DelGardo: And most of this happened under Mrs Iweala, the world renowned economist. Discovery by Mrs Adeosun, the local consultant.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating, as my English friends say. In most advanced countries, there corruption laws are so strong that as an individual you can be sent to jail for looking the other way when people were committing crimes. If there is evidence that Mrs. Iweala looked the other way while people were stealing then she could be sent to jail for not reporting or doing something in her power to stop them. I believe that its called wilful ignorance. And it even gets worse for you if there is evidence that you covered up for them or that you lied by trying to prevent justice (perjury). That's called obstruction of justice. That means that you don't have to actually steal to get a stiff sentence but lying to cover up for your boys or looking the other way when people were stealing is enough. |
Romance › Re: What Is Wrong With Being Black?? by davidif: 9:54pm On Dec 01, 2016 |
reminiscing: Few days ago,I took I'll and I was forced to see our family doctor, on getting to the pharmacy,I saw the doctor and his daughter of about nine years old "you know how this butty kids look bigger than their age".She was excited to see me cos I gist a lot with her and thinking I am my younger sister (cos she thinks we are d same ) ,she asked me why I am now light skinned.I told her its probably because of the stress attached to my Internship program and working under the scotching sun,she was like "OK....ay".She then said the last time she saw my I was dark like her that was when it dawn on me that she couldn't different me from my younger sister cos we have the same physique but different complexion, I am a bit fair and she is dark. The next statement that dropped out of this little girl's mouth was "She is not beautiful".I asked her why she said so,she said its because she is not light skinned and that when she grows up,she will buy cream that will make her light skinned.I was speechless...........I thought of what to say and then I told her that, being black is best because when she becomes fair, she won't be able to walk in the sun.She felt quite convinced
My Question is,how else can we convince kids that Black rocks ? Wow! What a disheartening story! |

SAMBARRY: you nor know say when work envelope you and you are given a target by your boss and you know other people are competing with you to rise to the ladder you won't know when you will forget your family. Not that you deliberately want to do it or they don't mean anything to you but you want to impress your boss and show you are hardworking you want to please your wife, siblings or parents that you have now been promoted to the position of a director so many people looking up to you that you don't even realise when work takes its toll on your family .
Abi don't you see in some instances where husband is working in enugu, wife in abuja, parents in Port Harcourt, siblings in kaduna or ibadan, children in lagos. It's only when maybe a cousin calls and says Richard is getting married that's when you will start considering taking leave from work to catch up with your family and relations and that's even if your boss grants you the leave
if oga didn't approve of your leave how many of your siblings or wife or parents will understand. Sometimes sef that's the begging of family fight
Wife will start resenting the husband and say since Alex got that job he has not had time for us . He hardly comes home. Fight will start. Sibling will say John is now proud. He doesn't come to pay us a visit always claiming busy busy and it was all of us who prayed for him to get a job . except you're blessed with an understanding family
I remember when my grandma was alive my mom and some of her siblings didn't have time to see my granny. Not that they didn't love her but were very busy .They only send money to her and my grandma will say she doesn't want money its them she wants to see. No amount of money they send to her will be okay except they personally come and see her. So my mom and some of her siblings were like shebi so and so persons usually comes and see you and even spends time with you. So and so sent her children to yoy to keep you company and represent her.she said she's not still satisfied. I want to see all of you in my house. At that point every one had to find a way to see maami.shortly after there was a full house she was so excited and happy. She said even if they don't buy her anything she already has everything because her children were around. She hugged every one of them , prayed for them and bonded with them. It wasn't up to 2 weeks after she died. Chaiii it was painful and everyone learnt their lesson. Nkan tani lan nani. WOW!!!! What a story! Please share this story with as many people as you can. This story should be posted at almost every work place for people to read. Thanks for sharing this. |
Food › Re: Can You Eat Your Rice Without Meat? by davidif: 2:05am On Dec 01, 2016 |
Acidosis: Can you eat your beans without meat? I'm sure the answer is "YES".
It shows humans are naturally illogical most of the time. We just set illogical bandwagon criteria and expect everyone to follow.
A human being like yourself decided to attach meat with rice. You as a human being can change that. Is it not irrational that we always demand meat on rice, but never on beans, yam, etc. Gbam! |

graciousisi: I have been dating a guy for a while and we have what someone can call a perfect relationship. We are students and he always have problems with school. I try everything possible everytime to help him through advice and materials in our courses to make things easier for him. Yesterday he told me that he needed a break in the relationship to help him sort somethings out, i was really hurt becos i have been trying everything possible to help out. I felt as if he was pushing me away, so i told him i will give him all the space he wanted without asking questions. This morning in school, he told me that everything he said about needing a break was all a test and he was suprised in the way i was so willing to let him go, he said i acted as if the relationship meant nothing to me. I was even more hurt that he even decided to test me at all. Was i wrong in the way i reacted? Should i apologise? I think he was expecting me to be moody this morning but i looked so happy and he was disappointed. I was hurt, but i put up the happy mood this morning so that my friends will not ask questions but he took it as if i dnt care. Pls help, was i wrong? Wow! that's manipulative of him. |

I hereby suggest that every corper, when return to their various states after orientation camp should be quarantined to avoid spread of diseases..... Who owns this NYSC facilities sef? |

What conclusion precisely do you presume i jumped into?
Let me give you an info, are you aware of ahmed indimi, the father of the son to be married who owns oil wells in the niger delta. Well the expiry of that oil well is due next year and another fresh rounds of bidding is to take place next year. I leave you to decide. And here is your conclusion; For a girl to make up her mind that she would marry a man she knows not more than a month shows her depth. |
