[quote author=talktimi]why don't you shut your own lousy trap you miniature donkey, the moment the people of that senatorial district or the senator dropped in question complain then you will have the right to. Why e dey pain you sef mr democrat ?[/quote

Do you have to wait for the victim to complain before you give your opinion on the subject? Now here is a straight question: Was Gov Akpabio right doing what he confessed to have done...rigging? Dont bother about the victim, just give your response. God bless you as you do that.

Sometimes, not all the time but just sometimes, I am tempted to think that our youths are destroyers, not leaders, of our 2morrow. Many times I see them think and act worse than the leaders we so often condemn. I am a positive person so I reject that thought but I am also mindful of the fact that leaders are gotten from among the people! Waoh, God help us.

ndu_chucks: shatap dia!! Do you think Nigerians from certain regions are better than those from other regions in the eyes of God? For your information, the Northerners have suffered more casualties than you people from BH bombs, in addition to being victims of indiscriminate killings by JTF. You should be outraged by the killing of any innocent Nigerian regardless of his/her state or region of origin. Your problem is that you still look at Northerners as inferior to you and you believe that your people are more special. I say shame on you for that! olodo

Wrong sir!! The President swore an oath to defend Nigerians against all enemies. The army officers take orders from their civilian commander-in-chief. Don't get it twisted.

PoliticsRe: Should I Return To Nigeria? by dbride: 8:24am On Apr 05, 2013
Be very careful, FEAR is a cage. I live in lekki axis and do not know about those kidnappings. In fact, one of my neighbors relocated from SA 2007 and is doing very well with his family. He travels to and fro SA for business. Lekki is a green area for business. You already have a house, what are you waiting for?
Like I said, fear is your problem nothing else. Nigeria is still better than SA if we talk of security.

Loose yourself from that fear that is so tormenting you. Fear can stop you from fulfilling your destiny. Fear kills too! Nigeria is not your problem but FEAR. If you are too afraid and have the means to relocate, then get going first without your family. They can join you later if they so wish.

How do this people reason, with their heads or anus? Instead of changing the bad reports to good reports, they chose their normal evil way of trying to corrupt the journalists to overlook the bad reports.

Metuh, if I visited you and found your house dirty, I would report what I saw but if I stopped by a second time and found the place clean, I would change my report. Let your PDP do the right thing, it is simple, clean and respectable!

CelebritiesRe: Stella Dimoko-Korkus Hit With N500M Lawsuit By Lanre Nzeribe by dbride: 7:14pm On Apr 03, 2013
Lanre Nzeribe and Emeka Nzeribe are cousins. This is a simple case of typo-error where Lanre instead of Emeka Nzeribe for Stella Damasus was typed. So many have made that same mistake. When two family members mingle with female celebrities from the same crowd, identity mistakes happen. This is your second catch from the same crowd and you blame others for what? Man, look inward. No other place to lay your eggs?

That said, Lanre where do you expect Stella Dimokokorkus to get the #500 milla. That your quack lawyer must have ill advised you just so he can make some money from you too. By the way, OBJ would have sued our comedians and others over and over again. Think about this: The Federal Govt is yet to pay Baba Suwe his money....a whole FGN. Your eyes dey red for money.

Me think you are so idle and self-centered and comfortable; divert that energy towards liberating so many less privileged nigerians. That will certainly rebuild the name/image you claimed was destroyed by Stella.

I am one of those who think Buhari would make a better president. I am not going to lie that I am not disappointed reading his opinion about boko haram because I am CERTAIN there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between the Niger Delta and Boko Haram militants.

For me, God speaks, reveals things, in diverse ways and it is left to me to discern and make my decisions from there.

~Bluetooth:
Let me give you a chance despite your shortcoming. . .what is the difference between terrorism and insurgency ? Can't you guys just tell us the difference instead of bitching about his person here ?
Earlier it was the word "dummy" now it is "bitching", why do you always like abusive/derogatory words even when they are not necessary? You can do better I am sure. Why fight over the words militancy, terrorism and insurgency? That's not important. The argument is on: No Difference between Boko Haram and Niger Delta Militants/Terrorists/Insurgents!

Boko Haram claim they are against western education, but do you know their identity, their real demands, their location? You cannot deny knowing the identity of the niger delta militants, their location, their demands. To make this difference outstanding, the boko haram boys use SUICIDE BOMBERS.

