Hello fruitful mama's, abeg make una comment on this ma matter. I am 3 weeks post myomectomy (surgery for fibroid). For now I am not ttc till the next 3-4months.
What else can I do to increase my chances of conceiving when I am ready to ttc again? Are there any test I should do within these 3months? My gynae said I should not gbensh with DH till 3months post op' but DH is saying he is ready to wait 4months cos he has seen the pains I went thru after the surgery.
Mama's that have gone through myomectomy, pls what did you do during the 3months wait?

congratulations on your successful surgery.
I didn't do anything but rest,eat well and take the drugs prescribed and do the incision cleaning regularly. Mama fvine has said it all ,you can also do the hormonal profile thingy and take medications if the result calls for it. That will give you a good headstart.
My dh was in the theater for the surgery.
Dr said I could have sex after 6weeks but start trying to conceive again after three months. What helped us to keep to the rule was that I had the surgery in a different state where my parents are,so dh had to travel back cos of his job. most men can't wait 6 weeks talkless of 3 to 4 months especially if you bounce back fast from the surgery.

@benignasweety you need to get a hold of yourself and stop worrying.Your unborn baby should be your major concern. You should simply do your part as a wife and ignore whatever he says or does,so far as he is not physically abusive.
worrying isn't good for the baby,please relax your mind.

Please how long does it take for Af to show face after the surgery? A friend of mine that had surgery in February is yet to see Af, she's really worried. But me am seriously praying that sperm has magneted eggs along the way . Although I advised her to go back to her doctor.

Mine came at the normal time I was expecting it.

My experience with clomid was not so bad. AF came at the normal time,I didn't experience dryness at all. my only symptoms were hot flashes and my ovulation pain was more intense. Will be trying a second round then moving on to other options, I really pray God answers me before it gets to that stage.

I beseech you all to pray for the success of the surgery next week by the grace of God. Again I know God will see me through. He has been a faithful God and will always be.
Well, I don't know how my in-laws will react if they hear that I have fibroid's (I don cry tire for this fibroid matter). If only it wasn't calcified I wouldn't have even gone for the surgery.
However, hubby has told me not to worry and that he won't tell his parents/relatives that its fibroid. My gynae too, promised me that he won't tell them its fibroid cos he knows what women go through once the in-laws discovered that the problem is from the woman (chai, may God help us). With my history of multiple surgeries I wonder what they will tell me if they hear about this again. Even before our wedding, some people adviced my hubby to leave me cos of the surgeries I had and they insinuate that I may have difficulty conceiving. He never listened and never told me, until I jokingly asked him if he was ever adviced to leave me. I am extremely fragile and wouldn't want to go through trauma again.

Jehovah will see you through. You will have a speedy recovery, and as soon as you start TTC again a bfp will be yours, in Jesus mighty name I pray.

sis,I know how you feel. I am going through the same thing. You just need to pull yourself together. Put your Trust in Jehovah. He will surprise you. Have faith. It's not easy I know. my wedding anniversary just went by. I guess having a supportive husband ,and family members help me when I get moody. Also counting my blessing and thanking God for them ,reinforces my faith In Jehovah.

@Dazzle86, I can't tell cos I've never tried it, I suggest you do hsg to ascertain the state of your tubes before inducing with Clomid and also do tvs to confirm the state of your ovaries as well and moreover, hope the Clomid is your doctor's prescription?

@mamateniola, all brands of soy work just like Clomid, take 100-150 gm and see how your body will respond

i have done hsg,had patent tubes. scans show I have normal ovaries. I am certain I ovulate because I have regular cycles ,ovulation pain and positive opk. my obgyn prescribed clomid and vit e. He says it's to improve egg quality

Yes ma,I have done HSg,.My gynea is the one who prescribed clomid with vitamin e. my ovaries are normal too. to the best of my knowledge I ovulate,cos I have a regular cycle,ovulation pains during ovulation and positive opk. my gynea says the clomid is to improve egg quality. I used clean point for preventive purpose.

Ok am curious as hell that's why I posted. I'll share my experience after. I believe it's part of the Myomectomy deal and that's why I'll only pay for just the materials. He says the normal cost (I guess for people who did t do Myomectomy with him but needing to do the procedure) is N50,000 but that I'll be paying N25,000. How much did you pay for your Myomectomy?

Umunne m na Umunna m oh! which means My Brothers & Sisters oh! Biko who has done Chromoperturbation before? It's part of my Dr's protocols after an open Myomectomy. He usually does it once the 3rd period arrives and packs up. My 3rd AF post Op came yesterday, therefore yours truly will be going in soon for this procedure. I've asked him plenty questions yesterday on the procedure and all he gave me is that recovery time is 45mins and mild anaesthesia will be given. He has stylishly declined answering further questions until I come for the procedure. He gets the vibes from my questions that am scared and might actually change my mind and not come in for it. Well he's somewhat right, so I don't blame him. I just want to learn what I can to prepare my psyche before the D day. I've googled for information but not really getting all the info I want. I do know that he'll as usual answer all my questions and clear my fears before we go into the Theatre. As per cost, am only going to pay for the cost of materials to be used and not for the procedure.

I didn't pay for hydrotubation, it was included in the myo fee.I am curious about the chromopertubation. what is it? all I see online is that it's done during laparoscopy and it involves using dye to check for tube patency.

Clomid works great when combined with Vit C. but don't go over 1000mg of Vit C. Best is to get your Vit C from Fruits and the much in Prenatal if you're taking any. But if you're not on any Prenatal and don't take much Vit C laden foods, then you can take about 400-600mg which would be 2 tablets 3x daily. Also get something to counteract the vaginal dryness, sometimes clomid causes Ovulation but people don't get pregnant because the veejay goes dry and swimmers find it difficult to swim or just die off that is where every other thing is OK.

Hmmm it's better you use its substitutes like letrozole, iso soy, etc. I wouldn't use that clomid if I were you

@dazzle, why not try soy isoflavon? You can take it on day 2-6, 3-7 or 5-9. Check wat I did differently. I also took robitusun cough syrup and ate pineapple from the day I saw +ve ovulation on my clear.

Yes I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it's negative. It seems I'm beginning to have sore breasts again sef but no Af yet. It is well with my soul and the scan I did showed I ovulated

it is well, I am asking cos I have a regular cycle and ovulate but my doctor placed me on clomid
. I am yet to take it. I am scared of the reviews I am seeing on it. Don't want it to mess up my cycle.

mine was painful, I was given pain reliever after the procedure. the cervix is dilated and a catheter is used to pass in fluid,that contains antibiotics. you feel the pain at the sides of your abdomen. it's different from HSG it's not an x-ray.

I did the surgery at Good tidings in surulere 37/38,fasoro.its cost 550k the gyn is an experience surgeon for 30 yes both in and out of d country so my uterus is save my fallopians tubes n my overlies are save compare to oda places where tubes will be cut out .

I don't think there is anywhere where tubes are cut during myomectomy. If tubes were cut then the aim of the surgery to aid conception is defeated.

I had a myomectomy and my doctor did hydrotubation about 7weeks after surgery.
