You are the one confusing yourself. If the newspaper that published that Obi claims to have started from PDP lied, then Obi would have sued him. You are the one out to belittle a news outfit just because a truth it published does not align with your sentiment

I have tried to link up with this your link but all my efforts to do so yielded no fruit. No single biography of Peter Obi captured that he started as PDP man. I have watched him severally been interviewed and I have not heard him saying he began politics with PDP, all his story has been how he joined politics through APGA. Here below is a link of his biography and all the parties he has joined with date. Nowhere it was mentioned he was in PDP before APGA.

As at that time was he a card carrying member of PDP? If he was, he was to resigned officially before joining APGA. It was the same year he joined APGA and the next year he vied for governorship election and won. His membership was just a detour.
He himself said it verbatim in the link that he was a PDP member. I wonder why you are now trying to speak for him by asking whether he was a card carrying member as if he didn't know it takes being a registered member of a party before anyone can really claim its membership in full public glare for that matter.

the problem is one can get trapped.

Imagine those investors in Multiverse who have been trying to come out for the past one month. total traded value yesterday from 6 deals only was N21k. You spot opportunity elsewhere and want to sell multiverse to key into such opportunities just like when MTN got to N180. Multiverse trapped you inside.
Yesterday also, Champion breweries, only 3 deals with total value of around N5k.

Look at McNichols, after the price went up many days and hit the top, coming out was a problem until it went back to where it started from before we started seeing bids.
Mecure has trapped investors wanting out as we speak. remember how it was flying high and jumping 10% daily for weeks. Yesterday's total traded volume was just 21k

so many stocks like that will do people shege.

Climbing up is not the problem but when you want to come out, it's a big problem especially when you are invested with huge fund.

my advice to penny stock wannabe investors is to use penny amounts to buy penny stocks. Imagine someone queuing up very early trying to sell about 1M units of Mecure or Multiverse. it would take more than 2 weeks of others waiting if the 1M guy gets in front everyday.

I learnt my lesson when i tried to jump out of one penny stock with N800K value to invest in an opportunity elsewhere. i remained trapped while the other stock which was a highly liquid one made 30%. As i speak, i am still trapped but the paper value has gone down drastically by about 50%.

As for me, i learn't my lessons
It has been repeatedly said here that the first thing to consider in trying to trade a penny stock is historical liquidity.
You can't be so trapped in JAPAUL for example. Secondly, most instances of getting stuck in a penny stock after a long way rally are fueled by greed else it is always clear when the trend is dying down but a greedy trader would assume that somehow it will just continue the rally forever.
Even some non-penny stocks do become very illiquid after a prolonged rally. Take a look at GEREGU's behavior since it hit N1000 all the way from N300+. It is now difficult to sell large volumes yet it is by no means a penny stock.
It takes up to four trading days for a penny stock to become illiquid after much rally. Those who are caught are the types who are guilty of the Wild Goose Hunter story.

But I thought even Nmesomas original score was more than enough to secure her admission in any uni to study any course of her choice? Her only problem or crime was greed. She was aiming for the scholarship award for the highest scorer and because she didn't get that point she decided to add a little point just to come up on top. That was her only crime not that her result wasn't good enough. Even all the teachers that taught her bore witness to the fact that she's a very brilliant girl. And the same result got her admission oversea. So your Nmesomas rant still holds no water, oga.
You have just confirmed that Mmesoma knew she wasn't brilliant enough for the scholarship she was seeking hence had to find a way to circumvent the minimum requirement for that scholarship.

My stock picks are more of illiquid stocks.
When there is turnaround in a company, people will start looking for it no matter the illiquidity. Still on this illiquidity, when market begins to show justice to a stock because of the impressive numbers, that stock will trade at a very high price.
Exactly. When an illiquid stock's figures are excellent, it is a movement to the moon.

Point of correction. Google, the Europeans and Americans say so.
2) Hopefully, you may have an important view about why the Ibos couldn't stop the British despite being the most intelligent African tribe. Any contribution since folks like Deadlytruth have been running in circles saying nothing? As you can see,we have already proven that Igbo childresn are required to score up to 160 in unity exams or disunity exams while some of your tribes children qualify if they scire 6. A clear testimony that even your government deem Igbo the most intelligent tribe in the country. Igbo children also beat the rest of you silly in national exams with level playing fiels such as WAEC and JAMB. At least, these are facts we all are aware of (before they start rigging exams the way they rig election in the country).

So why couldn't the smartest African tribe stop the British from colonizing them?
You keep repeating this 160 score thing without being able to bring up any superior facts or logic than the explanation already given. How could a supposedly intelligent people have the least number of schools per population? Tell your governors to build you more public schools in your state and watch those cut off marks reduce. It should actually be a thing of shame that Northern states like Kaduna, Bauchi, Katsina each have up to 3,000 state government owned schools while states like Abia, Anambra and Ebonyi have less than 1,500 each.
You folks have for years been accusing Britain and the US of falsifying records against Igbo in Nigeria in the quest to help Fulanis dominate. But now, you are stuck to a statistics from the same colonial overlords because it seems to favor your sentiments. The day these same people will make an amendment to that claim is the same day we will begin to hear again how they cook up data to perpetuate Fulani hegemony in Nigeria.

