FamilyRe: Do African Men Make The BEST Husbands And Fathers? by damiso(f): 12:16pm On Nov 29, 2014
Best or good husband/father is so subjective. Its an individual thing and cannot be adjudged collectively.

My Dad had an entirely different approach compared to my husband both approaches have pros and cons but I honestly can't say one is definitely better than the other.

i said anyone more than 10/12 isn't for me. size 10/12 is actually the border line. it now depends on the height. if she's shorter than average, the BMI might produce a horrendous calculation.

FamilyMust Your Spouse Be Your Best Friend? by damiso(op): 5:27pm On Nov 22, 2014
I always hear this statement and In a way it is one that I agree with.Being Friends with your spouse is one thing that sustains a marriage when the whole honeymoon phase passes

I just think phrases like 'if you have to invite your best friend to your wedding you are marrying the wrong person'(saw a meme with that on Instagram with zillions of likes ) is just beginning to take that cliche a bit too far.Of course you need to marry someone who is your friend but does that truly mean being married means you can't have other people who you hold dear?

I can't say I have a best friend per se and these days based on who I get to interact with the most yeah my husband could said to be my best friend. We talk alot, have similar interests, laugh together, make jokes tease and taunt each other etc etc.I guess life and family commitments has made it that way these days but I still have very dear friends (mostly female and 1 male me and hubby actually met through him) who are actually like my family. We don't get to see or talk as much as before(I am bad with keeping in touch embarassed but I try) but when we see its like we never lost touch. As at the time we got married I could say one in particular (we have been friends since we were children) and she had seen me through my best and worst times even more than my husband.Maybe not the case now years down the line but at the time on the friend scale preference she would have probably scored a few more points than hubby.

I know some people who actually have BFFs who are not their spouses but does that really mean they don't have happy marriages? Or what if you think your spouse is your best friend but they still have another friend who they can also bare their soul to? You know those friends who have been through everything together. Or what of spouses who try to break that best friend bond has with the other person forcefully?

I hear so many people say 'there are no real friends your children and your spouse are your friends' which could be true as indeed human beings can be terrible BUT can one really get all the social interaction one needs from just your spouse and children? I Know some people are ok with that but with some is that not too much of a burden to place on the spouse and even your children?

Your views are welcome everyone.
FamilyRe: Opinion: The Boy-child Should Not Be Domestically-inclined Primarily by damiso(f): 3:13pm On Nov 22, 2014
My Son is learning how to take care of himself by fire by force..He is just 2 and I already give him a brush to sweep food he spills off the table when he eats (obviously I have to sweep it again but I have my reasons grin) His sister is not his maid.

To be honest though, cleaning after yourself is more important to me than cooking in a man.I could never have coped with a man like my Dad in that dept ( thankfully my mum had a surplus of domestic help so she sef no fit complain). One can always buy food but having to always pick up boxers and wet towels every where grrrrrrr angry

And like CC said I can do most of these 'manly' chores if push comes to shove. .changing a light bulb is sooo easy I wonder why people make a big fuss about it undecided I would rather change a light bulb than cook moi moi from scratch grin grin

The other day hubby was away I bled the radiator in our room myself thank God for B&Q website.I used to wash cars, change the 'phase', put on the generator (not the key one) amongst other manly chores.
FamilyRe: House Maid Beat Young Child To Near Death In Uganda (video) by damiso(f):
The nanny is def not a normal human being..Poor baby embarassed embarassed

Very sickening video

Not everyone has the patience or propensity to care for very young children esp after probably having to handle other house chores as well

someone being a trained child care provider does not mean they are not wicked but I will rather pay the extra for my own peace of mind (plus nannycam of course).if not I stay with them myself till they are old enough to say what's happening

UPDATE!!!!

14:00pm - The diagnosis is out and the doctor says Hamed has "Liver Abscess". This is caused by an infection of the liver and he has been put on antibiotics in the hope that the infection will be cured.

The illness started about 3 months ago (according to Hamed) and hopefully, it has not gone beyond treatment.

The consultant mentioned that with the treatment he is getting, his urine will increase which is how the fluid accumulated in his belly will be passed out and hamed confirmed that he has been urinating frequently in the last couple of days.

Hopefully, there won't be a need to operate or have a transplant.

TEHN.
Thank God...
