FamilyRe: Update; I Am 31 And getting married soon by Daresh(f): 11:53pm On Jun 02, 2013
I've used this story b4 on NL and I'll use it again. My sister got married at 42 to the most amazing 40 yr old in the world. I'm 14 yrs younger than her and I got married and had 2 kids b4 her but it never stopped her smiling and happy. I didn't think she would get married but she did and we all love her husband. If your family is stressing you, then move out. You can cut down on ur clubbing so you don't get the rep of a club girl. But more importantly just live your life and don't be desperate or you will end up with a wife beating bastard.
FamilyRe: To Experience Mum In The House by Daresh(f): 2:29pm On Jun 02, 2013
My pregnancy was relatively easy and I didn't throw up even once. However I felt sick, irritable, had cravings and a terrible rush of hormones that made me hate everyone especially my dear husband. I didn't have the smell thing though. I remember picking out perfumes and the shop attendants we're staring at me and wondering why the smells didn't bug me cheesy

PoliticsRe: Women & Juvenile Boko-Haram Suspects Released by Daresh(f): 7:44am On Jun 01, 2013
okosodo: Releasing terrorists wether 5 years old is not the best
Sometimes you have to do things you don't want to do. The aim is not to alienate the communities by taking away their members but to show them you are on their side. I sometimes worry about the brutality of these soldiers because when you rape a mans wife or beat up his children, the chances of him wanting to get back at you are high and the best way to do it is to join your enemy. That's how Boko Haram recruits more ppl. I think it's the right step though.
FamilyRe: Married Folks What Kind Of Contraceptive Do You Use? by Daresh(f): 10:56pm On May 30, 2013

Nairaland GeneralRe: Does Flogging Have A Place In Modern Nigerian Society? by Daresh(f): 6:46pm On May 25, 2013
I do not believe in flogging children. It doesn't work. It is better to take away something they really love, or punish them in a more painful manner other than flogging. I just don't agree with it.
If anyone wants to take a survey of how much people from other zones are entering SW, just stay at Iwo road bridge in Ibadan for 5minutes, you will shiver at the amount of "the young, benue link, edo line, imo transport company, chukwudi express, nassara link, Akwa ibom express, delta line" busses passing or parking everyday. I wonder if people are still left in those places they are coming from. Gosh embarassed
There are many people left ther. The fact they are coming to Lagos doesn't mean they live in Lagos. Please stop being so negative, abi did your own people not come to Lagos too?

biolabee: Your mum was fortunate and that does not mean that is the prescribed route

Someone else may try it and lose the marriage
I did not say my mum, I said my mother in law. My husbands mother. She does not take nonsense and who born you to kick her out of her own house? I give that woman hand cos she doesn't take nonsense from any fool trying to mess her or her family up. I can't do what she does, but I'm sure she will do the beating up of any fool for me. grin
FamilyRe: Her Sister Inlaw Caused Problem In Her Family by Daresh(f): 12:47pm On May 21, 2013
Hmmmmnnn huh In this one I trust my husband. No one can try to talk nonsense about his wife to him, he will just throw the bagger out of his house. See tell ur sister to do my mother in laws style. She told me that when her own sister in law came to house to try rubbish she BEAT the bejesus out of her, stripped her NAKED and kicked her out of her house. No body from that family tried her again. Why will you bring your unhappiness and negativity into my home. God punish her. That your sisters husband is a stupid fool. How can you gang up against ur wife? He prolly has a gf or someone else he wants to bring in as a new wife angry

PoliticsRe: Residents Flee After Air-Raids On Boko-Haram by Daresh(f): 9:46pm On May 18, 2013
BAMILASSA: THE GOVERNMENT TACTICS AND STRATEGIES ARE ALREADY KNOWN;

1. CONVERTING THE CURRENT SECTARIAN UPROAR TO A FULL BLOWN CIVIL WAR, WITH THE WAR FRONT AT THE NORTH DOORS, KILLING BOTH OUR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY LEADERS E.G EMIRS, TOP POLITICIANS AND UNIFORM MEN OF NORTHERN ORIGIN, IN A BID TO TOTALLY WEAKEN THE REGION SO AS TO EITHER CONTINUE THEIR DEVILISH RULE AGENDA OR SIMPLY DIVIDE THE COUNTRY.

THIS IS A VERY GOOD STRATEGY INDEED,(courtesy Devil MENTOR) IT WORKS IN MANY INSTANCES E.G SYRIA. BUT ALAS, IT WOULD NEVER WORK IN NIGERIA.
B/COS;
THE BRAVE NORTHERN YOUTH IN THE MILITARY WOULD NEVER TOLERATE OR ALLOW THIS.
THE NORTH HAS GOOD FRIENDS( ALIAS) THAT WOULD STAND BY NORTH FOR SURE.
AS USUAL THE YORUBAS WOULD ISOLATE THEMSELVES, LEAVING, ND/IGBOS/MIDDLE BELTANS TO FACE NORTH IF THE PLAN BACKFIRES !

THE STRATEGY FURTHER ENTAILS WIDER S.O.E TO INFLICT MORE DAMAGES, MORE CASUALTIES , BLACKMAIL, ASSASSINATION AND MORE....

ALTHOUGH, THE TACTICS WAS ON FINAL STAGES, NIGERIA IS GODS OWN AS SAID BY MANY WOULD ONCE AGAIN SURVIVE THIS PLOT, THIS AGENDA IS BOUND TO FAIL, B/COS OF ILL EXECUTION OF THE DETAILS ENSHRINED.