I worked so much on that stock throughout last week and now it is a BUY stock. I got a lot at 1.20 and 1.22.I will continue to buy until I meet my target. You can average down at these prices or below but getting the stock at below 1.20 will be extremely difficult for now because liquidity and good trading setup is created for the stock at this time only. Just seeing this. So sorry for not responding quickly. I was on a journey throughout Friday and again for a substantial part of yesterday hence couldn't even come around during the active moments. You are jumping here and there.
1) why do Igbo children need to score 160 in an exam that other children from other tribes need to score as low as 6 to qualify if they're not deemed to be of superior intelligence even by your government?
You can keep pretending not to have seen the explanation. I can't help beyond that.

EbinPawaGovt:
2) Why do Igbo children lead in national exams that create level playing fields such as WAEC and JAMB? Even when they write these exams in non Igbo states?
The Mmesoma UTME scandal has long shattered that myth.

EbinPawaGovt:
3) Why would you be a prosecutor and judge in a case you have vested interest in as an African or even a Nigerian? Don't you think that nonAfricans such as Europeans and Americans are in the best position of objectivity to assess the most intelligent and smartest African tribe since it's obvious that as an African, emotions such as jealousy would play a role in making you distort the truth?
And you yourself have been hypocritically relying on JAMB data issued by that same Nigerian government as an evidence of that your Igbo intelligence. What an interesting irony! Is JAMB a European or an American Organization?
EbinPawaGovt:
4) if the European countries and Americans who are obviously more advanced than you and whose schools teach you say Igbo are the most intelligent African tribe, what evidence can you provide to the contrary?
That statistics is about the academic performances of blacks in the US alone.
Academic performance is not same as intelligence. Thank God you agree that Americans and Europeans are more intelligent than us. Now, most Americans who broke records in intelligence dropped out of school. E.g. Bill gates. Even in history, some of the greatest scientists couldn't afford education. So intelligence is different from academic performance.

EbinPawaGovt:
5) if you can answer any of these then I'd like you to tell us why you think that the Igbo couldn't stop the British conquest of the Igbo country since they're the most intelligent African tribe.
This alone is the greatest proof that the alleged intelligence is a phantom hence the explanation is yours to make.

You've not said anything to prove the Europeans, the Americans or Google wrong. European countries said the Igbo would become a Japan in Africa. The Americans say Igbos are the most intelligent African tribe.

Google, an European company in the United States say Igbo are the most intelligent black tribe on earth.

In Nigeria, the Nigerian government demands Igbo children score as high as 160 for an exam other tribes need to score as low as 6. Yet Igbo children are always leading in the most transparent national exams that provide level ground such as JAMB and WAEC. So it just you making unsuccessful attempt to change facts which you can't do even given 1000 lifetimes.

Since it's proven that Igbo are the smartest tribe in Africa, the question you should be struggling with is why the Igbo couldn't stop the British conquest of the Igbo country since they were the most intelligent African tribe in a position to have done so. Arguing against fact points to the low intelligence attribute of some African tribes which is partly responsible for the position of blacks on earth today. So please stick to the topic of why Igbo could not stop the British. I know it's a bit too academic for a Nairaland discussion.
I have addressed the issue of high cut off marks for Igbo states. Go and press your governors to build more schools for you and watch those cut off marks drop in the same manner the Naira drops against the Dollar.

That report is about academic performance, and of course since Igbos have few schools in their home states back in Nigeria, it is natural that they would have the highest Nigerian population of international students in the US and therefore have the highest percentage of blacks doing well in academics in US schools. Is this too difficult to understand?

When someone is genuinely of innate intelligence, you should be able to see the results around him and in the endeavours he undertakes. Go to the South East, the Igbos' home region, and see for yourself how squalid and undeveloped it is there generally. Igbos are the only ethnicity group in Nigeria who have more of its natives in other regions than in their own region. That is not a hallmark of intelligence. Secondly, an intelligent people are usually organized, civilized m, decent in attitude etc. One of the most important traits of intelligence is the ability to correctly predict the likely outcome of an action or decision one is about to take and therefore apply restraint if necessary.
On that note Igbo political leaders can't be said to be intelligent as all the positions and decisions they took on important national questions ended up ruining the Igbo race. Examples are as follows:
1. The decision to enter into a governing coalition with NPC thus giving power to the most educationally backward people to pioneer governance in a new country seeking to find its foot in good governance.

2. Deciding to go into a political partnership that would give absolute political power to the very section of the country where their own brothers had experienced two pogroms without any justifiable reason.

3. Believing that a bloody coup was the best solution to resolve mere political differences among politicians among whom there are no permanent friends or enemies.

