Romance › Re: This Cute Girl Did This At The Bank And I Did This by DavidEsq(m): 10:04am On Feb 02, 2020 |
Adeling: @op you felt intimidated by that lady, nothing less.!
I once had a similar situation as yours when I went to get my voters card. This black beautiful girl was the center of attraction when she decided to rest on my back while standing. Guys were just screaming to me "omo you dey enjoy o" when in fact I wasn't feeling anything. I didn't let her rest on my back (while standing) because I was weak, or because she was beautiful(I mean real natural black beauty), but because I would have done same if she was my sister (who was tired of standing), and she felt so free with me. Las las I didn't care to collect her number as some guys would have done.
You shouldn't be rude to people because their beauty intimidate you or sth else. That young lady might just be looking for a way to be a friend.
BTW this attitude doesn't make you an alpha male. OP sounds like a very pained person who has had to suffer rejection from several ladies, even before he could approach them, most likely because his inferiority complex swallowed him. He is one of those who hate beautiful women because he believes they get what they want without struggling hard for it, while he has to slave for what is barely enough to survive on. He is the type that a beautiful woman would sit next to but his inferiority complex would fuel his sense of lack so badly that he would be feeling too poor to talk to her. That sense of rejection and inadequacy has molded him to a ball of suppressed hate. Lastly, he is the kind that would never render assistance to a lady in distress because he probably feels that her greed put her in that situation and she should call her rich boyfriends and not expect him to do her any good. I can imagine the tightness he feels in his chest due to this attitude of his. I pity him so much, cos I met a number of his type back in my Uni days, who suffered a lil dose of madness from depression, religious hallucination and excessive reading. |

No my brother. It is to be happy for him, that he transcended from poverty to a better life. A lot of ppl who were also poor with him are still wallowing in poverty, with little or no hope of a way out, despite all they have done. When u see such stories, be happy for them, because it's in similar situations of poverty that others commit suicide. Peace, bro |

Crime › Re: Frederick Forsyth Atacks Britain: You Committed Crimes Against Igbo by DavidEsq(m): 8:04am On Jan 29, 2020 |
For those who do not know Frederick (McCarthy) Forsyth, he is the author of the book titled "Emeka". It's a book on Ojukwu. For the OP, I beg to differ from your that Frederick's conscience has began to work due to his steep age. Frederick resigned his job as a reporter to cover the Nigerian civil war for 3 whole years because he noticed his employers were only concerned with a 3-week report of the civil, yet reported the Vietnam war throughout the period it lasted, his instincts told him that there was something fishy about the Nigerian civil war. He resigned his job and flew down to Nigeria. That was how he found out that the war was fought by mercenaries hired by the Nigerian government. France gave Biafra support, due to her experience with the French revolution. Frederick was not one to quote another. He was one to visit the scene and make a dispassionate report. I read most of his books when I was a child: "dogs of war, the devil's alternative, clear and present danger, the shepherd, Emeka, the Biafran soldier (I didn't finish it), the forth protocol, the day of the jackal,", etc. He introduced me to a world of soldiers of fortune (mercenaries) who fought all over Africa, on any side. He African politics like the back of his hand and his analysis of the African soldier vis-a-vis the western soldier is apt and void of sentiment. He is a mountain of knowledge and I envy the walls of his house, which I believe have all the greatest books. |

Nairaland General › A Poem On "The Other Room" by DavidEsq(op): 12:24pm On Jan 28, 2020 |
THE OTHER ROOM
The other room Where a woman pretends To be weak So that a man Can believe he is strong Where a woman pretends To be foolish So that a man Can say he is wise Where a woman stoops So that a man can conquer.
The other room Where gods of men Become worshipers of women Where leaders of thought Become minions Of the bleeders blood Where wielders of power Succumb to power.
The other room Where the brashness of testosterone Yields to the bra straps of estrogen Where the bravado of masculinity Is tamed by the wiles of femininity Where the turgid Becomes the flaccid
Three rooms In a house One in which a man Believes he is king Two in which He realizes A woman is god! Hmmmmmm!
The other room Hardened men become beggars The queen becomes the king too The king, just a beggarly page
In the other room We cry for joy Beg to be injured For there, we enjoy pain
In the other room We beg to suck milkless breasts Accept every proposal And promise any thing
In the other room Fate of nations are decided Destinies of men are fixed Death warrants are signed
The other room What a room..!
