Christianity EtcRe: Was The Sacrifice Of Jesus On The Cross That Big A Deal? by Daresh(f): 5:09pm On Apr 23, 2013
ifeness: Look at the 10 commandment ,does that look like what a loving good will impose on his creatures?

Love is non judgmental , .... bible god is the opposite of love, he gets angry, jealous, needs worship, money .......sacrificed his baby( worse than hitler)
We are not on the same line here. See the Old Testament laws differ greatly from the New Testament. You see all those old laws, they were to guide the naughty ppl of Israel.those folks no dey hear word. All those laws were put in place to guide them from all the sin in the world. But when Jesus came, he brought 1 law to cover all the laws and commandments, and that law is LOVE. When you love ur bro and love God all those commandments are easily followed. The doesn't need money, he wants you to worship him cos that's y he created you. He sacrificed his baby cos he loves you. He let his baby die so you can come to him. So you Ifeness can have the freedom and the peace in your heart without all those laws weighing you down. God loves you sweetie.

adoniza: Is that not ritual? Which the so called "Word of God" also condamn
The word of God never condemned rituals. Since the days of Abraham there have bn sacrifices to God. His issue is with rituals and sacrifices to other gods. He is a jealous God and you must worship him alone.
The wages of sin is death. And Jesus died. And some posters here said he did not commit sin? How? And he died? I am really confused huh
He died for our sin. Yours and mine. Understand that he was pure, without sin, the ultimate sacrificial lamb. Dying for our sins so we can be free of the bondage. That law that said you will die for your sins got amended. The Jesus amendment

ifeness: No, you have been programmed to believe that, you are deeply rooted in the matrix.
No sweetie. I used to see going to church as a burden, but then I met a preacher that explained God's love in the simplest of terms. I yearn to to ear more of God's love. It is so refreshing.

ifeness: Can the blood of jesus get you a job,or put food on your table?

Blood? Is that like a ritual or something? Is it ok to call you a carnibal?
You can if u want to. After all I eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus as he directed me to, to wash me clean of sin
wink

ifeness: Imao! If he died for you and all debts have been paid, why do you still go to church, why pay tithes and other religious craps! Since you paid your debt, why are you still in the bondage of forceful weekly worship to a sky entity?
Going to church is not bondage or paying a debt. It is thanksgiving something I want to do to praise and honor my father. No one forces me to go to church and give offering, my offering is my thanks t God, my church going is my fellowship with brethren to renew my faith and love of God. Please don't be angry if I love Jesus, he's been good to me. No matter how many times I fall and fail him he still loves me and wants to be in my life. That's love.

bolaino: one thing I know is that christians can never be able to give a reasonable explanation for the alleged death of their savior, cos like they claim jesus was the sacrificial lamb who paid a price to redeem mankind,

but that brings a whole new perspective to the whole story, who was the price paid to? Was it the devil? Or he paid the price to himself? If the price was paid to the devil that goes to show that the devil is more powerful than God/jesus, if the price was paid to God/jesus then that also goes to show us how blood thirsty he is, either way this story is all bull.shyte,
Our Bible says the wages of sin is death. It is God's word and it cannot change not even for his son's sake. If you remember in the Old Testament, they used to sacrifice animals to wash away their sins as it is clearly written that one blood can wash away the sin of man. Jesus became the ultimate sacrificial lamb and his blood washed away all of our sins. So now instead of a sacrifice, we call on the blood of Jesus to wash us clean.
Now I don't know why we need blood to wash away our sin but if God says so then it's good enough for me. The price of Jesus blood was paid to God the father. Thank you Jesus.

Everyone has their belief and I believe what he did was a big deal. It is because of what he did that you write this freely without getting struck down from heaven. He loves me without knowing me and wants me to live with him in heaven. So yes it is a big deal for me, Thank you Jesus, for dying so I might live.
RomanceRe: Marriage Is Not Guaranty Of Happiness by Daresh(f): 1:26pm On Apr 23, 2013
dederocs: My dear beautiful African Nigerian women-live your life to the full.
Never be pressured into marriage or into marrying who you do not like or love.
Feel free to use that man to step up,you are not obligated to get married to him.
Remember at 30 you are fresh, explore yourself, set up a business or find a new hobby
At 40,if you have a kid, spend your time nursing the kid-forget about the talk about a kid with no father-dis and dat.most kids are ending up in broken homes and worse off.most kids go through the torture of watching their parents enact world war3 everyday...build your investments and get a good calm lover to satisfy your emotional cravings.
At 50 live life to the full, take trips and experience the world.
Never settle for less.A man and a woman are same to me,you have the power.live your life.
This deserves more than like, an LOVE be this! Please as the OP said, ignore what ppl say, don't marry for other ppl, only if it makes you happy. Marriage is to enjoyed not endured.

