chiemmanuel: what is their stand when a female member wants to marry another Christian Never said they are violent, Their preaching is good, but those things they preach, do they practice it, they preach against idolatry, but most of them are fetish Jehovah's Witnesses do not engage in witchcraft, magic or the likes of such! (Deuteronomy 18:10-12, 1Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21) We liken all these accusations to the ones Jesus said his followers would face — Matthew 5:11, 10:25 |

Ken4Christ: If it doesn't exist, the Bible will not talk about it. There are 66 Scriptures in the Bible where the word hell is mentioned in the King James translation. Read them all and you will notice it's always mentioned with reference to suffering, sorrows and punishment of lost souls. You just pretend not to be aware of them. This is why I always say that the Jehovah Witness is an anti Christ organization. They only use Scriptures that appears to support their pre conceived opinions and ignore many more others that vividly contradicts them. This is spiritual fraud. Alright chief. |

For more information about Jehovah's Witnesses, their beliefs and practices, log on to jw.org and locate Frequently Asked Questions on the home page. Or use this link to access it easily. You'll get access to a number of articles explaining the Biblical beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses. https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/That's specifically what this thread is for, to address misconceptions about Jehovah's Witnesses. Some who already know the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses like rottennaija and his partner, still keep asking just so they can contend and argue. I didn't come here to start arguing ‘logically’ as some have made me do. I'll respond to only new questions from new people on the thread! Peace! |

Emusan: You really got him there!
You can see how he used style boycotted my post with lie of I don't want to argue with you because my two questions really held him down.
But see the person who claimed he doesn't want to argue dragging the thread to 4 pages now! Sense is actually very far from you, you know that right? First of all you guys said -> ‘I should answer questions logically’ Now, you're saying -> ‘I'm arguing for 4 pages’ ? You don't know what you want. I'm done with the questions of you, rottennaija and the other man. Next please! |

rottennaija: Does the bible forbid eating of human flesh for food? The Bible doesn't directly comment on the matter. But Jehovah said at Genesis 9:6 “Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed” So obviously a cannibal would have to kill someone (i.e shed the man's blood) before eating the human flesh. This is not condoned in God's law and is a serious sin. |

rottennaija: Does the bible forbid eating of human flesh for food? The Bible doesn't directly comment on the matter. But Jehovah said at Genesis 9:5 “Anyone shedding man’s blood, by man will his own blood be shed”Which can apply in another sense of someone eating human flesh after he's killed the person. |

rottennaija: Don't guess. Are you not following the example of first century Christians again? Can you point to the bible where the first century Christians celebrate Christmas? Can you point to the bible where infants are baptizes?
Don't guess. Or are you not following the bible anymore? Anybody who has heard and understood meaning of basic Bible truths can get baptized. There is no age limit but babies can't get baptized as disciples of Jesus because they can't understand what it takes. It's that simple. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Questions About Jehovah's Witnesses by DappaD(op): 12:31pm On Aug 02, 2020 |
rottennaija: So Jesus didn't baptise as an infant, despite all his wisdom. Okay. So I guess every other person in the Bible had to get to age 30years before becoming baptized? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Questions About Jehovah's Witnesses by DappaD(op): 12:27pm On Aug 02, 2020 |
rottennaija: Does taking blood through the mouth and transfusion serve the same purpose?
Did the bible forbid blood transfusion or blood eating? The Bible says ‘abstain from blood’ ! — Acts 15:28,29 Let's assume blood transfusions existed in ancient times, do you think a first century Christian after listening to God's law, would go against it to take blood into his system? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Questions About Jehovah's Witnesses by DappaD(op): 12:25pm On Aug 02, 2020 |
rottennaija: Jesus baptized at what age? He got baptized at approximately 30years. This was to fulfill Daniel's prophecy for Messiah to appear after 69weeks(483years) in the year 29C.E (Daniel 9:24-26) |

rottennaija: 3. Consider a man who is told by his doctors that he must abstain from meat. Would he be obedient if he quit eating meat, but accepted a kidney transplant?”
4. Is eating meat same as accepting organ transplant?
Is the above are wrong use of logic, is eating blood (forbidden in the bible) and taking blood transfusion the same thing?
If the doctor ask a man to abstain from alcohol, will it then be accepted to take it through injection?
Does Blood save as food to the body? I see you asking questions I've already answered. Carry on. Blood can taken through mouth or through transfusion for sustenance. And that should be avoided by true Christians! (Acts 15:28,29) The same example can be applied in the case of one whose doctor said he should refrain from alcohol. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Questions About Jehovah's Witnesses by DappaD(op): 12:19pm On Aug 02, 2020 |
rottennaija: Are they scriptural examples of infant baptism? There are not. There are scriptural examples of those who heard the truth and got baptized. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Questions About Jehovah's Witnesses by DappaD(op): 11:49am On Aug 02, 2020 |
rottennaija: So the questions below do not stir up thoughts?
1. Is there any scriptural precedence for the baptism of infant?
2. Is there a biblical precedence for it? Can a child of 10 be given drivers licence or allowed to Marry or pay tax even if they understand what is required?
3. Consider a man who is told by his doctors that he must abstain from meat. Would he be obedient if he quit eating meat, but accepted a kidney transplant?”
4. Is eating meat same as accepting organ transplant?
5. It is a well know fact that the Bible does not forbid blood transfusion but forbids the eating of blood. Now, where does the bible forbid the transfusion of blood fractions but allows the transfusion of haemoglobin? 1. The Bible says that people who got baptized were ‘hearing and receiving words’ with understanding. Baptism was for those ‘hearing the word’ , meaning it is for those who have listened and come to understand what the Scriptures are saying.(Acts 2:41) Something that a young person can do. A baby cannot listen and get the sense of what's being taught. 2. Does not to relate to your question. Wrong use of logic. I want to believe that when you were young at 10,11 you were enrolled in school and wrote exams. 3. Again, wrong use of logic. If the person eats the said organ raw or cooked, does that mean it would serve its purpose in the body or just get digested? ***This reply doesn't support cannibalism 4. No it is not, because the organ is an attachment in the body not to serve as food or nourishment and so it doesn't apply to the blood scenario. 5. I've answered this question regarding blood fractions in previous pages. |

achorladey: Let me add one to this, since blood transfusion is synonymous with eating of blood, if A man is DYING of STARVATION, can blood transfusion solve the ISSUE? Logic can only be applied in the right sense. Anything further from that would be just distorting what is clearly stated. |

"Are you aware that there are many examples of God's servants breaking God's laws in certain circumstances?"
And I clearly mentioned that this isn't in respect to imperfection but "rooms created by God himself so that his laws can be broken under certain circumstances?" Jehovah God has standards which we can find in the Bible. He doesn't go against his standards! |
