You know as a teenager when you feel you would NEVER EVER be like your mum and you would be a 'cool understanding hip' mum This evening my daughter asked me 'mum why do you always add OLUWA(her full name) when you are talking in your not so happy voice' I laughed ehn cos it took me back to my childhood if my mum calls you by your full name you are in trouble, full name and Muslim name Haa that one is serious trouble, if it is then your full name Muslim name and SURNAME then you are dead I don dey become the woman small small be that o ![]() |

Alot of people have said alot but my own lil two kobo: know and understand your OWN spouse and relationship. Try not to model your marriage or relationship based on other people's relationships or experiences especially as we are all individuals.Even your parent's marriage (no matter how blissful or terrible) will not be the same as yours so know your spouse. What my husband sees as a big deal might be nothing to another man and what my husband sees as nothing might be a big deal to that other man.Ditto wives. |

Ideally (I know life Is not ideal sha) in a marriage it should be 'OUR' house. All this 'my' 'her' house things .'he'or 'she'might contribute the lion share to the property acquisition but it's meant to be 'our' house. That said, I really don't blame women who want to have their own property esp with the 'all men are polygamous crew'. |
EfemenaXY:Ok that's true will try them as well.i am very strict about sweets as well( I am forever chucking party bag contents in the bin ) but they look so pretty on the tree.My daughter decided to start handing them out at church today. that girl will soon give me out one day her kain giving spirit ehn. |

passionate88:I know its harder said than done though..I watched that Ugandan Nanny Video and I was it wondering what my reaction would have been if it was my child I am normally not prone to physical violence but my kids bring out one kain emotion in me so I get that your 'but then'That said we need to try to keep emotions in check by not reacting with our fists or lashing out all the time. |
passionate88:Nothing justifies assault... |
redcliff:Getting a separation. I am not a fan of threatening your spouse with divorce or separation but sometimes it is inevitable. Good that you reported her to her family and not yours. |
What she did was soo wrong on all levels..well done for having the self restraint not to retaliate and being the bigger person. I think you need to have a heart to heart Frank Mature Firm Talk with her.Tell her you will not tolerate assault from her and let her know you mean it. You have to nip that kind of behaviour in the bud ASAP. Is this the first time she has reacted in such a manner? ***Modified*** just read you have been married for 4 yrs and this is the second time. Let her know if it EVER EVER happens again you are gone. |
Awwww..kudos to him.Very easy way to get through boarding without all the palaver of folding and unfolding strollers. I was never able to master backing babies esp outdoors. Did it a couple of times indoors but i was always terrified they would fall off esp as both my babies were squeamish. |
Congrats Phema..God bless the lil one |
