BCJAY: Mine was 2years ago at island maternity. I was carrying twins, i got to d labour room and the nurses and midwives cared less. I shouted but no gud response only 4 a student doctor to be asking me how many abortions have you done? He stood there looking at me when i pushed and pushed one of d girls came out, imagine d doctor ran out of d labour room shouting d baby is coming. The midwife came carried d baby away and left me with one baby inside me and the placenta, it was when d doctor on duty came in and ask but you said dis lady has put to bed? They said yes, he took my file and went tru it he then told them it remains one inside. He now took over and passed oxygen into my nose and a drip into my body, he then gave me a serious tire cos d other girl is breech. My people i went tru hell but with God's help and d doctor i delivered d girls without cs but it was a bitter experience i don't like to remember.

I can only imagine what the poor woman was going through. I was depressed when I had my first child. I couldn't tell anyone about it I just suffered in silence. I cried and cried, it made me hate the early days of marriage. I thank God I didn't get to the stage of suicide. We need to educate women of post partum depression in this country and have psychologists and therapists to help them. This is a serious problem.

My nairalanders I got to share this gist with y'all. I ran into this girl as gisted above and karma has caught up with her. Her Husband chased her out with her lil baby cos he is suspicious of her. He saw text messages and calls on her phone. So she has a 1 yr old living with her sister and out of her marriage in about 1 yr of marriage . I thot I would be happy when she suffers but funny, I feel bad for her. She's skinny and obviously suffering. And there I was giving her advice on how to fix things with her man . It is good you are acting all protective of ur sister and you can see thru this guys falsehoods. But bear in mind ur sister is a naive 18yr old. You can truly force anybody to do want you want them to do. Even if you exercise what ever power you have to stop her from seeing him, you won't be with her 24hrs, and you do not have 100% access to her phone
All you can do really is advice her gently, no yelling please, and then try and expose him for who he is. Be polite to him, find out his name, ask questions and you will decode what he really does and then let ur sister know the truth. But if you want to yell and push him out, it would only make her want him more. To my advice, I was once a love struck teenager too.

So I'm thinking of taking a trip to Obudu and there are some questions I have. First is there a flight to Obudu from Calabar and how much does it cost? Second, can I stay at a hotel outside the Obudu Resort and still have access to the Resort facilities like the cable car, monkeys, trail and so on or are they just for guest? Using wakanow is like booking on the GDS. it has happened to me that I got diff fares within 2hrs of checking fares. One you book and start cat walking to bank to make payment, the fare is subject to change without notice. wake up by 7am ( I am not a morning person at all) prepare school lunch while my oga bathes and dresses the kids f or school. They r done by 7:40 . eat cereal and head to school by 8am. I get ready and leave by 9 with my oga. Leave my office by 1:30 to pick them from school or arrange to get them delivered to Grandma's. Leave work @ 7PM pick them up, check homework and then head home. Get in by 8 and we catch up and watch TV. 9pm is bedtime for the kids and oga and I stay up till late.

Merkki: A woman in my church was having a discussion with me. She is a full housewife. Her husband won't let her do anything not even baking for sale or selling of petty items.

To the extent that she gets her offering money from her husband every Sunday. No savings. No cash in hand. She has three kids and she can't even buy them petty things when they make demands e.g. sweets, chocolates, etc.

The guy does not understand the trauma of pregnancy. I just relocated to lagos from ABJ. can someone please provide advise on where to find the essentials for babies and the cost. i.e diapers,toys, food, car seat , stroller, clothes , etc. i was thinking of going online to Jumia or Konga for that stuff. does anyone know if those companies offer fair prices on their baby goods. My thought is to try them and see but if the markets are beter.

Oh poor you. If you want good price, you have to go to the market. Go to Lagos Island, just park beside the Zenith bank in Marina and waka into the market . You will see plenty plenty baby things but be sure to go with a list or you will buy things you don't need. Welcome to parenthood my brother, it's not easy.

Speaking as a mother, I know that you can not let. Children Always have their way. It gives them a sense of entitlement which does not exist in the real world. I remember as a child my. Mum refusing to let me have chocolates when the freezer was stuffed full and her only reason being "I don't want to spoil you"! EXASPERATING!!! I swore I would not do the same but now, I find myself doing same to my daughter. She wants to drink ribena every miniute. I know I have indulged her to some extent cos honestly I hate to hear her cry. And she has exploited it like no mans business. She doesn't do what I ask her to do, she is stubborn and obstinate. Now I have learnt to ignore her when I feel she has had enuough. To smack her when she is stubborn and to give her a time out in her room when she starts screaming. So my love, you can "spoil" your kids, but don't let them take it for granted.
My sister told me the story of a little boy who's parents took him abroad at the end of every term for holidays. One year, the family was bumped to 1st class from economy class as per frequent fliers! The little boy went back to school and started boasting to all little friends that he no longer flies economy class just first class.
