to us with the same heartache and help us know what the right words are.
Death is to teach us the depth of pain, so when someone else looses a loved one we know just how it feels and dont go making vain statements like " it is not my portion " " you must have sinned and God is punishing you repent"
Most of all in 2014 I learned God can turn it around in just a minute. You may have known pain all your life but when God takes you through the fire and he has fully refined you it takes only a minute to turn it around fully restore you 200k folds. What your power and might would never have given you God will give you when its time.
The most important thing I learned this year was patience. Patience in the face of trouble, in the face of pain and in the face of lack. Knowing that when I do my part I can always trust God to come through and never let me down.
I also learned trust, trust even when others have hurt you. Even though am cautious and have learned to easily spot lies when I sense the truth I trust, before everyone was a liar till proven otherwise.
2014 is the year God restored me

Nothing wrong with him wanting to marry her and adopt her child but why the rush before she gives birth? Conception to delivery is less than 12 months and IMO that time frame is so short to have experienced heartbreak, be abandoned with chilld, meet someone else and marry them (my opinion).I know nothing is black and white but I even think rebound relationships need to be properly assessed before proceeding to marriage.

They only bring out things that no one else wanted to buy during the year Grrrrr

You too have caught on..I remember actually waking up at 4am to queue up for that nonsense never again.The place(Next esp)is filled with crap and our people are always not smiling in there .They don send me VIP slot invite so online shopping VIP that I am can actually shop the sale 3 days before people freeze themselves from the comfort of my couch from the 23rd.Not even buying anything sef just next year summer Clothes for the kids if there is anything half decent on there.