LONG LIVE NORTH, LONG LIVE NIGERIA, LONG LIVE FREE AFRICA!
I smh for you.
RomanceRe: Do You Love Public Display Of Affection When You're With Your Lover? by Daresh(f): 12:33am On May 18, 2013
Men it was recently brought to my attention that I am over touchy touchy and feely feely in public with my Oga. I didn't even notice that I did it a lot until friends pointed it out to me. He set is used to it and doesn't notice anymore that I do it. So I guess PDA is good for both of us.
FamilyRe: Will You Wash Your Husband's Cloths? by Daresh(f): 11:53pm On May 17, 2013
okwutency: your idea was quite excellent but they also said that even if you buy machine, who will iron it, that they don't have such energy.
Egba mi o! Why do men like to think they married slaves? I have my washer and my husband irons his clothes. He irons mine and the children's clothes. I cook his food. It's a partnership bubba. Stop looking at woman as ur slave.
FamilyRe: Does Your Husband Help With The Child At Night? by Daresh(f): 9:51pm On May 17, 2013
Oh yes he helped a lot. He would carry the baby while I got some well deserved rest. We strictly breast fed so I was up doing the feeding but I made sure he woke up to. "Sweetie I need water" ! I need a back rub! "Please carry the baby".! I just can't imagine doing it alone. I don't look forward to doing it again though, I can't imagine going bk to the days of no sleep.

khiaa: Whenever a man is cheating on his wife and the wife finds out, you men always tell her not to end the marriage and to take it to God in prayer. Well I would like to ask you male hypocrites a question. If you found out your wife was cheating on you would you

1. Throw her out of the house or

2. Take it to God in prayer, be honest
You know, I asked my husband the same question when he begged for forgiveness after I caught his cheating. He said he will forgive me, so I guess I have a free pass cheesy
RomanceRe: She Has Been Pretending All This While. by Daresh(f): 12:37am On May 15, 2013
DAN ADAMS: "She Told Me She's A Virgin But She Has Been Sleeping With Our Neighbours"
I really need help to deal with this betrayal
I'm facing.
I am a 26-year-old man and my girlfriend is
23. We both attend OOU and we stay in an
apartment off campus. She seemed to be a
lovely girl. She cooked for me, took care of
me and was always there for me. We have
not been having sex throughout our
relationship because she told me she was a
virgin. Although I was tempted to go out
and sleep with someone else, I resisted
because I felt she was a good woman and
does not deserve it.
I have heard rumors previously about her
having something to do with some guys in
the area, I refused to believe because I
simply trusted her.
One day, she told me she was gong to
Lagos to see her family. I saw her off to the
bus stop and went for lectures. When I got
back from classes. I needed to borrow some
books for upcoming exams. I went to a
friend who then told me to go ask another
classmate who lives close. When I got there
and knocked, the door opened and it was
my girl standing before me. Tying a towel.
I can't even describe the shock I felt at that
point. I went back to my room in a daze and
just sat quietly. Eventually she came in and
she started pleading. I remembered all the
rumors I've heard and I made her tell me
everything. It was then she told me the
truth, about a few guys in the area she had
slept with. She claims she did not mean to lie
to me. That she only wanted to impress me
and that is why she lied that she was a
virgin. She also says she didn't expect to fall
in love with me and when she did, she did
not know how to tell the truth. She told me
she tried to stop being with the other guys
but she could not.
Since that day, I have moved out of the
apartment we shared. It's been about 2
months and I can't even get over the
betrayal. I feel like I have been played for a
fool. She has been begging me to forgive
and take her back. I don't just want to let
her go, I want to come up with a way that
she will feel the pain she inflicted on me. I
want revenge and I don't think I will be
okay if I don't pay her back.
Please advise.
Move on with your life sweetie, you are too good for her.

FamilyRe: Divorce On The Rise In Nigeria: Why? by Daresh(f): 11:08am On May 12, 2013
MoOdYLaDy: These so called Nigerians are copying the white people cultures

Sometimes I wonder if parents every think about the children’s future or the repercussion of getting divorce

Why say "I do", if you know damn well you can't stay in that marriage, I thought people get marry for better or worse, but no oh, these so called Nigerians women of nowadays are on another mission, all they want is money, greedy people

Some people excuses are his cheating or abusive, but you knew damn well that was who he was when he asked you to marry him in the first place, but some woman have these mentality a man will change after getting married, to be a new leaf

Am 100% against people getting divorce
You know it is easy to run your mouth without knowing what is going on inside someone's marriage. Is it better to stay and be beaten to death or catch HIV just to say you are married? You have tagged all Nigerian women greedy and money grabbing, pray tell how many of the 80million of us do you know? Pray you don't find yourself in a situation where you need divorce instead of judging others.

PoliticsRe: Dangote Secures $4.25 Billion Loan To Build Refinery In Nigeria by Daresh(f): 7:30pm On May 09, 2013
GenBuhari: Nigeria is a joke.

An individual with history of profiting from corrupt govt, speaks about $4bn loan from presumably Nigerian banks (who have a bad history of writing off bad loans and allowing corrupt borrowers to steal the money).

A Federal govt who does not feel that it is it's responsibility to build refineries, and is happy to rely on a single company with a record of corrupt business dealings/ alliances.

Is it likely that anybody could get such a huge loan to build refineries with out govt underwriting the loan (agreeing to repay the banks if loan is not repaid by borrower)?

Does any of the above not concern you?

Nigeria is a joke
It is people like you that pronounce only bad things for Nigeria. When Adenuga was seeking for a loan to pay GSM license for what was then CIL people said the same thing. He lost the license and came back as glo 3 years later and got money from France. Now d same thing with Adenuga. Please be positive .