Sweetie it is women I blame for their plight. We believe we must marry and are willing to it all manner of bullshit just to claim married woman. See I'm married and I don't do half of the things u listed. I have a cleaner that cleans the house for me, I have a washer, my husband and I share work. YES we do. When he said to me what his foolish friends said to him " when I woman gets married she forgets her husband and only cares for kids" , I told him straight up, am I a machine? So after all this work while u sit and watch tv you still expect me to have time for you? If you want me to to care of u then help me to care of them and then I won't be too tired. After he saw that was it ol boy buckled up. Now he gets them ready for school while I make lunch. He cleans up when I'm too tired. The only thing he doesn't do is cook cos Walahi he will burn my house down. I'm so not stressed and I thank God for that

In essence women don't sell ur selves short. I'm not scared to be alone. My motto is I'd rather be alone than unhappy.
FamilyRe: Dealing With The Pressures From Married Men by Daresh(f): 10:33pm On Apr 21, 2013
then you shouldnt be tripping over married men who you say are disturbing you.

womanizing nigerian men [dont know about others] typically do not waste their time if they feel a woman isnt going to respond to their advances. They size you up first, before they go in for the kill.

so, if married men are chasing you round the clock on nl or elsewhere, there's likely to have been a green light from your end, in some way.

assuming there was none, then i think a simple ignore mode would suffice, if no sounds too rude.
That is a bloody big lie!!! This one married man followed me ehn, at first I was nicely telling him no, it degenerated to insult yet that was not enough for him. Will u believe that now, 10years after we met, the guy has come bk again and is following me on twitter after I deleted his FB request? I mean guy you never tire?

There is always quarrel whenever things are not done her way cos she want to be in control.
Hi Okon, I read with a heavy heart cos I know how painful marital problems are. Does your wife work? Does she have other things occupying her mind? I suspect she doesn't cos if she did she won't have time to nag you. Find out what she wants to get involved with even if its charity work. Find a daycare for your baby and let her get busy with the outside world. She doesn't want divorce she just wants to be happy. Take her on a vacation, just 2 of you, no outsiders not even kids, have fun and let her talk to you. Remember no yelling, she is insecure and needs you so be her rock and tell her you love her.

Vision2017: Delta shouldn't make the list. Truth be told, there are only 2 major cities in Delta and these are Asaba the state capital and Warri. Other glorified towns cum cities are only but a mere shadow of what a city should be. Delta is mostly beclouded by thick bushes and forest virtually everywhere. Nothing is happening in Delta and I can't help but wonder why Delta made your list of the most developed state in Nigeria. Delta remains a dungeon where wild animals thrives

vicoson: I took her to their people in January and lodged complaints to her father. All her in-laws were around. They all leapt to her defence and faulted the way I presented the matter that I was too blunt. The complaints were:
1. She doesn't respect me
2. She is not submissive
3. She is lazy and the house is always messy
4. She is rebellious.
My father-in-law said he was so disappointed for me to come complaining so early and a lot of other things. I grew upset and told them to keep their daughter and left. She was there for a week and people prevaied on me to bring her back. The church stepped in and ordered her to come back to my house. I've not heard from her people since then and i've refused to go see them.
Mbaise people are the worst kind of ppl to get involved with. Dont get me started on those people.
FamilyRe: How Can I Continue To Love My Wife by Daresh(f): 11:26am On Apr 15, 2013
I agree with deohighlander. AWhy would you marry someone who is so openly promiscous and expect respect. It is not by force to marry and from what you say it is apparent you did her d favour. Are you even sure those kids are yours? How could you even marry an Mbaise woman. NNa your problems are many so goodluck!

