Jobs/VacanciesRe: Useful Site by dearie(m): 2:17pm On Jul 15, 2006
c'mon Nigerians, learn how to appreciate gestures. What makes u think this isn't useful to job seekers, 'we should be able to think out of the box'
You might go thru and find ur interest aroused in something that will keep u busy b4 the big job comes.
PoliticsRe: Dr Mike Adenuga In Trouble With EFCC by dearie(m): 1:58pm On Jul 15, 2006
I dont understand what the hue and cry about Adenuga's arrest is all about. He's not a god, he's just a nigerain as most of us are, so if there are indications that he has soiled his hands, he should be made to face the music.

Why should we empathize with thieving 'big wigs' all because they've created jobs for some persons with our stolen money.

whether selective or not, the truth is, a guilty man is guilty, whether others are prosecuted or he's the only one prosecuted.

Besides he's still being investigated so lets not pre-empt the outcome of EFCC's probe.

Nemesis will catch up everyone that has aided in plunging Nigeria to this economic doldrum that we are stuggling to be free from.
RomanceRe: Rich Girlfriend Or Poor Girlfriend? by dearie(m): 1:38pm On Jul 15, 2006
what a question! it doesn't matter if she's rich or not, so long as she's submissive, humble and generally has the qualities i crave in a woman.

Her parents can be the d 'walmarts' of this world, or the 'gates' or even the poorest 'churchrats' I wouldn't care so long as they do not nose into our affair. I'm cool anyway.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Message From Nicon Transcorp by dearie(m): 12:54pm On Jul 15, 2006
Cool guys, i suppose that ends it , as kitaun wrote, toes will continue to be stepped upon, no one can change that, it's our reaction when it happens that we can work on.

Bechex, I will like to felicitate with u on ur offer with IBTC, i got to the interview stage but couldn't make it thru, but it's all ok now.

Kitaun, u appear to be nice, so stay that way,I'll just wish all of us luck.

Take care guys.
RomanceRe: Is This How To Ask A Girl Out? by dearie(m): 8:43am On Jul 15, 2006
I think different strokes go for different folks, as for me, Once i see a girl that makes me feel some creeping sensation in my spine, I would take my time to investigate her, afterwards I will walk up to her and try to initiate friendship.

I also like being natural and very funny, because girls appear to have this unquestionable penchance for guys who are loaded with humour.
RomanceWhy Are Somany Big Girls Unmarried by dearie(op): 8:02am On Jul 15, 2006
I was just doing a local survey on my own, and i discovered that most career ladies, the ones we call 'big girls' find it doubly difficult, compared to their not- so-elevated-in-status counteparts in getting married, or even getting a marriage proposal.

The question is, why are most of our big-girls who are often treated with so much respect in the society unmarried, whereas their uneducated counterparts get multiple marriage proposals.

CareerRe: Graduates Deficiency In Writing Or Expressing Themselves In English Language by dearie(m): 7:33am On Jul 15, 2006
Hey guys, Lets try be objective at issuing such criticisms, I understand the frustration with which the responses are meted. The truth is, postings like this are derogatory to the average Nigerian Graduate, and it pisses me to hear HR guys saying this all the time.

Lets face it, without being defensive, there are some positions that dont require u meeting with clients, highly tech. positions, all need is just to be expressive, and not impecabbly fluent.

However, I will advise those of us that appear to be plagued by this 'expression problem' to be humble and pick up some books to sharpen out diction, because no employer will be comfortable with having u on his pay roll without confidence on ur 'power of the gab'

Al da best

CelebritiesRe: 2face Idibia At 2006 BET Awards: Photo Gallery by dearie(m): 11:53pm On Jul 14, 2006
Hmmmmmmm lets be happy for Tuface, it is very evident that the 'fine-boy' is a very lucky chap, to be at BET awards with the Hollywood Superstars and the rest of them. Tuface is da bomb.

Congrats! Tuface we'r happy for u, but u can elevate ur dressing to match ur status at whatever occasion u'r invited to, so that ur fans will have no reason to punctuate any statement about you.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Guinness Test Yesterday Was Farce. What Happened: by dearie(m): 11:09pm On Jul 14, 2006
I really didn't get to witness the pulling down of the gate or what it is. I had gone b4 then, I was scheduled for 11.30, but was able to sit for 2-3 PM, and I left there almost immediately.

In fairness to Guinness, The situation was a bit beyond them and as such their flaw is understandable. I'm sure by their calculation, they would have been able to run the tests smoothly, if only the invitees were the only ones that came, but u know how job tests are in Lagos, Gatecrashers will always try to make their way in hence leading to chaotic situation. God will help us in this country.

For those of u that couldn't sit for the test, I'll suggest u try reaching the management to see if they can do anything by way of concession to u. I'll implore u to pray about it, 'cos they may feel they have enough scripts to mark to give them a sizeable no of eventual interviewees. All d same dont relax, make that move.

God will bless everyone of us with jobs of our earth-desires. AMEN
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Like To Know The Test Venue For The Nicon Test In Abuja by dearie(m): 10:41pm On Jul 14, 2006
Tobyto,
Thanx for that info, it is evident that the test will be in batches,. going by the list of the shortlisted candidates, only those whose surnames starts with alphabet A have been invited for tomorrow's test. So someone like me can hope to find my name sometime nextweek or month, as the case may be.

So pple, that u've not been invited shouldn't give u cause to lose a minute sleep. Them go call everybody, na turn by turn.

For those of u for tomorrow, al da best.
CelebritiesRe: Between M.j, M.c Hammer, Sisqo & Usher. by dearie(op): 12:49am On Jul 13, 2006

CelebritiesWho Is World Most Popular? by dearie(op): 12:01am On Jul 13, 2006
An issue came up recently, someone wanted to know who the most popular person on earth was, and somany names were heard.

I dont want to pre-empt ur answers with any of the names mentioned. To u, who do u think the most popular person on earth is? and who is the greatest person alive?

Lets have ur 2 answers and the reason 4 choosing them.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Have These Numbers Called You? by dearie(m): 11:54pm On Jul 12, 2006
i think u cant just conclude that it's an international call, there are pple within the country that have access to such nos, what do u make of yahoo-yahoo guys with international nos here.
Just be careful not to give in to swindlers.

I honestly pray it's a corporate body, but then let ur senses be more active and suppress such fantasies that could easily make u vulnerable to 419ners.

Al da best.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Message From Nicon Transcorp by dearie(m): 11:41pm On Jul 12, 2006
why are we so irascible? we r so short tempered that if one intends to give us some comic relief, he would need to think twice to do that. What is wrong with our sense of humour, we r supposedly the happiest people on earth, I dont just see the connection with us.
I suppose we hook up to this forum 4 a common purpose, so why not let us 'flex our muscles' on the purpose instead of chasing after frivolities like calling one another names or generally disparaging one another.

For the Nicon and Transcorp confusion, I suppose we r all clear about that now, i used to harbour that confusion until recently, so there's no big deal about the mix up. We could have easily answered the question, rather we chose to make an issue from that question.

Lets be humble, nobody is an island of knowledge.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Guyz Let's Do This by dearie(m): 11:18pm On Jul 12, 2006
that's a fantastic idea, though it may be discouraging when u think u've sent millions of applications and only a few or none has offered to invite u 4 a test.
It's advisable though, because i've been invited to write some tests after sending applications like that.
