VagileVictor: Incomplete statement to tarnish the image of a Pastor is very crucial. doctokwus: From allegations of APC paying voters 2k for their votes to this. This only shows the PDP is not strong on the ground,if voters can easily be swayed by a mere 2k to vote APC,clearly then Iyamu support was only online and not with the real voters. If also this allegation is true, then were are the acclaimed die hard PDP supporters that vowed to resist any rigging? PDP is just laying the excuse for it's defeat,it never really got genuine supporters ready to vote for it. The margin defeat of Iyamu may turn out to be embarrassing after all. Pastor Iyamu even said when he was interviewed earlier that Ambode and El Rufai are in benin but I was surprised when the commissioner of information lagos state said Ambode was in uk. Let's take things calmly and not expect too much from this politicians so we ain't heart broken. As for me and my family we sit down look |

The poster is a bloody liar, where did you get your story from? You just rush to Nairaland and post unverified stories. What do you stand to gain by denting the already dented image of the Nigeria Police Force. If you live in benin you should have heard on the radio that soldiers of a particular brigade beat up that guy. He was on rush hour on independent radio Go to this thread and be informed and delete this your lie lie thread https://www.nairaland.com/3334724/see-what-solders-did-manModerators close or delete this thread |
Politics › Re: See What Solders Did To A Man Because Of Buhari Arrival In Benin by dapachez: 8:48am On Sep 07, 2016 |
Better change that your topic. I listened to that guy on independent radio, the soldier that started the wahala with the guy was in mufti to be precise he wore shorts. The soldier was in a COMMERCIAL BUS,he came down from the commercial bus and accosted the guy anf latet called his other colleagues amongst whom there was a captain. Do you know how soldiers deal with civilians on a daily basis in benin? This has nothing to do with the President's visit ,go ask people that stay at isihor and environs what they suffer on a daily basis in the hands of this military men or is when they do their monthly drills and block the road from their s and t barracks to oluku harassing motorist and causing traffic gridlock for hours. A couple of months back an army officer threathened to smash my head in ubth just because after attended to him and I was with another patient, he asked a question and I told him to hold on while I finish with my current patient. He was so livid with anger, so just imagine if we were outside the hospital premises what would have been my fate? Majority of low rank soldiers misbehave a lot as if they don't know we are in a democracy. They flout the law when it suits them but do otherwise to bloody civilians. Was it not in this country in abuja two years ago that some Nigeria defence academy cadets beat up man at a recreational park for compliments he made about a female cadet? |

The side lanes has never been an issue but the drainage. I stayed at adolor college road in the late 80s and even Abel Guobadia the then inec chairman, former ambassador to Korea republic and former commissioner of education instead of doing some to ng about it moved to Gra. The drainage is always blocked and there was a time I fell into the drainage on my way from the market. |

handie: Even if Osagie Ize Iyamu eventually wins, there'll be a whole lot of legal wrangles and with our law courts talking from both sides of their mouth, he might just end up losing the governorship seat. Why do I have d feeling Sheriff was just planted by the APC to frustrate every PDP move? Remember that shortly before his election/selection/nomination as PDP chairman, there were stories about him returning to the APC. Why has he refused to engage in any peace talk? Take it or leave it, the APC currently has d best political brains in d country and using every avenue possible to frustrate a PDP rebirth is not beyond their capabilities. Who invited Sheriff to PDP.Was it not Fayoshe and Woke cos they needed his funds. Dumb move I must say. Along the line after they used his money and made him chairman, they now wanted to dump him. How does APC come in here or is remotely possible that PDP Deliberately brought in an Apc member to ridicule Apc and their plan failed? |

NextGovernor: Is it only that road. Inside New Benin, Ugbo road, Ekenwan road are federal road too abi?
The problem with Benin is no proper drainage system. Oshiomole collected 150 billion nairn as loan for erosion control and heavy drainage project. Today non of the project is up to 20% in progress. He worsten the whole case by digging abandon holes everywhere and those holes are collapsing. Oshiomole is a scam. where in new Benin gets flooded? |
Politics › Re: Rain Turns Road To "River" In Benin This Evening by dapachez: 12:20am On Jul 10, 2016 |
whizzler: Benin city is a peculiar town as regards rain, I know that area very well. For all just typing ignorantly or out of political disagreement with the state government, to its credit has two drains on that road. By the main carriage and by the service lane. That area is the lowest part of that catchment and so it's always flooded by water right from Ugbowo and adjoining streets and also from areas before Uselu share. The storm water project which is on going will conveniently take care of this problem as it's twin cell box culvert now at textile mill junction will go through Otote down to Adolo College road. Another twin cell box culvert will now take the water from this area through traditional ground Uselu to meet the culvert at Otote/Adolo College road. I know this cos I was fortunate to see the design of the stormwater project currently on going and it will be safe to say it is the biggest erosion control project in Nigeria presently. Benin is a big city and almost every street has drainage/erosion problems. The present stormwater project is taking of only two out of over twenty catchment areas. Let's not politicise everything ok well articulated. so much ignorance and sentimental bull crap on NL |

TonyeBarcanista: • Governor Oshiomhole country home of Iyamho. As it is now widely known, he is building an estate of gargantuan proportion, spread on over 93 acres of land., containing: an amphitheatre, a sixty-five bedroom mansion, sixteen outhouses, three separate man-made caves, a round-the-entire-perimeter artificial lake, an Olympic-size swimming pool, with a king-size fountain and Jacuzzi in the centre. What is the size of Samuel Ogbemudia stadium? What is the source of this Information?

Firefire: Only in my country Nigeria. Bros this aint a party affliated matter. It has been on since I can remember. These youth are daredevils. They can go to any length to extort money. Let me give you a typical scenario back then in 2005 my dad bought a plot of land at isihor in benin for 150,000 but ended up paying 300,000k for sttlement of the youths. He paid for foundation, for roofing, for fencing and for borehole. When he initially resisted they harassed the labourers by seizing their tools after they have mixed cement or even as far as destroying blocks. He had to do their bidding cos that is the norm( which ought not to be). There are even times when they have internal squabbles amongst themselves and go as far as killing one another all in the name of exco positions. Just 2 months back when I was fencing my compound, some of them came around to my house and demanded for 18k and after negotation I had to part with 12k else my fence would have come down after the initial settlement that had been done for development of my structure. This is now a cankerworm that has eaten deep into the fabrics of our society. Truth is some of this youth eat fat from the pocket of developers PC why |

I was driving to work this morning at about 7 am and behold I encoutered heavy traffic on both sides of the express road. Its so bad that you can't even reverse to where you are coming from, no vehicle is allowed passage as ther road is blocked with a tipper load of sand and a tanker( just hope the contents aint fuel). The protest is as a result of the students killed by the thunderstorm vehicle. Don't know how true but heard the other student died this morning

Bros you are so damn right. Atimes some of them with headfones on are not so conscious of their environment that some even walk on the road without ing precaution. Even on campus its worse as they move like snails even when they see vehicles approach, a typical route where they do this is bank road on campus. Drivers on the other hand should endevor to slow down when they approach such densely populated areas even though its on an express road. I just feel for the parents of the late student, after all the investment on her education with high hopes. Lord have mercy on her soul and grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss ionsman: R.I.P to the dead........
But the way those Uniben students cross that road is nauseating. Some of them cross the roads as if they are strolling in their garden . Sometimes when I drive past that place and see the attitude those students display,I shake my head in pity.
Because, when they get hit, they will be the ones to die.
P.S: Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying the drivers are saints, but the students are the main culprits in issues like this. |