LEvuls: I am from a family of six(6) and the also the first son of my family.it happens that we lost our dad at a very tender age..then i was 8yrs and in primary six.mum is a civil servant and she has single handedly train four out of the six as graduates..but it happens that am the only one who has gotten a meaningful job.
Then other three..one stayin with me why hurting for a job..the second teaching in a secondary school while the last but not the least is about completing her NYSC.
The problem am having is that i spend almost 60% of my hard earn money taking care of them and family isues with little to save for the future. October i will turn 26...and i planned marrying early atleast before 28 but with the way everything is going in the family..seems the whole family burden is on me..dont realy know what to do, dont want them to see me as not willing to help them again or being selfish with my personal plans in life.
someone please talk to me in the way i will easily understand.
Ok so I know you want to be a good brother but let me give you some advice. You need to get your siblings to work. Even those that are still in school, get them to do some kind of work, selling recharge cards, part time waiter or some kind of job. Even the one looking for work, let him do something to make some money. If they totaally depend on you to provide for them I promise you it will never end. When you have someone taking care of you, paying your rent and fotting ur bills you are unmotivated to work hard. I'm speaking from a friends experience. Her husband has bn taking care of his 8 siblings and parents. He is in his 40's now with no savings and not 1 of his siblings has a sensible job. They r in their 30's and still asking him to pay their rent(because his wife kicked them out of her house). I'm just saying, it;s noble to care for them, but you must push them out of the nest. Akshow: My dear there are jus two tribe of Men in marriage:. The good and the bad Men. Being a good husband has nothin to do with your tribe. Beside pointin out three instances is not enough to make a general conclusion. Again, What makes you think the major reason for the break up is the man's fault? Could.nt it have been the other way round? Suffice to say Lets pray that we marry the right person. Tribe has nothin to do wit it. I could point out uncountable number of yoruba Men married to other tribe and their marriage has stand the test of time So What are we saying?
I totally agree. I'm Igbo and I have met some fantastic Yoruba husbands that are so loving and caring. On the other hand I have met some a**holes not fit to be anyone's husband or father in both tribes. Please leaving tribe out of this one some men are just bad.

And if you notice a Nigerian wrote the article and people in any business reserve the right to take or reject your business especially if they have proof of fraudilant activities. Please do not come we do not need anything from you.
Your attitude is terrible. We shd band together and find ways to move ourselves together instead of hating. Sweetie you are not defending your country, you are hating on others. I wont be coming to SA again you can be sure of that, I will take my hard earned cash elsewhere on holiday.

chief batiatus: The most unfortunate thing about all this is that Igbo boys are in south africa, europe, america busy spoiling our collective name and yet because we are from the same country I get to be given the same name as them. Am from the middle belt and none of my tribe has ever involved in criminality abroad but yet because of Ibos who can't stay in their homes I get called a criminal even before I have the chance to defend myself.
As Ibo it is permitted to go abroad with just a school cert to hussle. Even when at that level you hardly have enough experience or knowledge of how the world works. Yorubas also have their own but you cannot compare them to Ibos in destructive capability. Ibos won't u ask yourselves questions? U and achebe keep saying people hate u in nija, funny enough u also hated in europe, in malaysia (last week 2 ibos kidnapped a japanese there), in singapore, US, everywhere. So people jus hate u people because they aren't as fine as you abi? Payment time is coming oh!
Haba this is terrible o. so you dont want to be discriminated against as a Nigerian yet you discriminate against all Igbos? Im Igbo and I have never conned, defrauded of done drugs. Why am I lumped in with other Igbos and u with other Nigerians?

And yes I blame you people for the high levels of crime in SA becouse before you were allowed to come in here with drugs and all your evil scams to make money crime was not at this level. Fact is we might have high levels of reported hiv/ aids levels but it started somewhere else in Africa not in SA since we allowed your likes in, SA has had to bear with such ills. And anyway why do you have to use hiv for any discussions about SA when Nigerian stats is unknown. Him who lough last laough best! Word.
Why are you spewing so much hate? I thot we were all one? Na wah. Well its nice to know what your ppl think about us. Time to cross Cape Town off my holiday list b4 someone there attacks me for raising crime rate in SA.
