iyimide:I wanted to ask you a question if you don't mind. You are and was working as a medical doctor in Nigeria before relocation right (health related field)? Do you have plans of evaluating your documents over there to seek for white collar job (That is, after learning the language and working for sometime in blue collar job)? |
jwillng:I remember following this thread and seeing people requesting for the info, but I think up till now, none was given bro. All the best in your sojourn and the escape you made then was worth it considering how things are going on in Nigeria. Peace. |
There is so much wisdom in your comment and analysis. Terrorist claimed downing the helicopter but Nigerian government denied it repeatedly. At same time frame, a group denied the attack on police headquarters but Nigerian government labelled them a terrorist group while insisting that, they are the one who attacked the headquarter (less than 24 hours after it happened) Abeg, which script is the Nigerian security agencies playing? I am not really understanding them again |
Orubebe01: ![]() Abeg, what does it mean? |
Fake page deleted. Far better that way. |
buchai:It is really bad situation the guy found himself in. Thanks for the advice by the way. |
castrogee:That, bro is a tall order and would rather see another war happening than for the current regime to grant them that request (especially, with the body language and utterances of the president). |
Na wah, East is burning o. Make this Unknown gumen calm down. Their message has been passed to the government loud and clear (I think, dismantling of all checkpoint is what they actually needed). |
![]() 4: .... "No, sir," answered the young man, "he came in to buy sanitary napkins for his wife and I convinced him that since he will be bored with his wife being in period - fishing is the best remedy for boredom." |
My comment based on part of this article.... Re: Suzan said if she would be able to get a job in Nigeria where she would be able to earn N500,000 a month, she would definitely return home. Susan is not ready to return to Nigeria. There are millions of Nigerians working for less than 10 percent of that stated amount by her. Re: There is also the case of one Peter who travelled to the United Kingdom. At a point that things were getting difficult for him, he approached his friend who gave him his driver’s licence which he used to apply for a job in a supermarket. Though very wrong, but still, we need to acknowledge that Peter's friend has a good heart. Good people with good heart has no filter. |
Alawaxbimbex:What of people like us that have not eaten any Easter food but only took bread and water? |
Of all the things you stated on the first part of your thread, the issue of Husbands being the head of the family has been as old as creation and it is absolutely true. If you have any problem with that, you should go and question God since in the garden of Eden, he specifically gave Eve to Adam and instructed Adam to take care of her. . The other statements are subjective with some outrightly bad by the way. |
At OP, the said, Picture speaks louder than words. I do hope this picture will give you the answers you need. All the same, don't quit your job but look for a nice lady you could be paying monthly salary to look after your mum (probably the lady should be in same village with your mum and comes from a good home. Who knows, you might end up wifying her.... I mean marrying her as a wife.) CC lecturer50

oyeb15:Most Arab speaking countries are like that. I heard that (allegedly), blacks are considered as descendants of slaves while they are masters and some would go at length to quote Qurann verses to back it up. Most would rather carry out honour killing of their daughters than for her to marry a black man irrespective of his status. |
gamaliel9:Hmmmm, are you sure? But I heard, most French speaking countries are places of relaxation and enjoyment unlike English speaking countries where people are hustling always and are on the move. Anyway, would have loved to visit Ivory Coast, but French is the barrier. I can't imagine myself struggling to communicate in French and have tried to learn the language but it is not working. |
Akalia:Well, I don't know if she was a tyrant or not but, the documentary was solely on her beauty and tragic death. How I wish, discovery Channel has a place where someone can search for their previous documentary which they aired past few years. Their documentary was objective and quote various sources with explanations by scholars. Thanks for the little exposition on her by the way. |
It has nothing to do with the age thing per say (to the guy in question) but to his parents, relatives and siblings who will definitely kick against it when the issue will be raised. Remember, in most tradition, you don't marry only the man, you marry into his extended family also. So in essence, don't blame him and like someone said, just schedule a meeting in a restaurant and let him know you understand and would still prefer his friendship rather than romantic one (if you still want). If he is as matured and disciplined as you said, he will definitely understand and buy into your idea. CC OP EmGeee |
arantess:I understand where you are coming from and I think, it was part of their culture (kinda of to preserve their blood line rather than taint it with a peasant blood through marriage). Same way the Jews, and part of Muslim peoples marries within their extended families (cousins marrying cousins etc). Even, British royalty would never allow their daughters to marry a peasant (including Megan and Harry that has been talking trash about royalty and how it is choking them). Modified*** I saw your last statement. Maybe it was a mixup on my side.... Nefetari and nefertiti. |
FiverrTutor:A small documentary I watched on Discovery Channel far back (Of course, didn't finish watching the program before NEPA did their usual thing). How she was killed due to her beauty and power politics in the Egyptian Royal House. Anyway, if you have information on her, you can drop on it. I searched online few years ago, but didn't come across much information on her due to limited knowledge about her being publicly available. |
femi4:We are saying the same thing. Hope you saw the twitter page about the man complaining that the wife has 100k in her account but still expecting him to pay their children school fees and his debt? Does that mean, the man is not making any effort? |
Not cool. Valley of the Kings is more suitable for them since it shows royalty rather than moving them to a museum as if they are object of entertainment for the growing masses. How would the president feel, if his father and grandparents are excavated from where they are buried and displayed in the museum? Anyway, Explorer boss, try and do little writeup on this two great women: Cleopatra (the last emperor of Egypt) Queen Nefetiti (the unknown most beautiful Queen ever to come out of Egypt). |
Some women up on this thread are claiming they support their husbands just because they pay one or two term school fees while convinently avoiding the part that she said She transferred 90% of her salary to her husband. When you start doing that, maybe you can comfortably have a say in the discussion. |
He didn't marry a responsibility, he married a helper and he should be feeling more relaxed than when he was single. This is the singular reason to know a woman with a working brain. She summarised the whole write up with this two statement. |
Pink has always been a colour associated with the LBGTH movement but this lady own is getting out of hand. Either she is actively seeking attention (which is not bad) or she is codedly telling the world were her pendulum swings to irrespective of her affairs that are in public domain. |
Mentally unstable women everywhere you turn to. What prevented her from cheating herself instead of these action? |
HacheNoire:Make Putin catch you first, he will simply nuke you ![]() |
naija4life247:I don't know if your statement is true or not, but the dead should be allowed to stay dead. There is no need trying to say ill of them just because they cannot defend themselves again. Moreover, the medical bill payment, though noble is not really that big to warrant all these ill conceived article. |
Shameless article. Is it a bad thing to allow the dead to rest? Even, in proper youruba culture, talking ill of the dead is wrong and very bad abi na lie? |
Wilson212:Yeah, really not a good thing to beg. Leaving the shores of your country to beg in another man's country is uncalled for. Tomorrow, if they start disrespecting those that comes from that country, people would not be able to know that it was due to the actions of the initial set of people who stepped foot into that city and turn to beggers (knowing fully well they are able bodied men and never disabled). |
To me, wearing ring is necessary irrespective of what you believe. To most men and women, it helps them to avoid those already in committed relationships (marriage inclusive) and go for those only free from any. It also afford the woman some level of respect among the guys and makes the man to look bit responsible (with nice cloth complementing it ofcourse). |
Zendmann1:Thanks, though I am not in the 'States' but the advise is still valuable. |
