partnerinbiz4: after dethroning sanusi imagine sanusi was the governor of Kano, in this current situation of things, he would be very busy name calling other governors and the president on what to do but would do nothing himself, while sanusi was busy name calling and telling the governor about poor people in the state, another emir in another state was working probably building school and stuffs like that He was accused of mismanagement of huge public funds in his capacity as an emir, buying extremely exotic cars and living the life Ganduje is no saint as well, but for this alone, I go give am some credit, but would not give him benefit of doubt in any future dispensation |

They put their relatives in all the juicy spots, now their service is needed, they would silently relieve their relatives and re-employ sacked ones so their non relatives go die in the fight If I were a sacked ncdc official, on what ground would I come back when I know my family would be isolated if I die in the course of executing my duties, they probably won't even pay my salary gan, but they are still sharing exotic cars in this hard times |

Whereas, there is a Federal presence in Lagos. They could have just delegated officials of the Ministry of Health in Lagos to do the sharing then distribute from Lagos to the entire country to save cost. 9ja matter no dey get head, even primary school children would know sharing it from lag would have been the most effective and efficient thing to do |

engineerboat: Since we know how our government behave.
However we cannot leave everything to chance.
Let us give NCDC a benefit of doubt of doing a proper check on those materials.
In one of their interviews yesterday, one of the official was saying most of the test kits available had been manufactured before covid-19 which may not be 100% result accurate as it may give false positive, false negative hence the need for ncdc to use analytical testing insteading of of using the test-kits available Going by your analogy that the test kits were produced the outbreak, so we are on one chance result accuracy, so it could go sideways Again I must say, may God help us through this trying times Yes scientists are working to see it's end, but my hope is that God should point then in the right direction |

We can criticize our leaders from now till eternity, but a huge part of the blame still lies with us citizens.
Do you know some of these cases knew they were well exposed to the virus, with likely infection before they boarded that plane back here??! Some actually had mild symptoms, yet failed to self isolate... Why, if not insensitivity??! We failed to also organize protests requesting government to close border because we fear to much |
Health › Re: Suleiman Achimugu Is Dead! Coronavirus Kills Ex-MD Of PPMC by DAVE5(m): 12:18pm On Mar 23, 2020 |
FemiMaduka: Nigeria had a buffer period few countries had. After our first case (the Italian), we had almost two weeks in which no other case was recorded. That was our buffer period. Also, within this period, the virus had fortunately taken a definite pattern, the global hotspots had already been revealed—China, Italy, Iran, Spain, UK, US and co. These were advantages very few countries had in this war against Covid-19, which any compos mentis nation would grab with both arms. But, alas, this is Nigeria.
We left our entry points open. Even Atiku pleaded on Twitter that our airports should be shut down. Some ignorant folks had already started commending this equally ignorant government.
Unfortunately, we recorded another case. Then another. And then another. Boom! 95% of our confirmed cases were of people who came in from THE HOSTSPOTS at a time this virus was raging!
Now, pray tell, has God not helped us enough, with all the advantages we had?
How the hell did the late Achimugu fly in FROM A HOTSPOT and didn't get quarantined!
This is almost a hopeless country. The leadership and followership are cold dead!
P.S.: To those who would say "you cannot just shut the airports down that way", I'd drop these posers: - At a time the world was progressively shutting down, what could we have lost by shutting our doors? - Yea, citizens have the right of ingress. But we could still shut our doors and allow citizens to come in but on the condition that they would surrender to a 15-day quarantine. - What have we gained, aside joining the global Covid-19 map, from leaving our doors open? - In a world where America is setting up a $1Tn package, Spain a $200bn package, and other countries having to appropriate billions of dollars in economic and social interventions, can the gains of leaving our doors open be compared to the cost we will bear for that decision? Our annual budget is just about $40bn, just to set a perspective.
You all are not ready. Our president did not give orders to pick borders, I guess he would blame previous government We were playing partisan politics |