Bluetooth, are you certain there is no difference between these two groups? We must have an open mind to be able to make unbiased contribution to any topic; who we dislike or like for whatever reasons must NOT come to play.

CelebritiesRe: Charly Boy On ‘My Oga At The Top’ Saga by dbride: 7:27pm On Mar 29, 2013
ghostofsparta: Mr. Charlie Boy you have to accept the fact that the Nigerian youths are the most unthinking and unconcerned lots amongst the youth population of the world. Nigerian youths, especially the ones of the south are so scared and cowed that they only think about their individual self. They are never willing to compromise their little comfort zone; they are plagued with opiatic factors such as their voracious obsession to soccer and ill-cultured musicals and musical videos, their irrational need to measure everything by God and religion, yet constitute the most hypocritical pathetics.

I wondered what it meant the first time I saw "My Oga at the top" used in a thread. As soon as it began to appear almost everywhere on Nairaland I reckoned the silly phrase was probably a statement someone must have spoken out of context now bandied around the Nigeria cyberspace as the new fancy catchphrase in town by the un-creative multitudes who unfortunately makes up the majority.

Nigerian youths prefers to endure hardship for as long as there is at least little assurance of food the next morning, with the hope to one day drive a fancy tokunbo car despite the undeniable reality that mitigates the latter from actualizing on a daily basis. They prefer to invest a false sense of hope in God to remedy all things gone awry rather than equip themselves with unbiased reasons and justification to ignite an intellectual revolution that will change their personal self-interest mentality to a collective anti-oppression manifold such as the type their less suffering counterparts did during the Arab Spring.

Nigeria youths are comfortable with second hand phones and various imported consumer products without the thought of imbibing the spirit of R&Developing something uniquely African to sell to the world, they feel gratified with Brazilian hairs and designers apparels without stopping to think of inculcating the spirit of repackaging and marketing their native hairstyle and wears in an innovative way. They are ever praisful of European football stars and ever addicted to their clubsides while thousands of local native legendary heroes fades into obscurity. They youths of the elites would instead go for a Samsung Galazy X50 or Blackberry Bold-100 rather than buy or support a modernized device of African telephony crafted from African metaphysical technology otherwise known as Juju tech. The Nigerian youths, especially of the souths are ever welcome of mediocrity in the entertainment industry, always appreciative of the un-educative, culture suppressing, lesson lacking musicals and musical videos that now infests channels with themes that tramples tradition only to glorify ostentatious and sybarity.

I have always wondered - is it always about 'baby, I luv u' themes filled th erotic and bombom shaking ladies in a club-life setting consistently coupled with the display of cash and expensive drinks squandering, the only theme the Euro-American musician that the majority of the established and upcoming Nigerian artistes cheaply imitates always sing about..
What has this got to do with "oga at the top" saga. Please create another thread for your venom on Nigerian youths. Did you read the post at all. FYI, "oga at the top" is fun for everyone. Comedy is not reserved for the youths.

You seem to have so many things against the youths from the south; the youths from wherever are better, then please use them to start "Nigerian Spring" or they are already doing their bit in boko haram camp? Oh yes, that is why you dont find them doing any of those 'evils' you enumerated that the youths from the south indulge in. The youths from wherever would do the same if they were as exposed as the youths from the south; the difference is that one is moving progressing and the other is retrogressing.

Charlie Boy, you have spoken well but I do not think 'oga at the top' has anything to do with the pains of nigeria. Are you in any way suggesting that if people didnt dwell on 'oga at the top', there wouldnt be kano bomb blast, armed robbery, power failure, pardon for Alam, etc? No no no Mr. Charles Oputa, 'oga at the top' is not, has never been and will never be an obstacle in the way of fight against corruption, boko haram, armed robbery, etc. just as comedians and comedy still thrive in 9ja with all the ills you mentioned.

Haba, do you want us to suffocate in the enormous struggles our leaders make us go through? Any form of comedy is a breath of fresh air! QED. Vent your anger on other things, oga at the top is not an issue in my opinion.

Would it hurt you if you refered your beautiful write up to our corrupt leaders, afterall we chose them to serve us. You have thrown your missile on the wrong people! Remember, Nigerians are the happiest people on earth....Guiness Book of Records. We always find a way to make us happy inspite of the decay. Give it to us joor, dont blame us and oga at the top comedy.