4. Declaring a war and relying on hurriedly recruited teenage boys with sticks and cutlasses for weapons against a well trained Nigeria Army armed with the state of the art firearms.

5. Believing that a country of over 300 tribes could be successfully governed by a strong centre hence the campaign for one-Nigeria by Igbos.

Then above all, your well known claim that the coupists (who were mostly Igbos) did the coup with the ultimate intention to bring Awolowo to power because they adjuded him as the only non-mediocre among all the political class, is an indictment of this alleged Igbo intelligence. It was a case of a group of Igbos confessing that they couldn't find an Igbo man intelligent enough to correctly govern Nigeria but found it in a Yoruba man.
Even Ojukwu himself, the man whom Igbos have come to believe is their greatest leader used his own mouth to publicly declare that this Yoruba man in question was the best president Nigeria never had. Why couldn't he find same from among his own supposedly more intelligent tribe?

Heck, you couldn't even conduct a simple presidential election which EVERY POLL predicted would be won by an Igbo man. You had to rig it.

Forget about the so called "unity schools"; what about JAMB and university entrance nko?
Shouldn't all Nigerians be tested purely based on intelligence? Why single out Igbo states to require higher cut-off marks?
Until you allow EVERY Nigerian to have the same cut off marks for university entrance, I will continue to say that Igbo are BY FAR more intelligent than others with lower cut-off marks.
And if you still doubt Igbo IQ superiority, give them independence and allow them to prove you right. QED.
Martin Luther King was a sociopolitical activist while intelligence is more of a biological trait hence a sociopolitical activist's view of a biological concept can't be valid. All biological principles show clearly that any living organism becomes relatively more inventive when faced with an existential threat, and the inventiveness naturally abates when that existential threat is removed. Therefore genuine inventiveness is a measure of intelligence in time of peace and safety when there is no compelling quest for survival.

The issue of autonomy you are harping on is actually against you because a people who genuinely believe that they would have excelled under autonomy would not have maintained a conspiratorial and criminal silence when all other regions were in the streets in demonstration against Ironsi's Unification Decree which was clearly going to kill autonomy. This is simple logic.

On the issue of seaport in Igbo land: does any Igbo State have access to the sea directly? If so, why couldn't Michael Okpara build one at that sea access point during the time you enjoyed the very autonomy you claim would have taken you to heaven on earth?

On the issue of presidential election; so the Igbo man would have won an election after openly calling it a religious war to the hearing of core Northern state voters who have the highest voter turn out and are passionately of a religious persuasion opposite that of the Igbo candidate who so declared?
If the Igbo man was going to win as you claim, then implicitly you are also claiming that majority of Nigerians masses loved him and actually vote for him. Is that not a self contradiction to your propaganda that other Nigerian ethnicities hate Igbos and deliberately don't want them to rule?

For JAMB and University entrance, you need to ask yourself whether state owned universities in the SE admit non-SEasterners as much as SEasterners are admitted into state owned universities outside their regions. Then per, federal government owned universities, the same explanation for unity schools holds. Most states in the SS and SW were ahead of Igbo states in founding their own universities.

The election of 2023 is actually proof of the OP position that they're the most intelligent tribe in Africa. Imagine a people who saw through the Tinubu and Buhari incompetence. You rather owe Igbo an apology for low intelligence voting dragging them back. I can't laugh abeg...that you're even proud of voting Tinubu has evinced your low IQ, which is what the OP is about. So let's not derail rthe post. It's about Igbos inability to stop the colonialist unlike the Japanes. If you have a view on that please.
But at the same time those very people were routing for a man whom they themselves once described as a huge failure of governance in Anambra. So it wasn't about intelligence but about seeking their turn to rule Nigeria. And if anything, Obi's tenure as Anambra governor can't be compared with Tinubu's as Lagos governor.
Peter Obi invested Anambra funds to buy the shares of a brewery which thereafter plummeted in value and causing over 80% capital erosion while Tinubu at the same time invested Lagos funds in Airtel which thereafter recorded over 300% capital appreciation. It clear that the one who made a very bad investment decision is the less intelligent. Then Peter Obi gave out so many false and bogus statistics.
So we actually dodged a bullet.
And come to think about it, you don't even need to be an economist to know that Peter Obi's decision to invest public funds in brewery business is a very unintelligent decision. Here are the reasons:

1. Those who drink bear in any population are usually of a very small percentage in the range of 10 to 15% , and that even among the few who drink, only about one third of them are really able to afford it from their pockets hence they are always at the mercy of their fellow drinkers who are generous enough to buy for them. In essence therefore, beer manufacture does not really generate revenue from the larger population composed of women and children and those men who don't drink.
An intelligent governor should have rather invested in the manufacture of soft drinks and biscuits which are far cheaper than beer, are eaten by over 80% of the population, even children and babies can easily afford it from their own pockets thus a good revenue stream for government, lower cost of production than beer, etc.
