Firefighters are a civilian component of civil service and in times of emergency they form a protective brigade to secure life and property against fire, chemical and othe flammables and incendiaries but they are excluded from military or para military corps. As such they are not required to give salutes.

I met this guy in 2010 when i went on a visit to see my aunt. It was an on and off relationship though.......during the course of this relationship, he slapped me and there was another time i was hospitalized, he came and left without offering to pay for the bills knowing fully well dat i had spent much on the sickness already..
Recently he called and said he wants to settle down and apologised for his past behaviour saying it was because he has this trust issue with ladies but he said he is trying to change........i said fine, he's even planning to come and see my family in June. But two days ago, i needed to clear the air on something so i asked him via whatsapp that my girlfriend wants to divorce the husband because he slapped her and he condemned the act saying it could lead to battery if proper measure is not taken. I also asked him that my friend's husband left her in d hosptal when she was hospitalized saying she has family so they should pay d bill. He found out that i was referring to him but his reply was that he should have given me two more slaps as prescribed and y would he pay the hospital bill when i was taking advice from my girlfriend....
Pls dear nlanders mature advise pls. Help a confused sister.

This is sad, NCC believes that this is one of the ways they can generate revenues for the Government. They know that we can’t do without buying data… so they decided to mandate all Telcos to increase their data price… hmm!

Nigerian Government through its agencies should not make life harder for Nigerians! Don’t be surprise that beginning from December 1st 2016, N1000 will only get you 500MB of data. The data you normally get 3GB for N1000 before will be history.

Inshort, all MtN users should call 181 self-help service number to listen to this announcement which will take effect from 1st of December.

No, this is not the way to go - again, if you take this line of thinking to its logical conclusion, it ends with each house having its own generator, which is where we already are. Electricity generation is a business which is heavily capital intensive and has huge advantages of scale: it makes no sense doing it on a local-government level.

The right way to go is to allow private operators to invest in their own independent power distribution networks as they see fit, and to give them the freedom to set their own prices as they please. The only restrictions would be generally applicable technical ones, e.g. that the power delivered at retail be 220V AC, etc. If some private operators wanted to feed into/from other operators' networks, that would be up to them to determine if it made financial sense. Only a setup like this will make it financially worthwhile for private companies to pour in the billions of dollars of investment needed to give Nigeria a properly functioning power sector.

The rough business climate has forced many companies to close shops, while the sur­viving ones are retrenching workers daily.
Recently, the Organised La­bour raised an alarm that the food, beverage and tobacco sector of the nation was on the verge of shutting down and that over three million jobs were at risk due to the inability of companies to meet the crip­pling cost of production.
